6 degrees

a text message floated in late saturday afternoon from Miss Tora Pines. it read:

"Mr. Moose! I can connect Bobcat Goldthwait to Annette Benning in 6. Can you do it in 5?"

Ha!

5 is a worthy challenge.
4 would be impressive.
3 is right out.
2 would be stunning (like Annette Benning and NOT Bobcat)
1 would prove dominance

Mrs. Wally will give proof of my mad 6 degrees skills. Yes, my dear friends, 1. No IMDB needed as she was on the computer and I did not have interweb access.

And now I pass along the challenge to all of you.

And a new challenge for Ms. Pines: Clancy Brown to Candace Bergen

tomorrow is my last day at the Office of Information Technology. It will be filled with:

  • Business card origami
  • Moving things into my new office
  • Saying goodbyes
  • Shoring up SummIT
  • Farewell lunch @ 11:30 @ Pikk's Tavern in downtown Valparaiso
  • cleaning off my 'puter
  • handing in my computer *sniff*

Then tomorrow night is Holly Days in downtown Valparaiso with a live Nativity, carolers, carriage rides, hot cocoa, and a visit from Santa.

Then Jim, Cathy and Sarah are coming to visit for the weekend. I'm sure it will be filled with the Wii, Christmas lights and other various adventures.

My Daughter can kick your ass in Wii Bowling.

Yes, you read that correctly. I DID NOT say: My Daughter can kick your Daughter's ass in Wii Bowling.

I said:

My Daughter can kick your ass in Wii Bowling.

Haley bowled games of 192 and 200 tonight!!!!!!!!!

Kicked my butt, that's for sure.

i'm not sore any more. it's passed. must have been a post-surgical issue: scar tissue, healing process, etc.

and most signs of crohn's are gone. i just have to remember to eat right and my body will continue to be good to me.

oh wonderful surgical incision, what is going on with you. you don't look normal. i shall spare my lj friends details, but you don't look right. is it an infection?

maybe a trip to the dr. this week will answer some questions. . .

oh please feel better soon. sneezing is a chore and it's always allergy season for me.

infection update 2

posted as a reply in the previous post regarding the infection, but had to share an update.

finally got info from the doc today. no infections per the lab work.

but, the redness still exists at the incision near the right side. she said to take care of it with neosporin and hydrogen peroxide. if that doesn't settle down, then call her back.

infection?

I seemed to have developed a small infection on my surgical incision. Neosporin has been applied. Will wait and see what happens overnight. Hopefully it is not serious and stays calm. If not, then a call to the doctor and a course of abx will do the trick.

Please let it not be more than that!!!!!

finals!

Finals, Cleveland Cavaliers, NBA, LeBron James
so, for some reason the cavs actually beat the pistons 4 games to 2 in the eastern conference finals. let's remember that it's been a long time coming for cleveland sports and championships. we probably won't win the series, but i'm happy that we are there.

just a few wii/wee updates

we've been looking for a wii for the past few weeks. we stockpiled some accessories in hopes of finding a wii at a local store. as luck would have it, walmart had received a shipment and was pulling wiis out of a box as i was wandering through the electronics department.

i honestly haven't played it that much. bec and i have rented a few games. we were hot to trot on playing cooking mama, but the sensor doesn't pick up the motions very well yet. bec was frustrated with that and i don't blame her. i might try and play later.

we played wii sports the other night. i like bowling! bec is better at the curves and spin than i am. bec and i have cleared a few levels of super paper mario. i think we like that game the best and will eventually buy that. i'm considering getting tiger woods just for the heck of it; we'll see though. . .

going home

Headed home today after a week and a half at Porter and Northwestern. Both Becky and I are excited to be out of the hospital. The IV needs to finish and then the PICC line needs to be removed. Then I'll take a long hot shower with out tubes or arms wrapped in plastic.

We will be using our new iPass that Becky purchased the the other day. As insignificant as that sounds, I think it will be fun to finally have one and bypass a good chunk of the traffic. I wish that Indiana would get on board with it as well.
