    Oh God...
I'm scared in the best possible way.
    More nervous really.
I think I may be going back to the most awesome place on the planet tomorrow to meet my idols.
I'm going to meet my idols tomorrow! That's not a sentence any human should get to say. There may actually too much awesomeness in that idea for my mind to comprehend.
I think I need to go lie down. Oh wait I'm already in bed. Okay I need to go to sleep.
    Squee.

    Brian Stack and Dan Goor
Written for my loves on the NBC boards. I carrot you all so much you have no idea.

Just so you are all aware my brain is still in a slightly mush like form so I may have left out some parts and for that I apologise deeply. I will do my best to recall every detail, but I'm still shaking and giggling so you'll have to forgive me. The details of the conversation are roughly right, though not exact quotes. I was talking to Brian Stack and Dan Goor; you honestly think my brain was functioning?

Before leaving the house I left a comment on AST, where I have talked to Brian Stack before, telling him I was coming. I wasn’t entirely sure if he'd get it but I figured, sure why not.
I arrived at the theater inordinately early and so wandered through the East Village, stopping off to grab a bite to eat. I finally wasted enough time to allow me go back to the theater without feeling like a complete tool. It wasn’t opening until just before show time and so I sat around downstairs having a drink alone.
Finally other people started heading up and so I followed. I got talking to a woman beside me who was very nice and when we entered the place she invited me to sit with them as I was on my own. I sat on the stage side and participated in their conversation a little. Suddenly I looked at the door and my stomach did gymnastics that would put most Russians to shame. There he was! There was Brian Stack.
    He was real!
He walked up toward the stage and was greeted by the guys who were rehearsing. The stood about 3 or 4 feet away from me talking. I was shaking so bad and such a luminous shade of pink that I just stared down at my phone texting the only two people in my phone book who would understand, who just happen to be pretty much the only two people in my phone book at all.
After a few minutes he made his way backstage and the place began to fill up. I ended up budging up to make room for other people and somehow found myself directly by the stage. I got my camera out, checking I had new batteries and everything.
The show started soon after and was hilarious. Stack was the last one on and while everyone else read stories from their lives or gave conventional wisdom, he came onstage in character as Earl Pettybone Jr, (he's not named after his father, Jr is the family name. He did name his son Earl Pettybone Jr Jr. That's probably the reason they don’t speak anymore) a convicted murderer on death row. I know I may be biased, but I honestly thought it was the highlight of the evening. He was hilarious and clever and everything I imagined, only better.
Before I even had time to register it all, the show was over. As I was struggling to get out from where I was pinned between the stage, tables and a group of complete strangers (I managed to clamber onto the stage rather gracefully) I looked across the room and saw what I thought was a familiar face. I wasn’t entirely sure so I decided I had made enough of a prat out myself so I would refrain from saying anything.
I walked towards the door that would lead downstairs checking to see if Brian was leaving. I figured the performers were probably backstage and would remain so for some time so I walked downstairs and out onto the street. I stood there for a minute wondering what to do. I wanted to meet Brian so badly but I had no clue when he was coming out.
I was pondering this when I looked up and saw that familiar silhouette in the doorway. My heart dropped however when I saw he was already engaged in conversation with someone else. She began to introduce him to a couple of people and he greeted the guy I had seen across the room. I looked down at my phone, mostly for something to do and so I didn’t look so odd. He was so close, I couldn’t leave. The girls on the boards would kill me! But I couldn’t interrupt his conversation that would be incredibly rude.
As this conundrum rattled around my mind I looked up and saw him glance at me and then he said the most wonderful words I have heard since I arrived in this city "Sorry, are you Carol?"
Hiya, yeah. I replied in a complete state of shock.
He explained that he'd gotten my post saying I was going to be there and thanked me profusely for coming and for the Bailey's I had given him the year before.
He introduced me to that man I was sure I knew; this is Dan Goor, I shook his hand and almost felt like squealing "I knew I knew you!" but I just managed to get out a "Really nice to meet you". He explained "this is the girl Irish that gave me the Bailey's last year. We were having a discussion about it online and she brought some over for me"
"Oh yeah, I remember that, I remember he drank a lot of that! He shared it around too, at the Christmas party."
    "I Sweeney's office, remember."
It was about here that I thought I was going to die. These people I idolise were having this really normal conversation involving names I adore and I was part of it!! Not only did they know who these people were. They knew these people! This was so surreal and yet it was actually happening!
Brian then turned to me "So do you get the show on cable?"
"Um not really, I download it I can’t afford to pay for cable"
Dan Goor looked surprised "Oh so you’re not actually from here? You're not just Irish through decent?"
"Nope I'm actual full blooded Irish"
"Oh wow so how long are you here for?"
"3 months, completely on my own."
"Really how's that going for you?"
"It's okay. Kind of scary. I've never been alone for so long but my friend Abby is coming down to meet me and another friend I know through a message board, actually a Late Night one, is coming to meet me too and I actually met up with Pierre Bernard the other day too"
Brian had been searching for his wallet and said "Well if you want to come to the show just let me know"
"Seriously? Thank you so, so much"
"Oh no problem at all. I never have those things (he was more mumbling this to himself as he searched through his wallet before finally pulling out an old car park ticket) this will do"
Goor "You don’t need that to get your car out do you?"
"Oh no, this is from the Aquarium" (No I have no idea, but I just loved the way he said it)
Brian then began scribbling on the back of the ticket when Dan (I don’t know what to refer to them as! It's so weird!) turned back to me "So what are you doing here in the city?"
"I'm just working at the moment; I got lucky and got a job and everything"
    Brain asked "Oh really, where?"
"I got a job down in Claire's Accessories down by Brooklyn Bridge"
"Oh my daughter's love that place.’oh can we get the Bratz diary?'"
"Well come in and I'll get you a discount!"
Dan then asked "So do you want to end up here?"
"Yeah, I'd absolutely love to. I love it here"
Brain then handed me the car park ticket which had his name, office number and email on it "There you go, give us a bit of notice and we should be able to get you tickets. Liz the woman who deals with that stuff is really nice and usually we just have to ask. One problem is we have a lot of dark weeks coming up. A lot of reruns. Which is great for us (motioning to himself and Dan who nodded his agreement) but makes it tougher to see the show. Actually it's a bit odd the reruns. The show's they choose to rerun, the content on them."
I added "Yeah there were two nights of the Interrupter."
"Yeah it's a little bit odd putting them on so close together and after the stuff recently"
I of course assured him "Trust me, we're not complaining. We love the Interrupter!"
    "That's very sweet of you"
Goor joked "You can't get enough Interrupter!"
He's not wrong you know. I decided I'd push my luck a little "Listen, is there any chance at all of a photo with you guys?"
    "Of course, yeah, sure!"
Goor added "I'll get my friend there to take it"
I thanked them profusely. Then my crappy flash didn’t go off. I went bright pink, apologised for the crappiness of my camera. They were incredibly nice about it all and the second photo turned out fantastically.
    "Well thanks again for coming"
    "No problem at all"
"And thanks again for the Bailey's. Let me know if you want those tickets."
"Thank you so, so, so much!"
"Oh no problem and we'll see you at the show"
Goor gave me a smile and a "See you at the show"
I shook Brian’s hand once again, thanked him yet again and said goodbye.
I practically danced home. If she saved it and you ever get a chance you should try listen to the babbling voicemail I left on Abby's phone. It was a minute of me just squealing incomprehensibly with the words "Brian Stack" and "Dan Goor" thrown in.
All together it was one of the most amazing moments of my life, second only to becoming a Godmother.
I adore Brian Stack and Dan Goor they are two of the most truly, genuinely sweet, kind and nice people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting in my life. However highly I thought of them before, my estimation of them has gone up infinitely.

