Annoyed because this sucks and was too hard to write to have ended up this bad. I need to get back into the swing of things. Bleh.

This isn't even necessarily going to be part of the books, but I wanted to write something that focuses on Greg to get a clear idea of how I want him to act toward Kitty.

BLAAAAAAH it's SO BAD. But oh well. At least I bloody wrote something that wasn't for school.
There are lots of hints about the plot in this, too. XD But then, I haven't reworked the plot yet, so who knows if it'll stay this way. >:)

The more I look at my books-in-progress, though, the more I wonder if they'd work better as comics. :x So frustrating.

Narcissus

mood: rushed rushed

I've got to post this tonight. I'm proofreading/editing right now, but I wanted to go ahead and put it up so hopefully someone will have time to give me at least a smidgen of feedback. ^^; This one, I really want to be semi-decent. I didn't care about my last one at all, but this one really claimed every fiber of my being for the past week. Anyway, rambling.

Also, sorry if it's hard to read, but I don't have time to go back and insert the double dashes and italics as they are in Word. :(

Also, I'm feeling really hesitant, because I used a lot of cursing in this one. :x // feels bad
Is it too much? >,<

Uh, notes. I'll say right off I did research the bird stuff, as well as I could given my time frame, and everything should be accurate. Animal services/rescue/control rules as to picking up animals seem to be different everywhere, but the majority of the places I looked into either send you cages if you want to catch and turn in an animal to get it off your property, or they won't come unless the animal is seriously injured. Since I don't specifiy a location, I'm hoping the way I worked it is okay.

If anything strikes you, please throw it my way! :) In the meantime, I've got to go write another essay due at midnight. Grrrr school.

No clue

I keep hoping these little snippets will spark some larger idea that I can work into a story later this month. Because, yes, I'm the crazy girl who chose one of the earliest slots in my fiction workshop. Yaaaaaaaaay.

I just felt like writing

This probably doesn't make sense. Or if it does, it probably doesn't sound like what it's about. But that hardly matters. )

Nonfiction class

Aside from that last half-started experiment, this is the only time I've attempted a personal essay instead of a memoir. I still have all weekend to work on this or come up with something else. I'm afraid it gets too cliche toward the end. I'm afraid the lack of setting, dialogue, character, and description will make it too blah to read. And that's all I have to say.

As always, feedback much appreciated! :D

Proof...

that I am not a poet. Some of the things I've done for my workshop class so far.

Dramatic monologue: An Expectant Princess... )

~*~

Dinner )

~*~

Experimental: Titled Me )

...

(And in case anybody didn't pick up on the experiment there, it's a poem written entirely out of song titles.)

~*~

I can't put up my others so far because of strange shape/stanza breaks that can't be mimicked without using tables, alas. ^^; I might make an artwork out of the ONLY poem I've liked that I wrote this semester. We'll see. That's all. Just needed to prove myself. :) MWAH!

Updated version of this draft. The first half is more or less identical short of a few sentences and paragraphs of tweaking. The last half is somewhat different. By no means the FINAL draft, but the draft I ultimately turned in for workshop.

Threshold )

That title was so last minute, too. Bah. I don't know quite how well it fits. Anyways.

"17, 18, 19, routine"

Oct. 4th, 2005 | 10:38 pm

So I just took this 'what kind of procrastinator' are you quiz, and it told me I'm not a procrastinator and that I start all my assignments the day they're handed out and that I have days of free time before my assignments are due and nothing to do because all my friends, who did procrastinate, are busy working on them.

...

Yeah. That's SO me. Yep.

In other news, Sort of poem thingie )

Something else I whimsied up while I was working on experimental poems for workshop. I dunno how well it comes across. Again, so. not. a poet.
