This is a beautiful highlight of the ideological differences between Canada and where I come from. I don't exactly mean the US, because some of my immediate reaction to this comes from being raised military and being born while my dad was serving in Viet Nam. I'm not sure at all how the bulk of the electorate feels about draft dodgers, only how I feel and how my dad feels.

But oh, it's just priceless! We're still supposed to be somehow ashamed of the draft dodgers, and the back and forth shouts between the two presidential candidates are putting all of that misery right back in the forefront.

I have to wonder at the timing. Why now? The announcement, I mean; I'm sure the memorial has been in the works for a while.
