Guess I deserve that people I care for remove me from their f-list because I'm a dead LJ, or we've gone separate ways since I don't comment/read/write anymore. It was bound to happen, I just didn't think it would start this soon.

By the way, just for the sake of keeping this journal alive, I'm undergoing surgery next week.

Ayuda!! Saturday, 28 Jun 2008 @ 08:00pm

Ayer, mi cuñado asustó a varios gatos.

Hospitals, colics, life is evil. Friday, 20 Jun 2008 @ 01:28am
Where to start?

To make a long story short, I've been hospitalized (and internet-less) since Saturday. I've been discharged today, so I'm back home, at last.

Apparently my stress crisis wasn't a stress crisis but gall stones. I had a severus colic on Tuesday, and we called the doctor. He said it was stress again, and prescribed some antistress medicine. Then I woke up at 4:00am on Saturday with incredible pain again. At 8:00am or so we called the doctor again and this time I was sent to the hospital. This doctor said it was unbelievable that I would be diagnosed with stress twice without having ruled out a 'real' illness first. She said it felt like something was wrong with my gall or liver and I should get it looked at at the hospital. So they took me to the hospital in an ambulance and made a batch of tests on me and I was diagnosed with acute hepatitis caused by gall stones. You know, I could write a whole book to explain this week, there has been a lot of surreal things happening and stuff, but I just don't feel strong enough. I just needed to update this to let you know I'm okay now, even if nobody missed me, you didn't know how sick I was or that I was sick at all, or even give a damn. Whatever.

I'm kind of okay now. The pain is gone for now but I need to undergo surgery to remove my gall bladder in the (very) near future. I just hope there are no more colics until then, because I really wanted to die if that meant the pain would end. You just can't imagine how much it hurt. It was hell.

Anyway, I don't feel strong or insane enough to catch up with a week worth of posts, so if you think there's something I should know, please, please, point me to it.

Geez, I'm so glad to be back home.

I hate twitter. And I absolutely hate all those "tweets for today" posts sprouting out like mushrooms all over my f-list.

Just saying. Feel free to disagree.

More on livejournal stuff Monday, 17 Mar 2008 @ 10:33pm
I hope this isn't cluttering your f-list yet. If it is, I'm extremely sorry, but this is something that bothers me, so I'm posting it anyway. Peace.

The one-day content strike is on for this Friday, March 21, from midnight GMT to midnight GMT.

For 24 hours, we will not post or comment to LJ. Not in our own journals, not in communities. Not publicly, privately, or under friends-lock.

This is a protest that will have long-lasting effects, showing up forever in the daily posting statistics.

This is a protest that will not harm LJ in the long run, as leaving LJ might do.

This is a protest that will demonstrate the power of community, as all users unite to support Basic users and the concept of adfree space.

This is a protest that will educate the new owners that LJ is driven by user-created content.

How Can I Help?

DO post about this in your own LJ.
DO post and comment about it in appropriate communities.
DO remember that it's based on Greenwich Mean Time, which may not be your local time.
DO turn off LoudTwitter and your RSS feeds for 24 hours.
DO feel free to friend </a></b></a>[info]beckyzoole for updates, and defriend when the strike is over.
DON'T forget to get permission from community mods before making an off-topic post or comment about the strike.
DON'T be spammy with your posts or comments about the strike.

These are the points we want to make through the strike:

# Restore basic accounts for new account creation.

# Inform users before any change to the site that affects how we use the site or demands on our resources.

# Run change proposals by the Advisory Board and take their advice into account before implementation of any change.

# Homophobia, misogyny, and racism must not be a part of the decision making processes about appropriate content of the site, including what user interests are deemed appropriate.

But I'm cutting it because my non-spanish-speaking friends might like me better this way :D )

More on LJ fuck ups. Sorry if you're tired of this topic, but I think you should know. Sunday, 16 Mar 2008 @ 03:39pm
Again, this is another reason why I'm gonna be leaving El Jay for Insanejournal as soon as my paid account expires. Just so you know.

