I have news!

Big news!

I got it!

Got what you ask? Remember that trainer position at Stellar I was dying to get and didn't, instead I was the second choice...well the first choice decided not to stay in the role, so its mine all mine!!!!!!!!! woot!!!

I am going to sit through a training program so I can get a feel for it and then I'm off, in a couple of weeks I'll be training people! How great is that! I'll be off the phones, doing some productive and useful and experience building!!!!!

And of course, this means more hours, which means more money, which means less struggling/more saving/more paying off loan.

YIPPEE!!!!!

So today I had a tad of a shopping spree, bought black ink for printer on special at the post office, then bought two shirts and a pair of business pants at millers (shirts that fit my boobs right!!!).

oooh this post is so mostly exclamation marks *grin*

Its still sinking in, tomorrow I'll get more info from HR about the position. This will means my hours will change alot, some weeks will be a standard 8 hour day, others 6 hours days during whatever shift time the new people are working (morning, mid, evening) which will take a bit of getting used too, but at least it isn't every week like that and the fact that its not on the phones makes it great!

Was great to see you looking good today keftiu, thanks for the frangipani's...they're beautiful!

Spend time in the library researching my favourite medieval game today, tafl, a viking game. Got some great pictures of early sets found in scandanavia...very funky stuff, peices carved from walrus horn or amber (so pretty in amber!). Now I just have to write it up as documentation for the sets I've made :)

This weekend I'm off at Stowe Faire, an event in western Sydney, a full weekend (though I wont be there for all of it) but it should be awesome, be good to see people, get into the mood for festival (7 weeks 'til Easter!).

"Crafty. a. cunning, artful"

Okay so the closest book to me was my concise oxford dictionary :)

The line from the second closest book would be this...

"As well as Navigators to chart a course through the Warp, starships require Astropaths to maintain contact with other ships and planets in real space."

From the 4th edition Warhammer 40k rulebook. ;)

Christmas is over. It was an ordeal, which isn't really a bad thing, but it still was. Friday started out hopeful. I thought I might be pregnant, I was officially late, was being good and holding off testing 'til Christmas morning. Didn't make it that far. Just before our guests arrived for Christmas Eve dinner (and just as I got home from church in the rain) the red daemons invited themselves too. grrrrr grrrrr grrrrr! This dampened my spirits and I'm sorry if I wasn't the best company, thank you to moonborn, cyberdjinn and keftiu for coming! It was good to see you all and thank you for introducing me to the 'nightmare before christmas' - that was very very cool! The book is great too and will keep me interested for a while (its on women in the medieval times, early period for those of you who know).

I couldn't sleep much, too upset with dissapointment and too much pain. grrrr. Woke up early to have shower, clean up a bit and then embark on closer to five hour drive (with little breaks) to inlaws new property. Man is was beautiful! Just outside of a place called Cobargo (near Bega on the NSW south coast) that have their land, rolling green hills with their cattle and goats. I was very impressed. Even more impressed by their house renovation plans. Disturbed by the fact that average house price in Sydney is more than what they paid for the property (but not anymore, its value has gone up).

Had a good time seeing people, sharing the wedding album, slept not terrible, but okay. Stayed 'til just before lunch today and then embarked on the drive back. We intended on taking it slower as by the time we got there on Christmas day I could hardly walk.

Was very impressed by the town of Mogo on our way back (just over 3 hours south of Wollongong). There was a place that was a bellydancers dream! Coin necklaces and anklets, swords, canes (I have one now - $7.50!!!, scarves, beaded jewelry, even some great clothes. Add to that a second hand bookshop, an icecream and fudge palour and we could have stayed hours, but we wanted to get home in good light.

Got home, logged on, watched tv, logged back on, now playing around 'til I sleep. I have tomorrow off, but Adam is back to work.

*sigh*

I've just changed this entry, I was too pathetic even for my lj. I just need something to believe in, to hope in, I need to be able to dream about my future. I cannot see it anymore, I just see darkness.

The only thing I want to post about and can't get out of my head is hope...hoping that I'm not crap or useless or unreliable...hoping that this month worked and I'm pregnant...(thanks [info]moonborn for use of this icon! Its sim Clare and daughter Juliet! hehehe

Well.

