I'm back, and Congratulations, Adis! [18 Mar 2008|11:18am] lady2beetle I was reading CYS many years ago, but life got in the way and I kept forgetting to catch up. The other day, I was playing a video game (WoW) with a friend whose character can turn people into sheep and piglets. When I told her to name the piglet Wilbur, she asked what she should name the sheep. I thought about it and then remembered SHIP! After naming her sheep Ship, I proceeded to direct her to www.countyoursheep.com (she has a 4-year old son) and then I spent the past 3 days catching up on 3 years of comics. So, I'm back! One of the things I find so cool is how you can see the progression of Adis' art, life and the world in general over the years. And some of the comics are so cool that I have to print them out and put them up in my room or at my office. So, anyway, I look forward to seeing the future of CYS. :) 2 Fell asleep ♥ Count Sheep

Report from...me! [01 Nov 2007|12:30am] adis_sheep [ music | Rilo Kiley -- Smoke Detector ] Hello everyone, it's me, your fearless author, absent for too long. You know I'm alive because the strip's still appearing obviously. I'm really busy these days, and I still manage to make the strip every single day, and it's quite surprising. Let's see, what else? The wedding is going great, Liliana is a great girl who is willing to put up with a big child/dreamer like myself, with not a lot to his name. (Which is a relief!) I want things to go right, and that's one of the reasons I'm busy, I'm being responsible and adult, quite a big change for me :) Also, there won't be t-shirts, merch or anything similar for the time being, I'm without a distributor and it's not economically feasible for me to tackle something like that right now. But who knows, maybe someday. In the meantime, rain, sleet or snow, you'll see the strip right where it's always been. For a while there, I saw it a bit as a means to an end: riches, fame, and stardom (but mostly riches.) And that's no way to try and create art, the comic is what it is; a labor of my love for the medium, followed by many who love it, and something that might not lead to an empire, or even a full-time job, just a solid body of work I can be proud of. Addicted to bad buble placement [04 Oct 2007|05:01pm] adis_sheep It's the third (THIRD!) time this week that I've had to go back and correct the day's strip because a bubble is pointing in the wrong direction. When that happens once, I'm usually super careful the next time, except this time it happened again the following day, then, I was extra careful the next day and got it right, and then, I was still careful for the following strip, and despite my efforts, I did it again. It's odd because I check them a few times, and for the life of me, I just don't see it. In my head, it looks the way it's supposed to. It's not until the morning when someone emails me, that I realize I'm an idiot who can't get his bubbles to point in the right direction. I want to apologize because I make a point of presenting the best product as possible, and I've been unsuccessful this week. (In my opinion, a wrongly placed bubble shatters the illusion of the narrative.) So, I'm sorry, I will not let it happen again, at least not as many times in one week. -adis! 2 Fell asleep ♥ Count Sheep

As you read the whole t-shirt pre-sale didn't go as planned for Adis!. It's kind of sad since we thought it would be a total hit! Anyway, I am here to ask every single one of you for a little help for us. As you know, we have a wedding coming up, I am starting a new business and, as every business, it is a bit slow right now and Adis!, well he is doing what he loves and what he is best at. Still, we need money, you know for a new house, rent, groceries, basic needs! Im not here to ask for money,  that would be just disrespectful, I just thought that maybe, just maybe if each one of  you could bring at least one person to the site then things could go a bit better for us; especially for Adrian, who spends every last breath, cent, and bit of energy he has on making his dream come true. I know you all love the comic and the artist, I do too!, I know what the comic does for so many of you and I know that many of you have been around for years now. So, please, PLEASE, just let Adrian know that his fans are as devoted as we both know! I dont want to sound desperate, but I can't stand to see him worried about us and the comic. Maybe this is karma? For instance, I've always felt this way when I'm driving. Either braking / swerving just in time when a deer jumps out into the road, or when I've fishtailed on icy roads and avoided a bad accident, an immediate afterthought besides, "Whew, that was close," is, "Man, I wish I could've used that luck for something else. Asterisk [10 Aug 2007|04:27am] almalinda i can't say any of these are right, and i'm sorry if they aren't, but it's certainly how i interpreted it, and was amused by it. the two nicknames aren't the same.. one is katie the homerun queen, while the other has the add-on of the astrisk, bearing the message "in her own mind, against imaginary pitchers, while high on chocolate milk". In other words, Katie the homerun queen (Not really). Not to mention, the words "High on Chocolate milk" kinda make it hilarious. Maybe she's just imagining that she's hitting all those home runs? the problem is, i've been known all my life to over-analyze things, and TOTALLY overlook the most obvious things.
