11:09 pm - we care a lot
work was good, despite not getting done until after 5. totally thought we would be done before then.

deleted some music from the itunes, got it down to 1480 tracks.. and then i added 2 Kiss cds, Monster Magnet, Social Distortion, and Quiet Riot. I found the Metal Health album in the garage, havent listened to it in ages. takes me back to 3rd grade. Damn that album came out about 25 years ago, I am fucking old. I need to get QR's Condition Critical and Sign of the Times. used to have both on cassette back in the 80's. never bothered to buy them on cd.

11:37 pm - your reputations in the bathroom, its on the wall its down the hall
I went to get an oil change today, i ended up getting a brake job too. I knew I needed it done, but just didnt think we had the money. but really, just basically forced to do it. the mechanic said the brakes were grinding against metal, and said it would only get worse from here. and i knew he was right, because they have been squeeking for a few months now. the thing is, I just got a brake job back in May, and I told him this. After all was said and done, he said whoever did them back in May didnt cut them right. he also said whoever did my last oil change didnt put the right size cap on my oil pan or whatever.. which would be the same people who did my brakes. probably will never use the people i used back in may, and may just start using this guy. he worked quickly and had me in and out within 45 minutes.

Then I went to Voorhees and picked the art pieces Amanda and I painted on our anniversary. I also went over to Tunes, next door to the art place, and bought another Social Distortion cd. Bought Somewhere Between HEaven and Hell for $5.99. Then I picked up food from Five Guys for Amanda and I, which I took to her work, after I went to Shop Rite in Marlton, to get some Gold Peak Teas. Ate lunch with Amanda from 3:30ish to about 4:20ish. Then I went to Omaha Steaks in Mt. Laurel, and got some stuff for home. Oh yeah, while in Vorhees I got some Full Throttle for my morning wake up. See some people drink coffee, I drink Full Throttle.

been a productive day.

Tomorrow I go back to work. Blah. I wish I could win the lottery so I can quit working.

alright so I mowed the grass. it only took me less then 45 minutes to do the entire yard. So Amanda should be happy I did 1 of two things she asked me to do, folding laundry being the other thing. I actually forgot about that. and i am probably not doing it tonight.

and i will just flesh out the rest of this post with last.fm charts

I did not know the singer from Motograter was the singer in Five Finger Death Punch. I thought when i heard 5fdp, that the voice sounded similar. But didnt really think anything of it.

today I listened to Mushroomhead, The Music, Eddie Murphy, Moneen, Murderdolls, and the Mourning Widows when I got home from work.

I listened to stuff on my ipod while driving around during work hours. it actually sounds pretty good, having my ipod hooked up to the car stereo.

I uploaded Green Jelly, Primus, Murderdolls, Rainbow, the Kinks, 5fdp, S.O.D., and many others to ipod tonight. I hadnt listened to Green Jelly in years, and found the cd in one of Amanda's booklets that she very rarely goes through.

Tomorrow, I hope to listen to the other Eddie Murphy and Mushroomhead cds I have, in addition to My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, and hopefully start on the Mudvayne catalogue. And then next week I should be able to finish up with the M's with Motley Crue, Motorhead, and Monster Magnet catalogues.

Here is a video of Dirge performing. Dirge is former Soil guitarist, Shaun Glass's band.. he sent me link to video and said it was good, and he is right.

Today was Amanda and I's one year anniversary. hard to believe a year has gone by already.

We went to a pottery place today in Voorhees, and painted like four ceramic pieces together. Before going there, we went to a place called Five Guys, which Amanda said she heard they make great burgers. she was right.

We had reservations for Melting Pot in Philly for 5:45, and we just got home from there. it was good stuff, as usual.

yesterday we went shopping. I got new work shoes, work pants, belt, jeans, and stuff. Got some stuff from Target and BJ's. Went to Chili's for lunch. I also bought a cord from Circuit City, that will play my ipod through my car stereo. i'm anxious to play around with that.

I've listened to a lot of stuff the past two days.. lot of odd ball shit like Mott the Hoople, Monkees, Motograter, Teedra Moses, Mother Love Bone, Eddie Murphy, and Masters of Reality

current music: Primus- Over the Electric Grapevine

have you ever hadd an album that you bought, because you like the band. you've listened to it, and you know it's their better album. but for some reason you just stop listening to it, or them, altogether?
And then one day, many years later you pull it out because you are just bored with everthing you had been listening to up to that point, and you want something different. you put it on, and suddenly you find yourself liking it more then you did before. for some reason, it makes more sense.

