| "Gackt, will you be my valentine?" Contest Update |
[Tuesday, March 14th, 2006
at 9:26pm] |
Dear Euphoria Members:
Due to the technical difficulties that we have experienced within the last month, some of you may have been unable to submit your contest entries. In this regard, we feel that it would be more reasonable to extend the contest deadline to March 27, 2006 at 12:00 AM, Pacific Standard Time.
So don't be shy! We have 4 distinct categories for you to choose from: writing, artwork, music, and video. And don't forget the wonderful prizes that we are just dying to hand out! The winners in the writing and artwork categories will each be given the February 2006 issue of Fool's Mate, featuring the Awesomeness Gackt. As for the winners in the music and video categories, the Redemption single awaits!
Please visit the contest website for complete contest details and submission guidelines. Bring on the competitiveness and your love of Gackt, and we look forward to receiving contest entries from you!

| Euphoria update... |
[Monday, March 13th, 2006
at 10:26pm] |
Dear Euphoria members:
As promised, we bring you a progress report with both good news and bad news.
With respect to our work that was deleted by the old webhost, unfortunately we were not able to retrieve any data. What this means is that our web developer will have to re-do everything. Originally we were hopeful that we can still launch on the promised date; however, we are not prepared to compromise the official launch of Euphoria by releasing an unfinished product.
With this in mind, we are left with no choice but to announce (albeit with a heavy heart) the delay of Euphoria’s official launch date to March 27th, 2006. This will allow the web developer some time to re-do the work, and also a bit of time for us to ensure that the website will run smoothly. We sincerely apologize to everyone who has been supportive and eagerly waiting for the launch.
PLEASE NOTE: with our move to the new webhost completed, our web address has changed. It is now http://www.gackt.org. At the same time, we have also updated our contest website to http://contest.gackt.org. For those of you who want to submit contest entries, please click on “Submission” and follow the instructions thereafter. Please be advised that the forum link does not work at the moment. Any questions or concerns can be directed to inquiries@gackt.org.
Thank you for your attention, and please look forward to March 27th along with all of us here at Euphoria.
Yours truly, Euphoria Administration and Staff

| What happened? |
[Sunday, March 12th, 2006
at 11:13am] |
Dear Euphoria members,
We apologize for the downtime which Euphoria is experiencing. At the moment, we are going through a lot of technical troubles. Here is a brief run-down:
Euphoria was down for two days because the webhost was apparently changing datacentres, which they did not inform their clients about. This was extremely bad practice, and as a result, I decided to transfer hosts (which I had already purchased from another company - recommended, and great!) as quickly as possible. The forum was back up after two days downtime; however, when I e-mailed the old webhost to inquire on how to terminate services, they went ahead and terminated it without confirming with me. I sent them an e-mail back immediately to inquire on whether they've retained my files and databases, but everything was cancelled; therefore, nothing was retained.
I'm sorry to say that Euphoria may have to extend its launch again due to these technical problems. However, depending on how much work we can get done today, it may launch as expected - without much content because we will be uploading contents as time goes by. We are hoping things will go well.
To those who want to submit contest entries, please wait until the website is up again (there will be an entry here stating that.) We are having the contest website up as soon as possible. As for the forum, we are trying to restore it with the backed-up files, although it isn't going too well. Don't worry though, Euphoria will work through these and make a great come-back.
Again, we are very very sorry for all the delays, and we hope you understand.
Thank you for your continuous support and patience, and please wish us luck as we pull everything together again.
Cheri.

Greetings and welcome to the Euphoria temporary community. This community will serve as a bridge between the Euphoria team and the Euphoria fanbase in the meanwhile as the team works to get the community up. Here, you may direct questions, comments and suggestions to the Euphoria team as well as catch up on progress and news. If we were to expand in the future, this would become a recruitment community as well. There will be no posting access to the fanbase, but you are all free to comment about anything, even if they're irrelevant to the entry's content. Please keep in mind that although we did not place down a set of rules, the usual of every community rules apply. I believe you all have some common sense and know the line between what is correct and what isn't. We will have zero tolerance with people who cross the line.
Once again, thank you for coming, and we hope to see you in the actual community soon!
With undying love, Cheri.
