My Popup Blocker Currently Reads 666 Blocked

After having a chance to cope with the insane visual overload that was Speed Racer I've decided that I liked the movie. The plot wasn't the best but it was a fun movie. As for regular anime I started watching Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei. I can't help but feel that many refrences are going over my head. Some refrences are pretty easy to get though like random psychelocks appearing on the main character or Light having a cameo. It's the cultural stuff that I'm missing. I like it so far though.

Cassie and I were talking about going to Ichiban for lunch Friday afternoon to celebrate the end of the semester. The two of us are also going to see Narnia in the evening. Is anyone else interested in going to either place?

My Spoon is Too Big :(

If I have learned anything from these past two semesters it is that I was right the first time. I am once again a computer science major. My dad is not very happy with me but my mother has assured me that I'm not considered a failure so all is well I guess. In my excitement I have already finished my schedule for the fall semester.

Monday and Wednesday:
Calculus I - 9:00 - 10:50
Data Structures and Algorithm Analysis - 11:00 - 12:40

Tuesday and Thursday:
American Literature I - 9:30 - 10:45
Intro to Video Game Design - 12:20 - 2:20

The best part about this schedule is that I don't have any classes on Friday. My American Lit class is ENGL205G section 01 by the way.

Cassie and I were talking and we wanted to know who would be interested in going to Disney World next summer. It would be nice to go on a group vacation before we all graduate from college. I'm sure that It's too early to start planning but we just wanted to know what everyone thought.

Link Time
Parody of the 7th Harry Potter book. It's been awhile since I read it but I remember thinking it was funny.
This was nominated in 2000 for the Oscar for best Animated Short

According to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness I am a Mewoth. At least it wasn't Bulbsaur again.

Gasp!

Looks like the rumors were true. The new PW game is infact not Ace Attorney 5 but a spin off game staring Edgeworth and Gumshoe.

Ow

My arm is very sore right now and will aparently hurt like hell tomorrow. The rabies vaccine itself barely hurt but from what my professor and some of the other people in the class said, it bruises something fierce. And I still need to get two more.

Steven and I are going bowling with some of his friends tomorrow and any of you are free to come. Just give me a call by 6:00 if you are interested.

I'm Feeling Cranky Right Now

I was in a fairly bad mood today. My group for the independent research project in my Microbiology Lab has a habit of just doing whatever without thinking about whether or not it is the correct thing to do. Normally I'd just ignore it but when my grade is on the line I have to speak up. Unfortunately they just assure me that they are right or try and argue with me about it. It's so frustrating. If you want to know if the colony is gram negative or positive just gram stain the thing. Oxidase tests don't need to be done to find out something so simple. ARGHHH. Why do people need to make things more difficult than they have to be? The vet tech students are experts at this. Maybe you people would understand the material if you didn't spend lecture bitching to each other about the class or texting on your cell phones. I'm so glad I have room in my schedule next semester for a class that isn't related to my major.

I think that I should start running on the treadmill or something. I have the bad habit of keeping everything inside and then either ignore it or mentally rant about it until the apathy kicks in. I've heard that physical activity can help with stress. Hopefully taking Ballet 1 during the next fall semester will provide me with an outlet. Although I have noticed that my flute playing improves if I'm stressed.

A Buttercup In Time

On a shiney and cranky morning, Phoenix Wright sat on a car. It was Valentine's Day and he was all alone. His finger ached in sorrow for the secret love that he could never share. How could he expect Miles Edgeworth to love someone with a red big toe?

Geekly, he began to recite a poem he had composed. "Ah, my love is like a sparkly spikey-haired lamp, all on a summer's day. I wish my Miles Edgeworth would stick me, in his own squicky way..."

"Do you?" Miles Edgeworth sat down beside Phoenix Wright and put his hand on Phoenix Wright's elbow. "I think that could be arranged."

Phoenix Wright gasped slowly. "But what about my red big toe?"

"I like it," Miles Edgeworth said spazily. "I think it's squishy."

They came together and their kiss was like a cup of hot chocolate that warms the soul.

"I love you," Phoenix Wright said creepily.

"I love you too," Miles Edgeworth replied and stuck him.

