Dick's Dyke-less Speech
While I was happy to hear Cheney's wife call him a dick a few times before he took the stage for a very long and boring speech that had nothing to do with the economy but everything to do with war (the industry he made his money in, together with the oil industry), noticeably absent were the two daughters that Cheney has introducing their mother, the way Laura Bush and Dumbya's daughters segued to the female "Bushy". What was even more insulting, and I noticed it before the commentators did, was that after Cheney's speech, when his grandchildren, son-in-law and ONE daughter (the str8 one) got up there, the lesbian daughter was missing.
In the audience earlier I saw the dyke daughter applauding while pulling the hair back over her ears to emphasize her mullet and the woman next to her had darker hair but a similar haircut. The cameras tried (at least on CNN) to avoid including the second mullet woman when showing Dick Cheney's family. After the criticism from the Left as to why the lesbian daughter was no on the stage after Cheney's speech, they responded that it was HER choice not to go up there, but it makes me wonder why it was her choice. Was she given an ultimatum that if she went up, her girlfriend couldn't? Or did she just not go up out of the goodness of her heart for the campaign's sake?
