Today I am wearing: a long scarlet linen skirt, a bright orange v-necked t-shirt, white fake Birkenstocks with orange flowers, fake ivory necklace and bangles, silver and garnet ring. My fingernails and toenails are painted bright orange.
How about you?
How about you?
It's very hot and humid. No sunshine. My eyeshadow has melted from my eyelids in a non-pleasing fashion. Damn you, Juuuuuuuly!
( And then I inadvertently looked at a LoLcat while drinking tea. Alas, poor monitor )

Some Nagi-centric Schwarz!kinder drabbles, from Akira's babyhood to four years old. In which he displays an unfortunate vocabulary around children.

God, porridge. *fails ethnicity roll*
ETA: this post on Jammie Dodgers filled me first with nostalgia, then creeping, porridge-like dread. Why update such wondrous treasures of the past?
Also, Creme Eggs have got smaller. *brandishes zimmer frame*

bookslut Global Warming, Female Utopias and Gender Roles - Interview with Sarah Hall I liked The Carhullan Army (aka, Daughters of the North), even if the publishers and the author pretend it's not genre fiction. Perhaps Ms McArdle could use it to explaaaaain.

I've been playing around with Wordle. It's awfully addictive and pretty. Here is what it does to Mr Fenn's text of Bracy and Gedge's climactic moment on the mountain:

Roadworks on one of the major roads going through the city centre during the morning rush hour? EPIC FAIL.
Deciding to drink a really giant cup of coffee, feeling your pulse speed up after the first few gulps and thinking, Ehhh, I'll drink the rest anyway. How jittery can I get? Possibly also epic fail, but at least it'll be fast moving as well as epic. *drinks more coffee*
So, Doctor Who. All other narrative and political questions aside, ( in next week's episode . . . )
Hmm. An impressive number of typos there to be edited away. I guess How jittery can I get? will eventually have an answer. *drinks more of giant coffee*
