Huge early ratings for Palin-Biden debate

This has to scare the Democrats as Governor Palin clearly took it to Senator Biden.

She is a straight talker. You may not agree with her on some issues, but you know where she stands. At one point last night, my wife, who is not into politics said, "she has more balls than he does". She was referring to Governor Palin's candid talk and Senator Biden being a typical Washington politician and trying to be on both sides of the fence of every issue.

Don't think people did not notice this. The Democrats and media are doing everything they can to tear this woman down, but yet the public watches in record numbers to hear what she has to say.

I say lets start a dump McCain campaign and lets elect Sarah Palin for President.

Now, thats REAL change.

What we have here folks is a lack of leadership.

Not only could Congress not come up with a workable plan, but then Nancy Peolsi could not even deliver votes from her own party as 40% of the Democrats in the House rejected this stinker. Lots have been said about the popularity of the President, but this Congress has even lower approval ratings, and for a reason.

The Democrats could have passed this or any other bill along party lines, but can not due to a lack of leadership. There will be a lot of fallout from this fiscal mess we are in, but another casualty may be the leadership of each party in Washington. We may have an opportunity here folks to make some kind of change from the usual junk we are getting from Washington.

''The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing."

Thanks to Powerline for posting about this, which Mr. Frank said in 2003 and was printed in a New York Times article about pending legislation, supported by the administration, to put curbs on these two run away trains.

''The current regulator does not have the tools, or the mandate, to adequately regulate these enterprises,'' Mr. Oxley said at the hearing. ''We have seen in recent months that mismanagement and questionable accounting practices went largely unnoticed by the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight,'' the independent agency that now regulates the companies. ...

Significant details must still be worked out before Congress can approve a bill. Among the groups denouncing the proposal today were the National Association of Home Builders and Congressional Democrats who fear that tighter regulation of the companies could sharply reduce their commitment to financing low-income and affordable housing.

Remember this when the Democrats try to blame the President for this crisis.

Senator Obama, you appear like a deer who has been caught in headlights, not knowing what to do. Delaying a debate is the least you can do. Your responsibility is still as a Senator, who should participating and leading this debate on how to deal with this issue. Declaring "The Debate is on" is shirking your responsibilities and not the sign of a leader.

Folks, I think this is huge as we see how the candidates deal with an extraordinary issue that confronts our country today. We need leadership, not a debate.

And folks thought Dan Quayle was bad. Somebody needs to tell Joe that Roosevelt was not even President when the stock market crashed. And TV was in its infancy.

If this was the best Barack Obama could do with his choice for VP, maybe we should be questioning his decision making skills and the choices he makes for those he surrounds himself with.

Homeless woman shoots man who refused to give her money

A 47-year-old woman who allegedly shot and injured a man after he refused to give her money was captured a short time later this evening when a bus driver spotted her in his bus.

So now the homeless can afford guns and ammunition?

Times are certainly changing.

"If you want to know where Al Qaeda lives, you want to know where Bin Laden is, come back to Afghanistan with me," Biden said. "Come back to the area where my helicopter was forced down, with a three-star general and three senators at 10,500 feet in the middle of those mountains. I can tell you where they are."

Now the truth.
In February 2008, Biden -- along with Sens. John Kerry, D-Mass., and Chuck Hagel, R-Neb. -- was on a chopper that made an emergency landing in the mountains of Afghanistan.

This is just like Hillary and her story of being fired upon. Seems Democrats need to make up stories to make themselves look like hero's.

Anybody else wondering why this is not getting more press? If this was Sarah Palin, it would be all over the front page. I guess they expect stuff like this from someone who was caught copying the work of others in College. Looks like Joe has problems doing things on his own.

A leader is never afraid to speak before the polls come out.

Addressing a business group in Wisconsin, the Republican presidential hopeful said the Fed should get back to what he called "its core business of responsibly managing our money supply and inflation."

The Arizona senator reiterated his call to fire S-E-C chairman Chris Cox, saying there needed to be greater accountability in Washington.

Whether you agree or not, at least he is taking a course of action. It is called being proactive instead of reactive.

I am sure many of you saw the stories recently that told us that the Arctic ice was melting and we were all headed towards doom.

Newsbusters has a story today that will probably not been shown as a follow up to those scare tactics.

It's only been a couple months when the networks were screaming about Arctic ice disappearing this summer. And, no surprise, they were entirely wrong. By 1.74 million square miles.

I guess Santa has not been foreclosed on yet.

In case you missed it, while Mr. Howard was at a recent event, he made the following comments during the National Anthem.

"'The Star-Spangled Banner' is going on. I don't celebrate this [expletive]. I'm black."

You are also an American, Mr. Howard and freedom is not free. Folks like yourself should leave if you do not feel this county is for you. Unfortunately, your big paycheck would not go with you, so I guess you will not be leaving anytime soon.