Nirvana is that band for me, and the album is Bleach. i pulled it out about a week ago, and it's been one of 2 or 3 albums i find myself listening to, while driving around to work and stuff. i dont know why its resonating so much more today. but it does. i love the music. i love how totally in tune everybody is, guitars, bass, drum, etc. and its pretty heavy for a record made by Nirvana, having come out in 1989. also, i didnt realize they were a four piece then. like what happened to the other guitarist? and i knew that Dave Grohl wasnt the original drummer, the original drummer is pretty damn good. well at least the drummer on Bleach is, he may not be the original, i wouldnt know. it's gotta suck for that other guitarist and drummer to watch the band they used to be in, just explode a few years later, on the next album after the one they played on. kinda like the Beatles with their original drummer, or other bands you hear about changing members just before they hit it big.

I would like to address Richard Wright's death in this post. Pink Floyd are/were an amazing band. it sucks to see members(Wright, Barrett) of this band dying off. Selfishly it kills my chance to see this band tour. It sucks to see members of these bands who laid the ground work for music today, those members dying off. George Harrison, John Entwistle of the Who, and so on. Right down to the death of Dimebag. just extraodinary talented people who laid the foundations for generations to come. i guess at the end of the day, this is life. We are boring, we live our lives, and at some point we cease to exist. And in between life and death, it's what we do in that time that creates our legacy. are we going out with a good legacy for our friends and family to tell stories to future generations? or are we just basically coasting through life, basically leaving nothing really for anyone to care about. I want my name to live on forever.

we got a new tv. our t.v. was officially confirmed dead on Weds or Thurs? and we were bummed. then miraculously we got our home rebate check on Saturday, and it was for $1000. i was supposed to go to work for Dominos that night. i called in and asked if my manage thought he would need me, he said he would be fine. so amanda and i went out that night looking at tvs. she had already been researching them all day while i was at work for coke, so she pretty much knew where to go get one, and which one she wanted. so we went to circuit city and bought a toshiba 32" flat screen for $529. The manager of the store was the first one to come along to help us, and he tried to sell us as much as he could. the dude was the epitome of a tool.. we found the t.v. we wanted on display, but couldnt find the box to buy it. Amanda said to the guy "where is this", and the director said "it's a t.v.", we were both like "no shit sherlock, we are aware of what it is". anyway, he told us we had to buy some sorta cables for it to hook up to our cable box, we confirmed this with her mom, to which she said it was correct. he tried to sell us a few other things, suggested we needed a bigger picture, etc. it's like "we're good buddy".

I got Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Amanda bought some rap cd, in addition to the t.v. with the game, cd, tv, cable, and warranty for t.v. it all came to about $825.

that check came at the right time. we are going out to dinner tonight. we were going to eat first on saturday night, but chilis and applebees were both busy so we just got boston market after tv shopping.

Let me tell you, 2008 has been one of the crappiest years in the 34 years I have lived on this planet. Seriously! Shit just keeps fucking happening. Let's recap it, because I Feel depressed and want to depress myself even more.

Found out I was pre-diabetic on Feb 6
Was laid off by TVT Records on Feb 19th
Out of work for 2 months
Emma(dog) died about 2 weeks after lay off
Found a job(Dominos), didnt pay enough, could get enough hours(shouldve stayed on unemployment longer)
My parents get back together after 30 years of being apart, and I grow up in a single family home. Alright so thats not a totally bad thing, but still fucking weird.
Had various car work done.. well car work is inevitable really.
Desktop computer gets virus, currently out of commision
Apple laptop logic board crashes(oh how I missed TVT IT during that time)
and tonight, the TV dies.

what the fuck? seriously. I hope 2009 is better.

At least I do have two jobs now
a loving wife who has stuck with me through all of this, and supported me.
I have 2 darling cats that I love very much.
I have a little sanity left

current mood: depressed

8:05 pm - never gonna dance again the way i dance with you
today has been a decent day off. listened to music, played MVP 2005, watched an episode of Bones, had some checkers, looked at some porn, and played around on the internet. The only con was, I actually had to leave to go to the local butcher to get some meats, which is also when i got some checkers. i like to spend at least one of my two days off, just chilling at home, not going anywhere. just being lazy as fuck. but thats not happening this week. oh well.

Music listened to today:
Megadeth- The System Has Failed
Megadeth- United Abominations
Megadeth- Greatest Hits
Men, Women, & Children
Metallica- Ride the Lightening
BRet Michaels- A Letter From Death Row
Metallica- Load
Some assorted Down songs

And now listening to George Michael Ladies & Gentlemen: The Best of disc 1

i have 7 more Metallica cds to listen to, 2 more George Michael cds to listen to, then Ministry, MIRV, Misfits, Minor Threat, Monster Magnet, and the Monkees are also on tap.

i should be able to get through some of this through this week.

current music: George Michael- Careless Whisper

i bought a couple of cds on Thursday. Bought a cd by Brazil. I remember seeing them many years ago, and liking them. it was only a buck. And bought The Academy Is.. Almost Here or what ever. basically spent $7 on both cds. i plan on buying new Metallica next week. I really like the new singles.

