Some Grim News courtesy of nicotine addiction
One of my father's first cousin's died today. He was 67 and had been close with my dad in their youth (born two years apart), but like my dad, who died in 1990 at the age of 50, he was another victim of the tobacco industry. My father died of an aortic aneurysm. Horace "Buddy" Joseph Ferranti died from cancer, although he did not take care of himself and, like my father, had bypass surgery, then continued to smoke. Several years ago Buddy was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes like I have (and take care of). His only son, who was very dependent on him, is newly blinded by hs own Type I Diabetes. Buddy lost consciousness a few days ago. They lived in a trailer in rural California so someone else in the family is going to have to take care of Michael now.

The most controversial part of my web site has always been my smoking page (haydennet.com/smoking) because a lot of people think I am telling adults what they should do with their own bodies. That just proves the ignorance of the people who casually peruse my site because anyone who reads my stance will see that I am libertarian about all drugs. Still, that does not excuse the profiteering drug dealers under the auspices of a farming industry that uses government subsidies to escape liability and responsibility for killing a lot of people in my family, including my grandmother, step-grandmother, this cousin and of course my father.
