BOOLE ALBUM 4 - THE VITAL FEW - SNIPPETS

    THE VITAL FEW.

Boole has not released an album since 2002, but this year, we will. The new album is going to be called THE VITAL FEW and we are looking at a release in early fall. We are still working on material, and are considering looking around for a label to release it on, because we really suck at promo. The styles are varied, as usual, we're not really a niche band with a "sound," and never have been.

If you want to hear some snippets of the new material, go HERE.

Since 2002, we've done a few remixes, and released on a few compilations and remix CDs:

    Stromkern - Stand Up
    Ayria - Debris
    Epsilon Minus - Mark II
    Infekktion - Toxical Colours
A Different Drum Records - State of Synthpop 2005 Compilation
WTII Records - Resurrection II Compilation
Angelfall Studios - Emotional Overdrive Compilation
-Also a Dancing Ferret Convergence 10 Sampler
-And we were supposed to be on a Cryonica Tanz CD, but that got axed due to profanity.

Boole audio section has been updated with album montages. [myspace]
Given that myspace only allows 4 songs and that we all naturally have short attention spans, we have optimized this audio space by uploading 3 new montages. The first is a montage of boole remixes, the second of the tracks on the album Pheromones (2002), and the third is the boole LP (2000).

Tracklists are found under the lyrics section.
Remember to buy more CDs, so we can get some PS3 games.

Kind of amusing thing I just dug up
This is for you audio nerds.

Back in 2002 or so I got bored and did a bunch of file analyses on a whole mess of popular gothic, industrial, and trance tracks. What resulted was the following URL, with more mastering info than you could ever want about all your favorite spookpop music:

[info]mathaeis has recently incorporated Noonerschaft's cover of Straight Outta Compton into a hilarious video which sorta defies explanation, yet which somehow manages to portray infomercials as they truly are...quite stupid and pointless. A better description of the video and background are on the site.

This morning a longtime online friend of mine, aged 31, lost a 4 year bout with cancer. His name was Tammo Trüper. He was a German, born in Bremen, a multitalented person, a physicist, and a self-reliant project studio musician. He was an extremely helpful, positive, and robust individual, even while battling intense physical pain and invasive medical treatments.

The point of this post is not to create a heavy mood or to elicit sympathy from people who do not know him and who thus have no context within which to give it, but to inform you that one of his final wishes as a genuine aspiring seer of reality was that more people would be able to hear his music. In a case like this, summarizing talent or genre is not relevant IMO, you may or may not like the sort of music he has done, but if you have the time and feel like checking out the life's work of one of the good people who made this place better rather than worse, then feel free to follow the link below to his music:

Personally I kinda like the music he has done, especially considering the fact that he was also a talented physicist.

    Dogs Hate Monet

My side-project with Inox aka [info]zorachus is called

    Dogs Hate Monet,<---clicky von clicky

It features Inox on vocals and really got its birth during the earlier boole days when Inox would lyricize and sing songs like Complicated and Libertine (he also wrote the lyrics for the new boole songs Thelema and Coup d etat, which are currently featured on the boole myspace.

Featured at the Dogs Hate Monet myspace is our balls ass cover of Transmission by Joy Division. I had all but swore off covers but we decided to do this one because Joy Division is Inox's all time favorite band, and I like them a lot as well. We have a few other songs, and an album may be in the works.

    NEW MUSIC

The boole myspace has been updated with three "new" old (unreleased) boole songs.

This is exclusive, as the only other place these songs will appear is on an album if we ever get around to making one :-]
Although one (Outcasts) did appear on a compilation.

    The songs are:

Thelema (2002, Lyrics by Inox.): An ode to Crowley. Oh how spooky, right? Well I think it is one of our best songs ever.
2000 and None (2001): An ode to the sham that is futurism. Was actually written on Christmas 2001.
Outcasts (2003, released on State of Synthpop 2005, Label: A Different Drum.): Probably my favirote lyrics ever. An ode to the scene. ;-)

Odes! Odes! Odes! All three have lyrics attached.
Feel free to add us to your gay little underpants mypace.

    Also add:

    Hilarity
Here is the video of [info]scrotasticfurry aka Chuck bashing the hell out of our Yamaha Keytar at the end of Stromkern's Baltimore gig. The show was a blast. Thanks to Neska, and everyone who came out. We will probably play again sometime this year, once we get done Jelqing and playing PS2 hockey.

The video is in both streaming WMV and DIVX AVI formats. DIVX is better quality, if you have the codec installed.