I'm pretty much ready to go away for the weekend, except I'm so tired, but I don't intend doing any archery...just socialising :) and resting. Cooked extra tonight so Adam doesn't have to worry about dinner tomorrow night (he has to work on Saturday so he's coming up after that). I keep remembering little things I haven't packed...like bandaids and not to forget my toothbrush...I will forget something...its kinda a camping rule I think ;)

So I wont be online 'til Monday night, maybe Tuesday. Thats okay, I can survive unplugged for a couple of days...sorta...hehehe

Finished remaking a coin belt I had for dancing, helped [info]mousie_critter pattern some sleeves for her new dress, did a little shopping and watching the princess diaries (cool! I like it!). Work was ordinary and boring. Had a meeting for my tafe thing, they were happy with my first module, so onto the second for me.

Take care all!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY [info]moonborn!!! Love you honey!!!

Well today was almost a waste of a day. Washed the towels, that was my most productive bit. I did about 10 minutes of tidying and cooked dinner (ahhh risotto), but otherwise I slept and rested and played Diablo II.

Stupid damn cramps making everything impossibly painful...ohhh I need to scratch my leg...bend over...oooh that hurts...grrrrrrr!!!

Well the cycle starts again and hopefully this month will be good to us...

Tomorrow [info]mousie_critter is coming over to do some sewing, it will be nice to have some company, and we'll be going camping next weekend so it'll be nice to have some new garb to wear!

I bought Hudson Hawk on DVD...hehehe

Another day, another appointment...physiotherapist was happy with me, and I don't have to go back until I do something else to myself! ho hum...must try and be good...he thought I was tense today so he called in the massage girl...hmmm...15 minutes later I was almost asleep and he could push and prod at my neck without me tensing up too much ;) very nice stuff!

Bought new cushions today! Two pale blue and two royal blue from Homeart, $5 each! Pretty good...they're going to refurbish and so are having funky sale...hey [info]mousie_critter, fireplace mesh thingys are on half price, $20 (I think).

Work was good, got praised by old manager for my scores, will fill in form to ask to be moved to larger shifts tomorrow. Didn't get any overtime this week, grrrrrr...wanted some to make up for sick days last week...blah!

Lots more bills as our MBF fortnightly payments have started...sigh...but they did save me half the cost of each physio visit, so it is worth it (for me at least).

Getting used to having shorter hair, remembering why I like having hair this length...so easy to maintain!!!

Well, I feel trashed without having touched alcohol since the honeymoon, nor have I had any caffeine this week, I've eaten pretty healthy, done exercise and stretching, my neck is alot better today (though I will still see the physio tomorrow, follow ups are important to stop neck sticking again) and the house is clean.

The medieval meeting today was great, 8 people turned up, all who were interested in giving real opinions and working towards achievable goals. Very very good. Yesterdays material shopping went well, we picked up some great shades of yellow and red to make new shire stuff with and everyone at the meeting today was happy with it, so off we go! More sewing ;) though this time, not all done by Adam and myself!

Now I'm in pain...great...these are vaguely ovulation pains...they last longer than ovulation though...blah! icky bad. More sleep for me.

Adam's armouring day seemed to go quite well (yesterday) and since I was still in pain from my neck I missed work, but I did go and see a manipulative physiotherapist in Corrimal...I'll have to see him again Monday, but I am alot better today!

Today I've done a bit of cleaning, will meet a friend soon to shop for material for the new shire's colours, and then off to [info]mousie_critters housewarming tonight :) Lots of time with friends is good!

Tomorrow is the meeting for the new shire, which will be here, hence my small cleaning spree ;)

oh well, must have a shower and get ready to go out...trying not to think of whether I conceived or not this month ;) not working...

Well I think I'm doing too much again...hmmm...mostly because I'm not used to long days...blah...today was long again with bellydancing and training...sigh.

I've been meaning to post and now my brain is so tired I can't think why.

Yesterday I had my hair cut...its shoulder length and layered now...very good.

My times are down again at work and I'm applying to be given more hours.

Our medieval group is going to start making clothing in our colours for our first feast. Got a meeting for the new group here on Sunday.

Finished reading Dune, liked it, borrowed follow up books from [info]cyberdjinn, hope they're good.

Sponged wedding dress clean...wasn't too hard...just heavy and huge!

Cleaned a bit more and am planning my attack on the garden of doom ;)

Spent time with the lovely [info]moonborn and watched the final episode of Regency House Party...funky stuff.

Dieting doesn't seem to be working, though I am feeling a little healthier...but that could just be the fact that all the wedding work/stress is over now.

Thats all for today I think...
