Tomorrow morning I take off for Germany, on the Friendship Union tour with Foot Village. There probably won't be a newsletter next week since I'll still be gone. I was hoping to have the next Noise For Obama announcement ready by today, but we're still waiting on a bunch of details. I can reveal the nature of the update: There will be a series of Noise For Obama concerts around the US to raise money and awareness for the Obama/Biden campaign. The LA one will be at the Smell on Sat Oct 11th. There will also be one in Philly and one in Brooklyn. Looks like Pittsburgh is a go too. Hopefully I'll be able to let you all know about it with some warning. In any case, the lineups are awesome.

Foot Village starts their Friendship Union EU tour this friday, at a blacklight party in Berlin!
Foot Village will have an exclusive tour cdr that features a practice space recording of a loop based song from their forthcoming album, Anti-Magic. Listen to this loop, have your band record your own version of it (mutate it as much as you want as well), and send the recording to Foot Village. If they like it, it will be used in a "It's a Small World" style parade at the end of their album.
Also, please bring drum sticks to the band for a free copy of this cdr!

Eva Aguila, who also plays in Gang Wizard (Load/Ecstatic Peace), will be visiting EU for her 2nd time under the name Kevin Shields. Her solo work is centered around mechanics and magnetism. She has a 12" out on RRR, a full length CD on EMR, and a split 7" with Thurston Moore on Deathbomb Arc

Brittany Gould does vocal work under the name Married In Berdichev! Combining a gorgeous well trained voice with various noise techniques, Brittany creates ballads as far from the soft-rock genre as possible. She has also performed as a member of Jandek.

Together they perform as Caldera Lakes. Their most recent cassette is on Blackest Rainbow.

documentation of Foot Village's work in social efficiency (aka the

Hello Deathbomb Friends,

This past weekend was probably one of the most pivotal that I'll ever have in my life. I experience both playing in Boredoms 88 and the death of my grandmother, both on the same day. 88 Boadrum was so much more than I even expected. I thought it would just be an amazing fanfare event. It ended up being the physical embodiment of everything musical (which is almost just plain everything) I've dedicated my life to. My grandmothers passing is basically the opposite. I have an extremely small family, and her physical loss makes my blood family even smaller. As Josh Taylor said to me, I experienced the yin/yang thing in its most extreme. Fortunately I consider the overall positive. But it does mean that I am gone this week to help take care of my grandmother's affairs, so I can't send out orders. They will go out early next week though.
