The advertising campaign for Carlton Draught over the last year or so has been pretty funny. Those of you not cursed with Australian television might enjoy these:

The Big Ad is making me giggle. Still.

Although I have to say the slogan "made from beer" concerns me the same way the phrase "cheese product" does; i.e. why isn't it just "cheese" or "beer"?

Or, it would concern me if I liked beer half as much as I like cheese.

"Cheese product" would make me suspect that there is some reason the product could not legally be called "cheese".

It was. But it's okay, I have mornings like that (believe it or not).

There is in fact a legal distinction between cheese, cheese food, and cheese product in this country. It's more than a little strange.