Listened to a ton of MEgadeth this week, still have 3 more cds to go. But, you know what? Dave Mustaine/Marty Friedman came up with some classic metal guitar riffs. i was relearning "Symphony of Destruction", "Trust", and "Kill the King" just a bit ago.

Also learn some of Metallica's "The Day That Never Comes"

11:11 pm - Foreclosure of a dream
when Amanda and I really started getting serious many years ago, you know at the point where we are talking about what our wedding will be like, how many kids we want to have, etc. one of the things we discussed is where would we live. Amanda said that she wanted to stay down here near her family. I was against it, because it would take me away from New York. I mean there arent any record labels working out of Philly, at least ones where i could have a future at. but over the years, I figured I could make it work. Plus maybe at some point I could get her to agree to at least move closer, like Freehold, or something.

Tonight we had an episode where I am thankful we do live near her mother. Amanda is allergic to milk, and she has asthma. But still we eat ice cream and stuff. Well for dinner, I made hamburger helper. We didnt have the one we normally do, but this cheeseburger macaroni one, and it called for 2 cups of milk, verses the one cup that the other would call for. i was a little concerned it might be too much. but still, I suggested I run to the local ice cream place and get some for after dinner. And well she, like I, cant resist ice cream. So I did. I come home, we put them in the freezer until after we eat hamburger helper.

Amanda put some hamburger helper on her plate, and per usual, she got some slices of cheese and put on top. then put it in the microwave, so it too could melt. so it's even more cheesier. despite her being allergic to milk, she loves cheese. it is actually one of her top 3 favorite foods. fast forward to eating ice cream.

she was more than half way done eating the ice cream, when she started getting coughing attacks. eventually she was throwing up. and at some point a piece of candy(from her ice cream) came up, and got lodged in her throat. So she coughed more excessively to try to get it out, and she succeeded. but then she fucked up her throat. the muscles in her throat were strained, and hurting her. It hurt for her to talk, to move her head, etc. i helped her as much as i could. I didnt really know what to do. she said to call her mother, and i did. She took the phone and explaind to her mom what happened. Her mom said she would be right over, as she lives less then 5 minutes away.

her mom came over, looked at her throat, tongue, mouth, etc. She said Amanda should have a popsicle. We didnt have any, so Bob and I Went to WAWA. WAWA only had two choices, which werent what I had in mind. But I bought both, hoping one would work. an hour later, she is feeling somewhat better. Not completely out of the woods yet.

but the moral of this entry is, I am glad that we do live near her mother. Because I wouldnt have thought of that. And who knows where we would be now. We may be at the hospital now, or something. but it comes down to that old saying "Mother knows best".

current music: MEgadeth- High Speed Dirt

My last.fm chart for last week.

After forcing myself to listen to every Manson cd I own, I have come to realize I dont like him as much as I used to. Although I would still say Portrait of an American Family and Holywood, are his best albums. People cream themselves over MEchanical Animals for whatever reason, but I find it pretty boring.

I have been listening to Paul Mccartney since yesterday. Almost done. Then I move on to MC5, Meat Puppets, MEdication, Metallica, Megadeth, MEshuggah, and John Mellencamp

9:06 pm - cold turkey has got me, on the run
Went to the ER today. I started feeling this horrible pain in my chest, where my heart is, around 8:30 am this morning while at work. I kinda dismissed it for like an hour, trying to finish the one store i was doing at the time. But it just kept feeling worse. I did finish the store, then i called Amanda and told her what was going on. Explained to her what i was feeling, she said i need to go to ER. I called the account manager in charge of the route i was working in, and told i had to go. eventually i got on the road and went to the hospital.

I was seriously concerned that i was having a heart attack. Heart disease does run in my family, just like diabetes does. I have one, havent got the other yet. Anyway, so I wasnt having a heart attack. I pulled a muscle or something along those lines. So the doctor said I have to take 2 to 3 days off work, and just relax. He prescribed a painkiller and a muscle relaxer. Said that I cant operate machinery, etc, while on muscle relaxer.

I called my boss when I got home, and let him know what was going on. HE basically said that I wont be able to go back to work till a Coca cola doctor sees me, and gives me a clean bill of health. He is hoping to get me in on Tuesday, but since this is a holiday weekend, he wasnt sure if it could happen. I am hoping so, because I cant afford to miss alot of work. Cant afford to take the days off I am now having to take off. But, there's nothing I can really do about it. I was supposed to work Dominos tonight too, but I called out there.