They bought a zebra, moved in together, and lived lawerly ever after.

PW Dance Party :D

I saw There Will be Blood with Steven on Friday. It was good although I liked No Country for Old Men a lot more. I can see why all the critics were going crazy for Daniel Day Lewis though. His acting was excellent. My favorite part of the whole movie though had to be the score. As we were leaving the theater these two guys that were sitting in the row in front of us were ranting about how awesome it was. I've never seen a fanboy get giddy over anything before so it was an experience. The rest of weekend has been pleasent. I found two volumes of Witch Hunter Robin that I needed and now all I need to do is to find a copy of volume 2. I also bought Apollo Justice. Hopefully it won't take me as long to finish this one.

CLAMP fandom seriously needs to chill out. I've never seen anyone take their fandom so seriously. I'm not even in the fandom and I notice this. Anyway, I found out that I H + R Block is cutting everyone's hours so I'll only be working 1 day a week now which sucks. On the plus side this gives me more time to study. School continues to be uneventful although in micro I correctly identified my mystery bacteria on the first try. It was E. Coli. very alive E. Coli. I'm somewhat paranoid now. On a less pathogenic note I finally got around to beating Phoenix Wright 3. Much love for that game. The 5th case is probably one of my favorites out of all three games.
In case any of you are interested the used book store on 191 is moving to a new location so everything is on sale. I'm not sure how much longer it's going on though.

Short Entry

If your idea of a good movie is Hayden Christian getting electrocuted a lot then go see Jumper. If not don't bother. The plus side of going to see it though is that I saw the trailer for the new Indiana Jones movie. Also saw the trailer for Wall-e. The robot looks so sad :(.

Weather Woes

If it had to snow tonight why couldn't it have snowed in the morning so that there might have been a chance of classes getting canceled. Hopefully it starts again during the night. In addition to that I had further frustrations with my computer. I finally bought and downloaded Portal. I tried running it but it kept crashing once it reached the menu screen. After about an hour or so of pain I finally got it working. Thankfully it's lived up to the hype so far or else I would be a bit crankier right now. It is really quite addicting.

I'm going to bed now. But first I mist pimp this incredibly random flash cartoon.

I had the most random dream last night. I remember that most of you were in it and that it followed the level of the first Harry Potter game where you had to avoid Filch. Beyond that the only specific thing that I remember is at one point Filch said "They look Canadian enough.".
I spent most of yesterday with Steven and his family. One of his relatives was having a big Italian dinner thing. Steven had no idea who anyone was so I didn't really talk to anyone outside of his immediate family. We spent most of the time in the living room watching Blazing Saddles and Jurassic Park. The food was really good though. They instantly won my love when I discovered that there was duck. The food was set up in a buffet style but wasn't labled or anything. I ended up eating rabbit, deer, and wild boar, all of which were delicious.

What Did I Learn Today?

Today in my parasitology lab I learned that exploded roundworm eggs look like pacman vomiting. That was the teacher's analogy, not mine.
Steven and I went to see Juno yesterday. It ended up being rather sweet and funny. I still think that Sweeny Todd was more deserving of the nomination though. Oh Well.

Snow tubing with Steven and his friends ended up being more fun than I thought it would be. It's still not something that I'd like to do often. I ended up getting sick that night and spent Saturday being miserable. My fever went away by Sunday but I was left with a bad cold until today. Not much else to say except that as you can see from my previous post I joined a LJ based anime TCG. I also wanted to pimp the web comic Sidequests.

In Which I have a Semi-Eventful Day

This Morning I went to lunch at Red Robin with Cassie and Julie. It was nice to sit and talk about what not. I had fun. The big event of the day was that it was my first real day of work. Not the most thrilling experience. It was a very slow night. I only answered the phone twice and nobody came in. I ended up sitting around staring into space most of the time. The guy who I am assuming is my boss ended up letting everyone go at 8 instead of 9. I worked a total of 2 hours and 15 minutes. I made a total of $14 or so. It kind of doesn't seem worth it to be working right now as I can only work 2 nights a week for around 4 hours. It is just a temporary job I'm doing for spening money. I'll get a better job over the summer.
