So a dragonspam maintainer lj-messaged me asking if I realized members couldn't have curse words in their names. I understand totally and actually, I was apprehensive whenever I would join a community or anything like that because I know a lot of things don't allow curse words in names. So I am now nerdy_leo. I didn't want to lose the Leo part of the name, since I have a newfound love for my Zodiac sign and the positives as well as the negatives that come with it and are so very me, and what am I second best only to bitchy? Nerdy.

Not that this will affect any of you very much, since everything is forwarded over from The Girl Formerly Known As bitchy_leo, but you know...for future reference.

I got a Betta fish, and I need help with a name! I considered Pandora (because of Tori Amos' song "Pandora's Aquarium") but as my Betta is a male, that poses a problem.

I redesigned my LJ. Well, no, I just chose a different color theme and changed the text in my sidebar. It was between the purple-based theme or the pink one...and the pink one reminded me of Levia, so no. New default icon is Tori Amos from her single of "Talula." She's my soulmate, btw. New title and all are from her song "Flying Dutchman," which is a very fun, upbeat song.

If anyone has any quotes I should add, let me know!

I have a 3.769 GPA-- four A's and a B! Huzzah!

Ever since my Livejournal's birthday of April 22, 2005, it and I have had some great times. A variety of subjects like serious morning wood, breaking up, my three birthdays; the starts of a friendship that is very important to me today; that friendship leading to a date to prom; then further leading into a relationship; then saying the one thing that changed my life forever -- all these things have made me truly appreciate Livejournal. Memories are great to have, but I wouldn't remember most of them if it weren't for Livejournal. And it truly makes me sad that everyone is leaving it or just not updating as much. But neither do I much anymore, and I used to be a ridiculous updater. Alas, I still love you, LJ. *pets*

This LJ name, __etereo_morte is important to me because it chronicles some of the most important events in my life. Thus, I will always keep it and still occasionally update it, even when I'm decrepit and old, or at least save the important entries, and remember things as they were now or two years ago.

The University of Montevallo campus was on lockdown late tonight after an incident involving a woman with a gun at a dorm, according to a school official.

The incident apparently happened about 9:30 p.m. when a woman with a gun was reported at Brooke Hall, a women's residence hall on the campus, said David Pritchett, the physical plant director for the school.

Campus officials were uncertain exactly what happened and no one was in custody late Tuesday, Pritchett said. However, the school alerted its students through a phone message system to remain in their rooms while campus police investigated.

If you didn't know, I go to Montevallo, and I live in Brooke. The president sent an email:

University police this morning are investigating an incident that occurred at Brooke Residence Hall on the UM campus at about 9:30 Tuesday evening (Oct. 30). Reports indicate that a young woman – a juvenile who is not enrolled at Montevallo – brandished a gun in front of a number of UM students in Brooke. No shots were fired and no injuries were reported. Shortly afterward, the suspect fled the campus and reportedly left the city. The UM Police Department recovered the firearm without incident. Area police officials are working with the UM Police Department as the investigation continues.

An arrest had not been made as of early this morning.

Yeah...

My dad passed away yesterday morning. He had cancer for months; we found out on February 2, 2007, and the prognosis wasn't good, but he took chemotherapy for a while. If I'm just not around, we're dealing with a lot of things involving arrangements, the service, and just cleaning house, et cetera. I am just glad he's no longer suffering.