So basically i have 2 and a half more days off, after having been off on Thursday and Friday. The previous two days being scheduled days off, and now the sick days.

Well, I will be well rested when/if I go back to work on Tuesday.

current music: Corey Hart- Eurasian Eyes

Monday 8/25/08 marked a year since we moved into this house. and you know, it's really nice to have something like this, to call your own, to call home. and in less then a month, it will be our one year anniversary. never really dreamed i would have such. you know have an actual house, and a wife. it really speaks volumes how far i have come in my life. grant it at 34, most people have these things, and are well beyond this point. but, i have been slow on the maturity level, and prioritized other things in my life ahead of all this. i have learned that i can have it all really. with the exception of endless money. havent figured out how to make that happen yet. need to come up with a get rich quick scheme. one of these days, it will happen. maybe i could win the lottery. of course, i have to play to win. so i would need to purchase lottery tickets.

i download two new Metallica Songs, "The Day That Never Comes" and "My Apocalypse". The former i downloaded on Tuesday, the latter i downloaded last night. all off itunes, gotta throw that out there. anyway, at first I didnt really care for "Day", but it has grown on me. "Apocalypse" i havent had enough time with to make a judgement. but the other night, i made a Metallica mixtape, just so i could have "Day" on a cd and listen to it while driving. Basically my critera was, I didnt want the typical Metallica songs, and I didnt want them to be too long, as I wanted to be able to fit as much on a cd as possible. So i tried to pull songs that were four minutes or so, and basically got one song off every Metallica song. and its been fun.

otherwise musically, i have been listening to MAchine Head, Manson, and a variety of others.

current music: Marilyn Manson- Love Song

10:09 pm - and i said legal's never been my thing
Amanda and I went out for dinner tonight, to Olive Garden. We went out on Thursday night, to Fridays. I think it's very important that we do go out once a week, to just treat ourselves, even when we dont really have the money to be doing it, like the case is now. you know we work so hard, we should be able to have a reward.

We bought new couches at Raymour Flanigans tonight. they are being delivered on Saturday. Slowly, but surely, we are fixing up this house, adding new furniture, painting where needed, fixing the yard, and what not. owning a house is a lot of work, actually i get the feeling it's always a work in progress.

I weighed myself yesterday, and I was at 285lbs. Do you know how nice it is to be that far down? I mean I was at 323 back in Feb, and in August, I am at 285. My goal all summer has been to get down to 275, I am 10lbs away, with maybe a month left.

We hadnt been taking my blood/sugar reading since June 16th. We took it last night, and I was at 126. It's not too bad, considering I figured it would be higher, since I have been drinking more sodas, energy drinks, and eating more candy as of late. way to go me!!

Music listened to lately: Aerosmith's "Get Your Wings", ACDC's "Highway to Hell", Mnemic's "Audio Injected Soul", Stevie Wonder hits collection, and then a mixture of a bunch of other stuff.

We are going to Ohio/Kentucky the weekend of August 23rd. We will leave on the 22nd, and come back on the 24th. Essentially we will only have one day to spend in Ohio with family. but its the best we can do. mom wants to have a surprise birthday part for my Dad, and I was able to get the three days off from Coke. i was afraid they(Coke), would give me a hard time about it, because i have only been there for 2 months, but they were very cool about it. the only thing is they said i wouldnt get paid for the one day, because i dont have any vacation time yet. And that is fine, I will just work 4 10 or 11 hour days to make up for it that week. by the way, if anyone reading knows my father, you can not tell him i am coming.. its supposed to be a surprise.

current music: NIN- The Warning

wow in the span of time i was without a computer, last.fm changed a bit. seems that now their charts are pretty up to date now. before you would have to wait until Sunday to get a chart of everything you listened to the week leading up to that sunday, and for the overall charts it could be every few days or so.. but now, it seems live. it's pretty cool.

so this chart below is supposed to be my top listened to artists, dating back to when i created my account.

and then what i listened to last week

11:04 pm - we dont wanna believe that the world can still move on
i lost my red coke folder on saturday night. have no clue where. my guess is, it fell out of the car as i made my deliveries. it really sucks because it has my sign in sheets, and more importantly all my milage sheets too. an entire month of milage is missing, and i need to turn them in, so i can i can get reimbursed. so i have to basically recount all the places i went from 7/1 to 7/31. i can remember some days, like 7/3, because Wegman's was complaining about not getting a delivery the day before the 4th of July, and they had 12 packs and 2 liters on sale. but other days, not so much.

current music: Scars on Broadway- Babylon
