Dahil sa bago ko obssession -- J-Drama: Last Friends -- kung saan-saan ako napunta at kung anu-ano ang nabasa ko sa internet.
See ... sa J-Drama: Last Friends yung character ni UENO JURI na si KISHIMO RUKA ay naging isang matinding diskusyon sa AFTERELLEN.COM. Sa unang episode kasi may isang eksena na mistulang gusto ni KISHIMO RUKA magpa-sex-change dahil lang may binabasa siya'ng isang website tungkol dito. Dahil anim na episodes pa lang ang natatapos i-translate ng ating mga dakilang fan-subbers, hindi natin alam kung ganun nga ang gusto niya mangyari. At siyempre di ko rin sasabihin ang nalalaman ko, kundi spoilers ang tawag dun. Dahil nga dito, kung anu-ano'ng labels ang ibinigay sa diskusyon kay KISHIMO RUKA. Transgender ba siya? True-blue Butch (definitely hindi femme)? Gender-queer? Intersex? Bi-sexual (oo, kasi may lalake'ng third party si RUKA)?
Ang dami labels ano. Pero sa ngayon wala makaka-sagot kung ano ba talaga si KISHIMO RUKA dahil patuloy pa rin ipinalalabas sa Japan ang drama na ito.
Buong buhay ko ... ang biro, pang-asar o pang-alot sa akin ay "Di Tiyak" o "Neutre" dahil babae ako physically, pero mas maton pa ako sa mga lalake ko'ng kaklase, mas malandi naman ako sa mga babae ko'ng kaklase, at minsan hindi nila mawari kung ano ba talaga ang gender assignment ko.
Dahil lahat ng nagustuhan ko'ng lalake ay bi-shounen at kadalasan kapag pinag-suot mo ng wig na mahaba ay mas maganda pa sa akin (at yung iba sa kanila ay mahaba talaga ang buhok). Pero may mga pinatulan din naman ako na kahit bali-baliktarin mo ang mundo, mukha pa ring lalake.
Kahit nung nag-out na ako bilang isang bi-sexual, hindi pa rin ako makampante. Dahil sobrang patay-na-patay ako kay Angelica Panganiban, Bianca King at Anna Tsuchiya, pero pag-dating sa kalye, kadalasan na nagugustuhan ko ay mga butch (or soft-butch). Dahil sa mga komyunidad na nasaksihan ko, ang kanilang mga characteristics and characterization ay laging black or white -- butch or femme ... at hindi ako mapakali sa iisang sektor. May biro ako noon kay Mai, kapag nagkaroon ng black or white party, darating ako naka-gray.
Pero ngayon masasagot ko na kung ano ako. Hindi na ako as confused as before ...
Ako ay isang PAN-SEXUAL GENDER-QUEER.

American Idol 2002 ... sinuportahan ko si Justin Guarini, pero napunta kay Kelly Clarkson ang kauna-unahang titulo. Pero dahil hindi pa siya pinalalabas dito sa Pilipinas noon, wala ako masyado paki-alam.
American Idol 2003 ... hindi pa rin pinalalabas, nakikibalita lang kami sa mga kamag-anak sa USA at sa internet. Si Clay Aiken ang gusto ko, napunta ang "sympathy" vote (or so they say) kay Ruben Studdard.
American Idol 2004 ... pinalabas siya sa Star World, at dun ako nag-umpisa talagang manood. Kaso, nung narinig ko si Fantasia Barrino, hindi na ako nag-abala pumili ng kandidato ko. Alam ko na siya ang mananalo kahit hindi ko siya gusto.
American Idol 2005 ... Nabaliw-baliw ako kay Constantine Maroulis. Duda ko na si Carrie Underwood ang mananalo. Pero ang sinusuportahan ko pa rin ay si Bo Bice. Nanalo si Carrie Underwood.