[info]tarma said:
I said I'd never post here again, but things are happening in LiveJournal-land that people may not be hearing about unless they subscribe to </a></b></a>[info]news, which is where all their dirty laundry ends up coming out, not in their posts, but in the comments from users. In the interest of convincing people that InsaneJournal is the way to go, here's an update on how low LJ has sunk.

Let's concentrate on the past few days alone.

NO MORE BASIC ACCOUNTS. That means that if you sign up for a new LJ, you see ads or pay up. Did LJ announce this? No, they hid it in their FAQ, but someone saw it and called them on it in the comments of THIS post (the fun begins on Page 2.)

Then the next day, after thousands of angry comments, instead of posting an apology for being underhanded, they scolded us for daring to catch them at it.

Today it was discovered that they've removed 'fanfiction', 'yaoi', 'boys', 'girls', 'bisexuality', and 'depression' (just to name a few) from their 'popular interests' list! For details, go here.

So not only is LJ anti-fandom, they're blatantly homophobic.

Btw, here is a post running down all of LJ's screw-ups in recent years (up to the removal of Basic accounts.)

This post is still Friend's Only because of my stalker issue, but you may copy/past it and any of the links to your hearts content.

I found the link about the censored interests especially interesting. Especially since they never said they would censor the most popular interests or why. Right now, I do feel betrayed which is why I won't be renewing my account when it expires, and I'll be moving the hell out of here. Just letting you guys know in case you care.

Perhaps they would enjoy it, since we aren't welcomed here anymore, but I think their holy business would suffer if all the fans of those interests they've censored were to leave the place. That's what we all should do. Just up and leave already.

LIVEJOURNAL FAILS AGAIN Thursday, 13 Mar 2008 @ 03:41am
So apparently LJ did it again. No basic accounts anymore for anyone. You want LJ you either pay for it or see adds everywhere. That's about it. No news about it, no previous warning, no nothing. Users had to find the hard way after it was already done. Yay for LJ's new bosses. It's glorious.

They're failing big time. Seriously people. Let's move out of here and into Insanejournal already. This sucks hairy ass.

Well, it's not a secret that Edward_K is a really amazing person, what with all he's done - and does everyday - for the anime fans and fansubbers community.

But really, just so you know, believe me if I say that he's one of the nicest and most generous friends I have. There should be a shrine to worship him :D

I'm sure you've seen something related to this experiment in the news (even I did, so...) but here's a little game to test your abilities. Will you be able to beat Ayumu?

Game here.

For the record. I did. I've gotten 9/10 several times :P Haven't been able to get 10/10 yet, though.

¡Oh, cielos!

A change of look Friday, 08 Feb 2008 @ 02:42pm
I've permed my hair!! (from straight to curly). It's not too curly, either, but just enough to make me look completely different... and I like it a lot!!

I think I look even younger now, everyone assumes I'm in my teens now. It's so funny. :D The other day one of my sister's coworkers assumed I'm her 15-16 year-old daughter. I couldn't stop laughing, and she wanted to cry XD

I'm wondering if I shouldn't get some Snoopy/Peanuts stuff from Oysho to look even younger :P

:******* Wednesday, 06 Feb 2008 @ 10:37am
Hoy puede ser un gran día.
Plantéatelo así,
aprovecharlo o que pase de largo,
depende en parte de ti.
Dale el día libre a la experiencia
para comenzar,
y recíbelo como si fuera
fiesta de guardar.
No consientas que se esfume,
asómate y consume
la vida a granel.
Hoy puede ser un gran día,
duro con él.

Hoy puede ser un gran día
donde todo está por descubrir,
si lo empleas como el último
que te toca vivir.
Saca de paseo a tus instintos
y ventílalos al sol
y no dosifiques los placeres;
si puedes, derróchalos.
Si la rutina te aplasta,
dile que ya basta
de mediocridad.
Hoy puede ser un gran día
date una oportunidad.

Hoy puede ser un gran día
imposible de recuperar,
un ejemplar único,
no lo dejes escapar.
Que todo cuanto te rodea
lo han puesto para ti.
No lo mires desde la ventana
y siéntate al festín.
Pelea por lo que quieres
y no desesperes
si algo no anda bien.
Hoy puede ser un gran día
y mañana también.
