In addition, all the current lolita-related drama is so yawn. Cosplay? Yawn. Scientology farce? Yawn. The world according to boykitten? Yawn.

Or maybe it may be that lolita drama is almost always unbelievably petty to begin with... hmmm!

Meh at the new IW reserve items. Gingham is one of my really prolific pet hates; I don't think anyone over the age of 10 should be wearing it. For no real reason though. I just hate gingham. Fuck you, gingham!

Omg
How did I get £400 into my overdraft?!
I think I've had a mishap, thought my rent had already gone out so thought I still had a few hundred left of my loan.
Rent hadn't gone out. What a fucking dumbarse I am...
Rose Jail, fuck you.

In VERY RELATED news, I am now selling these:

The first one I have the receipt for, but I know a few people on my friends list really liked it so I thought I'd ask!

The second... I've lost the receipt ,_,

Both were £16...

And I've still got stuff for sale here!

Damn.

Er, weirdness?
My rose jail jsk was delivered a couple of weeks ago, but my mum noted it appeared to have been torn open and re-sealed by some company (not parcelforce though...). It was delivered ok though, and with no customs fee...

Apparently a letter arrived this morning asking me for £49?!

The weird thing about this, is that the package was valued at $150 singapore dollars - which is about £55. So how can they be charging me this much?
Either way, I have my parcel. I guess if I don't pay they'll take legal action, huh?

So I didn't win this, it ended up going 3500 over my budget. Funnily enough, the amount it would have cost is the same as my holiday to Greece (which was booked today) is costing this year. Thinking about it that way, it seems ridiculous, but I hope regardless that whoever won it gets much enjoyment out of it! I'm resigned to never getting anything from this print, really. I wonder if Baby will ever re-release it again?

I did, however, get order confirmation for the rose jail skirt in black! I think there are supposed to be 2 skirt versions, so I hope that this turns out to be the one I like better. I thought the design was actually surprisingly subtle compared to the dresses. I am hoping the other one will have a bustle or something so I won't want it... I hate bustles :p

The last time I ordered from Baby was way back when they were only accepting bank tranfer.

So can anyone tell me, if you see something on the blogs that you want, how do you go about it? Just send the regular order form even though it's not on the website? And will they accept this form of ordering for an item they're gonna put on the site in the near future?

Arrgh, I'm so upset. I've been following the progress of the Rose Jail print for ages, selling things off and watching Baby like a hawk, and then I missed out because I should have just gone and made an order by myself rather than waiting.
I don't give a shit about group orders and customs now! I just want my dress! T_T

I've had a haphazard couple of days.

Yesterday I got the shakes because I hadn't eaten anything and nearly passed out. Actually, I've been very shaky lately in general and it makes me feel very uneasy, sort of like I could be blown away by a sudden gust of wind.
I'd completely forgotten about an assignment I was supposed to give in... but my tutor doesn't give a shit anyway, so he didn't notice.

I got up at 8am to spend two hours walking around trying to find this customs office, kept trying to ring helplines to find out where it was, only to be put on hold and cut off. The postcode they had put on the form was WRONG, ergo the map I had got off multimap was directing me to completely the wrong place. How the fuck do they get their OWN ADDRESS wrong?! THEY'RE ROYAL FUCKING MAIL!!!
Part of the whole Neiman Pick thing is that you get exhausted very quickly and easily, and I can't walk for very long or very far. So I wasn't too happy at having to walk miles to get a parcel I had PAID to have delivered to my door.
By the time I found the place I was too tired, upset and frustrated to contest the fee like I had planned to (in fact I did the whole transaction without saying a word). Then as I got my wallet out to pay the £19, the guy informed me that they didn't take cards. And I only had £15 in cash.
I started crying in frustration and anger at this point in front of startled onlookers. Luckily Nick had just enough small change to sort it out.
Ringing on monday to complain; Y/N?

I got overtly followed round H&M by some creepy guy, until Nick came and met me. I actually stopped and looked him in the eye and he just stared at me. Creeepy.

So Nick was my knight in shining armour all day until I was cleaning his room and stepped on some glass, because the carpet has fucking grit and mud and all sorts EVERYWHERE. I'm not angry, but I refuse to go in his room until it's vaccumed.

Came home and got right to my front door having carefully balanced THE BEST TASTING COKE EVER on my parcel all the way up 8 flights of stairs, and then dropped it right outside my foor.
I've got a nice stain that looks like I vomited in my doorway.

Though regardless of all that... my god, it's a beautiful day.

4:25 pm - Are UK 'clearance fees' fair?
Forgive me if this isn't considered relevant, but I know a lot of us get hit by customs fees, particularly on high-cost items like brand clothing, and in the UK they are particularly harsh.

I'm in the UK, and I recently got a nice little note through the door informing me that I had to pay £20 for the privelege of having to go and pick up my parcel from the depot.

Upon further investigation... )

I forgot to mention that Orange released me from the second mobile phone contract yesterday morning. I put my mum on the accounts as a third party, and she phone trading standards who gave her a direct phone number of some important guy at Orange, and had it all sorted out within a few days. That woman is a godsend.

The guy at Orange also reccommended that I cash the £170 cheque from Phones4U as 'compensation'. Get in!