American Idol 2006 ... Nung nakita ko si Katherine McPhee, kala ko another Fantasia Barrino. Pero gusto ko siya, kaya sinuportahan ko. Pero napunta kay Taylor Hicks (a.k.a. Jay Leno) ang panalo. Nakaka-dismaya.
American Idol 2007 ... dahil dismayado na ako, hindi na ako nag-abala pa manood ng season na ito. Ang sympathy ko na kay Blake Lewis, pero alam ko sa iba mapupunta ang titulo. Di na ako naki-alam.
American Idol 2008 ...
FINALLY!!! NANALO ANG PATO KO!!!I LOVE YOU DAVID COOK!!!muling nagbabalik ang tiwala ko sa industriya.

Napanood niyo na ba ang SPEED RACER? Ako hindi pa. Pero kita naman sa mga kalat-kalat na mga tarps at sari-saring chuva-ek-ek, si RAIN ng Korea, ay may malaking role sa Speed Racer. In fact, nag-guest pa yang si Rain sa show ni STEPHEN COLBERT na THE COLBERT REPORT at nag-sayaw-sayaw siya dun. Ngayon, shinu-shoot na ang NINJA ASSASIN. Si Rain din bida, WACHOWSKI BROTHERS ulit.
Si GACKT CAMUI ng Japan naman lalabas sa BUNRAKU na ipapalabas sa 2009. Naglipana na sa internet ang pictures ni Gackt kasama si JOSH HARTNET. Pwera pa kay Josh Hartnet, kasama niya sa cast si DEMI MOORE, WOODY HARRELSON, RON PERLMAN at kung sino pa. Kung na-criticize si Rain sa pag-ganap niya sa Speed Racer, at base sa MOONCHILD ni Gackt, tingin ko dadaan din sa matinding butas ng karayom ang isang ito.
Older news, si SE7EN naman ng Korea ay nakikipag-negotiate sa isang American cable TV show. Ok sa akin si Se7en. Sana ok din ang kalabasan niya sa USA.
May mga kumalat din na balita na ang TVXQ (a.k.a. DBSK) at si BOA ay lilipad na rin sa U.S.A. para dun mag-trabaho. Pero na-confirm na malayo pa ito'ng mangyari. Hindi pa daw handa ang mga bata.
Alam ko marami ang nakaka-intindi sa akin, bakit ako nag-aaksaya ng panahon -- sa pagitan ng pagda-download ng mga imahe na kailangan sa presentation at pagbabasa ng VIDEO GIRL AI online -- sa pag-blog ng mga balita na ito.
Pero, dahil sa tagal ko na may kausap ako tungkol sa mga ito (mula 1997), nalimutan ko na ang karamihan sa populasyon ng mundo, hindi kilala ang mga tao na pinagbababanggit ko. So na-challenge ako kay Rez sa sinabi niya na wala daw signature look si Maetel. On the contrary, mapapatunayan ko na wala ibang damit si Maetel kundi yung itim na damit niya (na naging puti sa Maetel Legends).
Hindi ko pa rin maintindihan bakit wala pumik-up sa kanya dito sa Pinas at sa Japan pa sya sumikat. Good for her. Mas malawak ang market niya.

ULIT! Iba po ito sa GALAXY EXPRESS RAILWAYS (1996). Ito po yung movies na lumabas late 70s and early 80s ... H'wag po natin pag-palit-palitin ... (for more info ... eto wiki page niya ... )
Pasensya na sa intro ko ... may naka-away na ako tungkol dito. Isang araw, nag-kwento ako na isa sa mga pinakamagandang anime ay ang GALAXY EXPRESS 999 ni Leiji Matsumoto (gumawa din ng Captain Harlock, Space Battle Yamato at Queen Emeraldas [*bows to Queen]). Pero, eto ka ... bumalik sya sa kin mga ilang linggo naka-lipas at sinabi niya, "ay Dek, napanood mo na ba yung Galaxy Express? Ang ganda pala ng kuwento nun!." Alam ko na na hindi 999 ang sinasabi niya, dahil ang access niya lang sa anime ay Animax, at ida-download niya lang yung natipuhan nya'ng anime dun. So nilinaw ko, "Galaxy Express Railways? o yung Galaxy Express 999?" umasa kasi ako na nakinig siya sa kwento ko. Syempre sinagot niya "isn't it the same?" O gawd! People! Do not follow this person's steps! They're *NOT the same! Hindi sila pareho! My brother is not a pig! Hindi siya baboy!
