Just a thought...
it is SCARY just how much my anger sometimes knows no bounds.
I really need to find a way to channel this into something:
1) Productive in at least a money-making sense.
2) And just for kicks, interesting in that "oooh no bounds scary" kinda way.
I have a few options to choose from, I think:
1) Murder someone with money, steal money, not get caught, be happy.
2) Murder someone who knows someone with money after they've told me how to get that someone's money, not get caught, be happy.
3) I think that's the only two options I have actually.

The last two performances of "The Girl in the Iron Mask" for the Capital Fringe Festival are this weekend. Hope some of you can make it out!
It's been a somewhat frustrating experience getting the thing up and on its feet, but I'm overall glad I did it and it's definitely peaked my interest in pursuing some extended training in stage combat. I'm hoping this fall I'll get to do just that.
We've received some good and some mixed reviews, and I think for the first time ever I've been called "regal". Of course, in the same sentence I was also called "menacing" :)

TRENCHES update, from Director Shane Felux, posted July 11th... picture is locked and FX is completed!:

What's that smell? Is something burning?
That is the smell of the creative juices burning from a film maker's tallow candle burning from both ends, on both sides, around the middle, and up the back!
I have been very busy as of late and the good news is that I have now completed all the final FX for Trenches! Rejoice!!
Yes the picture is now locked to edit and visuals FX completed for the entire series! A huge thank you has to go out to my buddy Zafe, who came in and helped me get it done towards the 11th hour. I wouldn't have made it without ya Zafe!

Other recent life news, in I don't have a lot of free time bullet form:
- I did something that might be considered incredibly stupid and is definitely life altering last week, and I'm thrilled about it, so there.
- Saw the tribute to Leonard Slatkin with Yo-Yo Ma at the Kennedy Center. Wow and wow.
- Had my job sort of threatened, but that's all good now, and I still have one.
- Went to the Women's Studies cast and crew premiere party, had a stupendous time, and it was nice to finally see an independent flick I've worked on completed. Click here to see the pics that
american_arcane took.
- And last but not least, Sideshow Bob captured my elusive Mortal Kombat impression on camera at Freaks United last week:

I used to sneak into my brother's room at night as much as possible to listen to two albums, all told. One was Bill Cosby's genius Wonderfulness. Two, was this album, Occupation: Foole, and it was from this one I learned how to properly cuss at a very young age.
I got to see him live once in Baltimore several years ago, and while I couldn't tell you a single joke or part of the routine from that night, I can remember that the entire time I was literally bawling from laughing so hard.
Wanting to bawl now, too.
Goodnight mister.

Thank you Al, the man I randomly rear-ended this morning on the GW parkway in a backup from hell, for 1) not freaking out since your car was just dandy, and 2) popping out the nice sized dent in the front of my car for me.
The world needs more Al's.

Started rehearsal this week for The Girl in the Iron Mask for this years Capital Fringe Festival. It's an all female cast (including
spinningwoman, who's playing the twins), and was originally produced by Babes with Blades in Chicago.
"In this variation on Dumas's tale, masked prisoner Louise Marchiali
is the Bastille's most dangerous secret -- the twin sister of Louis XIV.
Liberated by the "Queen's Guard", a secret society led by swordslinging nun,
Louise decides to walk in her brother's shoes, and make history."
I'm playing Cardinal Richelieu and Montpensier, a would-be baby killer and an Amazon warrior-esque Duchess. I know, it'll be a stretch for me ;p
Just started the sword fighting rehearsals last night with the wonderful Cliff Williams, and oh man, does my body already hurt in strange places. Here's hoping my body makes it through and I don't manage to poke anyone's major organs or eyes out.
My favorite line I get to utter is: "I cannot leave the world I have made to a capricious, impressionable mind-reading Delilah." Heh.

Thanks to everybody who came out last night to see our 48 Hour Film Project screening! It was great to see others come out besides cast and crew, like
king_nerd,
american_arcane, Women's Studies Director Lonnie Martin, and
anizee &
lilscotchgirl. As usual, our posse took up most of an entire row at the AFI :)
Our film was one of the three best ones out of 13 up there for our screening group, and it is by far the prettiest film we've ever made. I was thrilled to see it on the big screen. It will be coming to the little screen on Monday if I can manage it (and manage to come up with a website design by then too, of course).
After was a complete blast at the Piratz Tavern, complete with bellydancing, great food, and a grand total of three flaming cannonball shots for me. My head hates me right now. My body pretty much hates me too.

Also, my friend Jon has two tickets to The Cure show tonight at the Patriot Center and can't go. Any takers? SOLD!

The gang at g14 Productions have just released Episode One - Season Zero of their new on-going sci-fi web series, RESERVATION. I'm slated to play a decent-sized role, Director Evans, in the series in Season One, shooting now through this summer.
Series Synopsis:
A Community of young people with extraordinary abilities live in hiding, trying to lead normal lives.
A black-ops government Agency is searching endlessly for them, hoping to utilize their gifts for the good of the nation.
As the Agency draws ever closer, this Community must come together in order to preserve their way of life- no matter what the cost.
Told from the perspective of both the Community and the Agency, g14 productions presents "Reservation", a new dramatic science fiction web series that explores how far people will go to protect their families and their country.
