It's me.

Fiesty

I'm Renee, a southeastern Louisianian. I like music (Gwen / No Doubt, BTE, Marc Broussard, etc., etc., etc.). I am a college graduate working in graphic design and journalism. I'm pretty opinionated about rights issues, but bewildered by politics in general. I also love animals and am getting into animal rescue. I make mean marinated chicken. I have a boyfriend... the Tylerman. That's about it!

I have started my own graphic design and stationery business online. The formal Web site is ShopMelismatic.com. Check it out...

I'm still doing a ton of research and trying to figure how to make this go beyond the confines of the Internet. So until then I'll be posting all my new ideas on Etsy.

This is the funniest thing I've seen in a while! You have to have a pretty chilled out dog to make it work though. But this dog is workin' it...

Obama and business taxes

The big thing I keep hearing is that Barack Obama would lower business taxes on all businesses making $250,000 or less.

Question: Does that mean $250,000 in profits or just $250,000 made in total? I can't find that in any of his Web site literature.

Why I hate debates...

So... what did the general commander today say about Afghanistan? What were his exact words? Anybody?

I would love to know... Biden says he said the 'surge wouldn't work' in Afghanistan. Palin qualifies it by saying he said the principles behind a surge would work as long as they are tailored to the unique situation and geography in that country.

Can't find it on Google, can't find it anywhere.

Why am I still watching this?

The Republican presidential ticket... 2012.

OK, I'm joking... I would injure myself if I ever got that far into politics. My current job is already way too close to getting political. Meeting the governor was nice though. And my parents just happened to be visiting me at the office that day so they got to meet him too.

My bridal shower is this afternoon.

I never want to go through a real hurricane in my current job... Just the thought of camping out in a basement underneath the courthouse with generator power makes me cringe.

But hey, if you need sandbags... we got 'em!