Okay ... pagkaka-mali ko nag-init agad ulo ko at hindi ko in-explain yung kagandahan ng 999 at bakit after 17 years ay nagkaroon na ng mga kapatid si 999 at naging RAILWAYS na siya. Tanggap ko na pag-kakamali ko. So sorry na lang po. Kung kilala mo sarili mo, subukan mo i-download ang 999 at panoorin iyun. Isa siya sa eternally socially relevant anime na napanood ko ... dahil ito ay tungkol (as any Space Opera and Cyber/Steampunk SF goes) sa individuality, freedom at liberty.
HINDI po ito ang dahilan kung bakit ako napa-blog na naman bigla tungkol sa anime. Mukhang lately napapadalas ang blog ko ... at lahat wala siya kinalaman sa buhay ko kundi sa mga impluwensya ng panunulat ko.
Dahil sa AKIHABARA@DEEP, bigla ko naalala si Tetsuro at si Maetel. Si Maetel ay isa sa pangarap ko ma-cosplay. At isang araw, gugulatin ko na lang kayo. So naghanap ako ng pictures niya online. At napadpad ako siyempre sa Wiki site ng 999.
At dun ko nalaman na may 3RD MOVIE PALA SYA! Azuzginoo! Eto ang napapala ng hindi kumakausap ng old timers. Hindi ko tuloy nalaman na may part 3 pa pala ang 999 ... Then again, marami ang hindi nagustuhan ang kinalabasan ng ADIEU GALAXY EXPRESS 999 ... sa akin ang Adieu 999 ay average lang ... hindi ko siya ilalagay sa pedestal mag-isa tulad ng tatay niya ...
So ngayon, paano ko malalaman kung hindi rin pala maganda ang GALAXY EXPRESS 999: ETERNAL FANTASY? Meron ba makakasagot sa tanong ko? Sagutin niyo naman oh?

Nakaka-lungkot naman ... wala ako maka-usap tungkol sa mga ito ... dahil lahat ng nakapaligid sa akin ay walang alam sa old school anime ... *sigh
Lahat ng nakaka-alam nito (a.k.a. PS Boys ng Magic Kingdom) ay di ko na rin maka-usap dahil iba-iba ang oras namin. (Dubai-time ako, USA time sila).
Matagal ko na hawak ang MAISON IKOKKU live-action. Marami ako opinion, wala ako kausap. Wala nang nakakakilala kung ano ang Maison Ikokku. Naaalala ko noong unang panahon, ito ang Chobits namin. Walang robot, walang rekado. Just good old romantic comedy na inabot ng daan-daang episodes (exagerated). Ano ba ang ie-expect mo kay Rumiko Takahashi?
Syempre, yung live-action ng GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES. Ako lang ang um-enjoy at umiyak. Sayang. Nanako Matsushima pa naman yun.
Ngayon, binisita ko ang page ni Kamenashi Jin sa wiki.d-addicts at nakita ko ang pinaka-current niya tina-trabaho. Napatili ako sa excitement (sa sobrang excitement napa-blog ako diba?), dahil ang nabasa ko ay 1 POUND NO FUKUIN or ni in nglish, ONE POUND GOSPEL. Hindi ko makita na si KameJin ang Hatanaka. Malaki kasi katawan sa anime ... lamunero kasi. Pero maganda ang Sister Angela. Interesante...
