Macedonian folk song sung in chorus

I make no claims about my Macedonian-speaking skills.

Easiest. Project. Ever. XDD Or maybe I'm just comparing it to that Melissa project of death.

As usual, all the voices there are mine. We were singing this in our school Advanced Vocal Ensemble and since I had to learn the lyrics anyway I decided to record myself singing all the parts. I didn't spend a lot of time on this since it's not extremely fascinating to sing--just the bare minimum for it to sound passable.

XD I recorded this late at night in my room without any instrument so I just picked a random note and hoped I'd stay on tune. I kind of did, kind of didn't. Also, I seemed to have started on a note exactly between two real notes so it's sung in like C#andahalf major or something.

:P I really just did this on a whim for the heck of it. It's fun to sing the guy's part!

Oh, by the way, chuui--have you recorded your part for Houki Gumo? (I never ended up being able to download that Audition version of that you uploaded, if it was in there.) D:

Do you think you can mix down *just your singing*? If you don't know then I can help. Becuase if you can do that then it's just a happy little easy-to-download MP3 that I can then insert into Audition myself. :D

Oh! Beautiful! I have a soft spot for chorus songs -- in fact, I was just listening to an old choir CD my friend leant me from her old school. :P Great work! I'll definitely be saving this.

Thanks. ♥ Yeah, I like them too--I sang in a chorus for a while and I've come to love the sound of several voices singing together. ^^

I know what you mean! I get chills sometimes when I sing with everyone in chorus -- but that's just because I'm a music dork. :P But that's why I love your stuff, too -- you give everything such a chorus-y feel to it, especially your a capella work. I love it! ^_^

XD I'm a music dork too. I sang in this ACDA Convention with like 300 people all together and the first time I heard it I almost cried. ;_;
Thanks! Haha, yea, stuff just sounds better when there's more voices sometimes. :D If you can keep them all on tune. D: ♥ ^_^

Every year in chorus I go to this thing in Orlando at Disney called Candlelight -- it's this big high school choir thing that they do every Christmas where we all sing these awesome carol arrangements and it's AMAZING. x_x When I first went in freshman year I cried too. XP I can't wait to go back this year. *sigh~*

*__* I really miss being in choir during christmastime. We (not my school choir--this other extracurricular choir)used to do so many tree lightings and concerts and christmas carols and it was so busy and stressful but also SO beautiful.

Now christmas is a one-weekend sort of thing at my church and then we pray and shove a couple gifts at each other and then it's done. :P

DUDE! I don't know if you take requests or suggestions, but just for the hell of it, I would LOVE to see a lovely a capella arrangement by Boisu of "Bohemian Rhapsody." My friend's choir CD that I told you about, they did this huge a capella arrangement of it and I'm listening to it and it sounds awesome and I just think you should try it. XD

...but you could totally ignore me and I'll just crawl back into my hole...

[/end random suggestion]

This arrangement was was 4-part male/female too, which made it even more awesome. :D I can send you the mp3 if you wanna hear it, as long as it's not redistributed or anything, since I'm sure the choir as some shred of copyright laws. (Hell, I shouldn't have even burned the CD onto my comp. XP) Lemme know!

Dunno. D: Probably. They told us it was "Macedonian" and I didn't ask any questions.

Darn the profs or whoever did that!! They are SO wrong to call them Macedonian. They came to Europe in 6th century AD and they try to play it cool. v.v *patriot* It's not your fault of course. And you were terrific in that song btw. ^^
