Getting back into things, I'm taking pics after losing a bunch of shots due to a card failure.

However, all failures can be met with success afterwards, unless failure means your death in which case someone else will likely profit. Anyhow... yeah. New picture on link.
4th-Sep-2008 04:04 am - On E-popularity
Brown
Behold - I'm fooling around with various ideas on internet popularity, when it comes to DA. No, not how to gain it, but what it seems to mean about the people who watch someone. Not so much about the person who's being watched.

For various commissions I've put out, by favorites on DA amongst three ladies of great skill:
TL;DR - table and commentary. )
Basically, e-popularity is an interesting thing, and all analysis of it should be treated with as much seriousness as e-popularity itself. None. I've been bored these past hours that I've been meaning to actually go to bed during, and... yeah. It shows.

Well done, you two! ~.^

They know who they are. Most of you who read this should too.
12th-Aug-2008 01:57 pm - eHarmony rambling
Brown
Okay, so... this may be a start of something. Strange things on eHarmony - from a guy's standpoint.

I'm sure women have their share of stories like this about guys, but naturally I'm not ending up with guys. Go figure.

So today's story of this young lady, well she's 27. My first impression is "No use of shift key, couldn't follow instructions" - she hadn't used the shift key at all, nor apostrophies (im versus I'm), and filled in both city and state when asked for city. It automagically fills in state, and you can edit it.

However, she was six foot even, blonde, looked like her breasts were up there with Xai's, and scrawnier than Dallas. No offense, Dally-girl. So I bothered to read the profile because hey... even if she is potentially dumb as a box of rocks, there's something to be said for just messing around. Then I got down to her "five things I can't live without", item 5: (and I quote)
"*my husband"

Yeah. Clicked the "close match" link. Even if she meant it in some clever "you if we make it that far" way, the rest of her profile didn't indicate that kind of advanced thinking.

[30 July 2008 01:53:32] Dat: question for ya, if you feel like answering.
[30 July 2008 01:53:41] Xai: 42
[30 July 2008 01:53:57] Dat: well, I suppose that would be an interesting, if tiring answer to my question.
[30 July 2008 01:54:11] Dat: and, so you know, this is so getting LJ'ed now.
[30 July 2008 01:54:43] Dat: Anyhow, question is... what would you see as the perfect sort of girl for me? And now you see what I mean by an interesting answer.

Well... Pearl passed on at 7:35PM this evening. I need to figure out where to bury her, now.

Yet, at least. Pearl, my cat of eight years who has at least eight more behind her... well, she's dying. Over the course of today, it seems she's finally lost the ability to walk. She can sit upight if, well, I help her up. Otherwise...

She's going.

Well, finally did my own tribute, in my own way. Few will likely ever see it, but... well, it felt right to place a dedication on a piece of code.

Now, I'm off to sleep.

Firstly, thanks to all of you who wished me a happy birthday. I really appreciate it, particularly the gift that [info]_patches_ did. Continuing on, cut for your sakes:
