BaMoTTuSto Reader's Choice Awards!
BaMoTTuSto is over (woot! I made it!), and now I need to pick the stories that have earned the little purple star in my journal index (and maybe get some feedbax on my writing besides). The poll is unavoidably huge, so I'll try to keep the rest of this post short.

Please feel free to answer even if you haven't read every single one of the stories. Please also don't feel rushed, if you want to take a few days to browse through the interesting-looking ones. It's a reader's choice poll, after all. You're the readers. ];=8)

I would love to have more detailed feedback in post comments. Anyway, thank y'all for reading.

Truth be told, my personal favorites were "Random encounter," "First flight," and "Right Here, Right Now" -- but I had trouble narrowing it down to three! Which is, I suppose, the sign of a successful month of writing, and/or a dangerously big ego. ];=8)

"Acts of faith" is solid, and "Shelter" is a good mood piece. "Top of the world" and "Hiss and Purr" were fun. I can't think of anything significant I'd change about "Haunted house," "The Talk" or "Love poultice No. 95." For all its flaws, and for all that it was a pain to write, I ended up thinking "Candle" came out OK -- definitely could use a second draft, but it makes the impression I want it to make.

(Of course, that's all IMHO, and I'm biased because I know all the world background and the big story arcs I haven't written yet.)

Maybe I should have have asked for more than the top three. Well, if you have additional nominations, go ahead and list 'em here, I suppose.

"Sensei Wolf" and "Ad Battle" were also favorites of mine: "Wolf" for how wonderfully you portrayed J.E. as revelling in her new self, and "Ad" for how accurately I feel that portrays PETA's outlook and policy--they really do think of it as a crime in those exact terms.

"Hiss and Purr" was interesting -- one wonders if there would be a danger of smaller theris being trampled underfoot in the rush to get into the dealer's rooms, for instance, or if there were unusual requests at the hotel resturant ("How would you like that done, sir?" "raw, please." "...").

In fact, I think I'm inspired to write a Tlands story now.

Hi Baxil,

Wandered over here off another comment elsewhere, and came across this...and *damn* you're good. I still need to go through the second list of stories, but I've pretty much liked them all. I really like "Acts of Faith", though, for some reason.
