So as my post yesterday said, my dog was ill yesterday (and still is today). And because I have a fully booked night ahead of me there was no way I could take him to the vet this evening. So I ended up leaving work early to take him. 120+ dollars later, Oreo has the same thing he got last year. Some condition I can't pronouce...He has a sensative intestine...oy! I tell ya!
So I dropped him home after the Vet and left to go to my Chiropractic appointment all the way in the westend. That went well. I had to take my mom's car because mine was getting was getting her tires changed. On the way back from the Chiro I got a TXT MSG from my uncle telling me my car was ready. So I drove to my mom's to pick her up and then we went and picked up my car. Casey (that's my car's name) look pretty with her new tires. :)
Mom and I decided to go to Derringers for dinner before the show. Good meal as always. Then off to the NAC we went! First thing we did when we got in is bought Melissa Etheridge goodies. I bought a bag, a keychain and a t-shirt. OCD Much? lol And mom bought a hat and ME's Greatest Hits CD. We sat in the lobby for a while and decided we'd go in to sit. Amazing seats! Row B. Dead center. While waiting for the show to start, a girl walked down the row of seats in front of us and I said to my mom: "Look at that girl's shirt, it's cool" It said TO ERR IS HUMANE. TO ARR IS PIRATE. (It's true, I said that lol) I thought it was the funniest thing ever. Not long after she walked back and it turns out that girl was my very new Xenite/LJ friend xena_and_gabby!! She came to say hello. :)
As expected, the show was amazing!! Melissa is amazing! She can sing like no one can and she's also very funny! Cracking Jokes and all. She sang a bunch classic Etheridge as well as some new ones. (Her new CD is great.) Peace of my Heart was her last and Man she Rocked it out. I've seen her perform that song before but it never gets old. Especially that scream. Crowd went crazy! I could go on for hours but i wont because I have work to do. I hope she comes back in two years because you can be sure I will be there. I would pay any amount of money to see her.
Back to work!! :D

Oreo why must you pick Melissa Etheridge concert day to be sick...it was such a good day up until now!!
Picture below is why I'm willing to spend so much money...

I sure hope today goes by fast because I'm really looking forwad to tonight. "What's going on tonight?" you might ask. Well, tonight I'm going to my 3rd Melissa Ethridge Concert and I'm super excited. She's phenominal artist and I'm a big fan. Her shows always rock. And I mean ROCK!!!
So, I'm busy today at work, which is good because the day will go by fast. Show's at 8PM but mom and I decided we'd go eat downtown some where before the show. Not sure where yet though...
Ok, that's all for now. :)
Have a great day all!!
PS: xena_and_gabby, IF YOU HEAR SOMEONE SCREAMING "LITTLE SECRET" IN THE CROWD, IT'S ME!! lol :D

The wonderful City of Quebec is Celebrating its 400th birthday today!!!
I've live in that City for 2 years and loved it. Beautiful place to visit or live in.
HAPPY 400TH BIRTHDAY QUEBEC CITY!!
Now on to why I decided to post about this. If you're from Canada, you know about the whole Seperation of the Province of Quebec thing. And how some Quebecers want the province to seperate from the country. This has been going on for decades. The (stupid) people who are for this are called Seperatists. It's not the majority of Quebecers but there's a lot of these fuckers out there who are just not happy to be Canadian and want nothing to do with this WONDERFUL country. (I wont go in to details as to why because I could be here for days) Well now with Quebec's 400th being a huge celebration, the Federal Government has givin This Wonderful City loads of money and services (ie: The army is helping out with security and more) to help with the celebration. Awesome! THey deserve it. Well now the Seperatists are mking stupid comments like "We don't want Canada's help and money". What is their problem?? Seriously. The country you want nothing to do with is helping out emensly and you basically thank them by spitting on them. What pisses me off the most is that I KNOW that if the Canadian Government wouldn't have given them anything for the celebration they would have bitched about how they got nothing. They are just never happy. Ever heard of shutting your mouths and saying thank you?? If you're not happy of living in this fucking awesome Country then get the fuck out ok! Go live somewhere like Iraq of Afganistan where life is so much better and peaceful. Maybe then you'll realise that life in Canada is not so bad...
**Rant Over!**
Again, HAPPY 400TH BIRTHDAY To the VERY BEAUTIFUL QUEBEC CITY!!
I wish I could be there to celebrate with you guys !Rock on!

Woo Hoo!!!
Finally, it's time to start going back to the cottage. And man do I ever need it.
Winter and life was crazy this year. Several hundreds of centimeters of snow and an un-expected move. I need a break. The cottage allows me to forget what ever it is I left behind in the city. No internet, no cable, no phone. Complete peace. Does it get any better? Laying in the sun with a beer in hand. Peace.
So I booked this afternoon off from work. Then I'm going home packing up MY dog and my stuff and heading out!!
Have a nice weekend everyone.

Going to the cottage for the first time of the season.
Getting away from the city and it's crazy reality.
When we go to the cottage we forget everything we left behind in the city.
No phones.
No TV.
No Drama.
Just relaxation...
And Oreo likes it too.

Yay! Finally I might acctually get to enjoy this weekend.
I haven't enjoy a weekend in a long time.
Painting, moving, more painting, preparing for the house inspection...
This, well deserved one, is for ME.
And I'm looking forward to it.

And I'm looking forward to it.
Lately my life has been crazy buzy and drama filled and it seemed that it just wasn't going to stop. But now things seem to all be falling in to place...I hope it stays that way for a while. We're finally done with the old house. Inspection went well, I think, lol. I'm glad to be out of there...
I've also found myself realising that some people around me have not been treating me the way I should be treated. And I finally, after 25 years of exsistance and spending the majority of those years with my mouth shut, I've decided to put my foot down and put a stop to this recuring behaviour. I will no longer be walked all over and used. It's quite the load off my shoulders.
There's still a couple things I have to deal with but I have to do things one at time...In time everything will be in it's place.
Life is good.
