NDK was great! I basically spent all my time running around in costume just enjoying my friends and seeing people. I didn't have any panels this year, so it was just a lot of fun and playing around!

Although I did get to 'play' in the Rock Band contest... I HAVE A FEVER, AND THE PRESCRIPTION IS MORE COWBELL!

I'm all but completely decided that I want to go to Katsucon in February, so I'm hoping to get that settled in and decide what I want to wear. I know I want to do some more Ouran costumes, so that's coming up, and hopefully the Sailormoon costumes I didn't get to do this year. I'm really excited to make plans for the upcoming season!

Wow, just barely back fron Dragon*Con and here's NDK already! I haven't prepared a lot of new stuff, but here's a very non-concrete idea of what's going on.

I made this necklace for sapphic_lens for her to wear with the 'Other Boleyn Girl' costumes we're working on for Dragon*Con. ^^

This one is made of handcut 18 gauge brass, very sturdy, buffed to a bright shine, and strung with some gorgeous freshwater pearls.

Since there was a swift and strong interest in them, I'll be happy to take orders. They can be produced in your choice of brass or nickel silver, or sterling silver. You'll also have a choice of glass pearls or freshwater pearls.

Type 1: Brass/nickel silver with glass pearls - $40
Type 2: Brass/nickel silver with freshwater pearls - $80
Type 3: Sterling silver with freshwater pearls - $150

I can do any letter you like! I'll add an ordering page to the website soon, but in the meantime if you're interested, please send me an email at jewelry (at) charmedseed (dot) net with the type you'd like, and in what metal color. Each necklace will have an adjustable extender chain. The processing time will be approximately 6-8 weeks.

The letters are HANDMADE, cut from a sheet of metal, made one by one with a lot of care. I am not ordering these pieces in bulk; they cannot be ordered. I don't create it until you ask for it, and the prices reflect that. ^^ This is a completely one of a kind piece of art jewelry.

I got in at the last minute to an arts and fashion fest at the Oriental Theatre! =D It begins at 4pm and goes just about as late as we can hold the party up! There will be free live music, a full service bar, and the restaurant will be open for the duration of the show.

It's been a whirlwind couple of weeks, so busy! I'm on the final stretch to Dragon*Con now, and I'm SO excited!

Last weekend I was honored to judge at the 66th World Science Fiction Convention, Denvention 3, here in my hometown! What an experience it was! The environment and dynamic was very different from my usual anime con, although Japanese popular culture is growing as an influence in the mainstream of scifi and fantasy. WorldCon is always filled with business and industry moguls, and the very pillars of the scifi and fantasy communities, and this was no exception! It was a wonderful experience and a con worth attending at least once!

I have stolen all these pics from other people because I didn't take any. XD

Dragon*Con will be here in just FIFTEEN DAYS. I have so much work to do! I'm excited to be debuting my Mary Boleyn dress with Inara as Anne, and my Dewshine costume with the rest of the ElfQuest people! I'm also completing a Juliet costume from the manga Cloth Road, and will be bringing my Steampunk costume. And I'll be attending the Mighty Fine Shindig, of course!