Now aren't you sorry you asked!

Anyone Bothered to Read. Its about Stephen and Paul!
Its the most bizarre and amazing story. The short version is:
Tuesday:Got in on standby, other girl in standby tells us where to wait to meet him
Wednesday:We wait to meet him and meet his coffee guy while waiting whos very nice and giving us tips on meeting him. A load of people came out from a play next door then Stephen came out so he couldnt stop cos of the crowd.
Thursday:We go back to the coffee place to try meet Stephen gettign his coffee but miss him so we wait around and the coffee guy is tellign us all about him and that they're having a party next door later. Later Abby goes in (she has id I dont) and I went and waited outside the studios.
She got talking to one of the producers and interns and stuff. I was standing outside the studios beginning to wonder if we'd missed him when a very attractive man with amazing lips walked by. I kinda was just standing there watching him walk past when I thought I recognised him then after a couple of seconds it hit me! That was Paul Dinello!
That was Paul freaking Dinello as in Paul Dinello who we'd wanted to ask Colbert if he knew where we could meet him! Crap where was Abby.
I sent her a frantic text and then being the impatient person I am rang her like half a minute later. She was over immediately and then we stood there waiting for Paul. I figured Stephen had left but atleast we'd meet Paul which was jsut as good as Stephen and completely unexpected and then the door opened and out walked Paul and I started freaking and Abby said wait who's that with him? I looked around and there was Stephen. With Paul! As in the 2 people we had so truely wanted to meet walking in front of us. Together!!!
    I nearly died!
They were so so so so sweet though! I think Paul thought we were just there to see Stephen and was ready to kinda stepback until I pulled out the Strangers with Candy dvd set. The two of them just took it opened it up and started looking through it. Abby told them that the dvd's crack and Stephen said "Cos they're so cheap!" and then Paul added (very sweetly) "If we knew who to call we'd make some angry phone calls for you!"
I just... I cant believe it!!!! WOW!!!!
Excuse me while I pass out again!!!!

    Finally
Ok I figured I should probably write something in here at some stage!
So Im just back from a taping of the Colbert Report!!
It was incredible! Im so very happy! Noone has gotten in on standby in a few weeks and somehow we got in! Its quite incredible!
Oh and I met a girl from here there! She was really nice (if you're reading this "hello")
It was amazing to see it live after seeing all of Stephens work and growing to idolise him. It meant so much more to me this time than I could ever say!
He was hilarious as all ways! He messed up a couple of times and it was so funny I could have cried.
We didnt get to meet him afterwards which was unfortunate but he had to leave immediately cause his kids were with him. But we're heading back down tomorrow to try and meet him so hopefully!
I'll write again if I meet him (obviously!)
We also got a bit of a lead on finding Paul Dinello. We cant be sure yet but if it works out it will be awesome!
So yeah if anyone is actually bothered reading this and want to find out more about me check out either of these: (I actually update them)
