I didn’t see it could come to this.
I wish I was alone…
Forever and ever unfeeling –
I think I should have known.
For so long unaware
Of what I was missing
Now found the shady make-believe
Of friends, and lies, and kissing.
There’s nothing here I want
Nothing here to gain
Looking for love and loyalty
And finding only pain.
Fake smiles and whispered secrets
Flowing out to sea
None of this is anything like
It was supposed to be.
