Love gets me everytime!!
PS7 tutorial for this icon
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Alright... second tutorial!! I think this one's easier than the other, I hope I'm right... and remember that if you are having trouble, there's a print screen of the finished layers at the bottom... and if you find that this tutorial sound familiar, it's just because some step are the same as the last on so, I just copy & paste the text... lazy me...

1. So first step, I created a new file. 100x100 pixels, resolution 72 pixels/inch.

2. I took this picture from Quintessence and resized it to 266x150 pixels. And since there was the WB sign on Lauren's tigh, I took the blur tool Image hosted by Photobucket.com on darken Mode and smooth the WB sign so that it's totally gone.
So far:

3. Big secret of mine... because usually people crop the picture... well I think they do... but I don't... I choose Layers/Duplicate Layers and duplicate the picture to my 100x100 file (it will be named background copy).

4. I close my picture and start to work on my 100x100 file. I move my background copy around and find the right place I want it.
So far:

5. I duplicate the background copy and set it the duplicated version on Overlay.(The duplicated version will be called Background Copy 2). I choose my Background Copy 2 and Desaturate it (image/adjustement/desaturate).
So far:

6. I choose this light texture from [info]awmp, I flipped it on vertical and put it on Soft light and I duplicate it and put it on Overlay. Those two textures should be between the background copies of the picture...

7. I create a new layer and fill it with a kind of beige color (#D1C1A3) and set it on multiply. Check the print screen of layers at the bottom to know where to put.

8. I than put this layer of dark blue on exclusion (100%) above Background copy 2. (You can't really see any difference but you can see that Scott's shoulder is more yellow than before...)
So far: Image hosted by Photobucket.com

9. And than I use a black gradient that becomes transparent at one end. I put it above every layer so far.

10. Last part... I wrote love gets me everytime (Font: Copperplate Gothic Light, 2 pts, av 500)

The print screen.
