I need help...sorry for all the questions. Here is my code. Thank you.
1. How do I change the color of the links in my footer? I have a black footer and my link color is black so you don't see anything unless you hover over the link.
2. I would like to get rid of the Comments bar. I saw that it was recently answered but I don't have the code you told the other user to delete.
3. How do I make the Reply and Expand in the comments an image? I was able to make the thread and parent an image but since the code is a different I'm not sure what to change.
4. I would like to move the permalink to the right with the other icons. If possible, I would like it to be the last icon.
5. I would like to move the the icons on the right up so that they are at the same height as the arrows. (see image)

I have thirteen questions, sorry there's so many, and I've really tried to fix them myself, but I just seem to break things whenever I try with these ones. And a couple of them I don't even know if they're possible...

I'm trying to recolor only the date but not the time on entries for
dailydope. I'm sure it's an easy fix but everything I've tried so far changes both.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

We bring you this patch release in order to address some problems that people have been experiencing with the rich text editor.
- Miscellaneous JavaScript errors fixed.
- The More Colors option on the text color selector is fixed.
- No longer adds extra lines to drafts saved from the RTE.
- The "Browse Server" button from the Insert Image window has been removed.
- Insertion of Scrapbook images from the Insert Image window now works properly.
- The Firefox spellchecker now works with the RTE.
"If you are using Internet Explorer 7 and are unable to add lj-cuts to your entries in the Rich Text Editor, this may be because IE7 is blocking scripted windows. You can change this setting by going to Internet Options -> Security -> Custom Level and enabling scripted windows." (Source)

I wanted to change a few things
• I decided to have a square layout but the metadata when I set it to be square the mood text & other text around it space out & capitalize. But when I set it to round it will look fine.
• The navigation has rounded edges too. I want it to be square.
• The profile component color is not the same as the entry color and of course I can just put a color code by the profile but I wanted to know what might be doing that.
• Is there a tutorial to replace the tags list to have images next to them?
• Can I put the title of the entry somehow on the header component?

Several users reported not being able to type text in the entry box or the lj-cut function not working correctly when using the Rich Text editor. Support says that "LiveJournal developers are aware that some users are experiencing problems with the Rich Text editor after the recent upgrade, but have been unable to reliably reproduce the issues that are being reported." Steps have been taken to troubleshoot these issues. (Source)

Announcing
lj_advisory
We are pleased to announce the creation of the
lj_advisory community, set up so you can find news and information related to the activities of the Advisory Board. We recognize that it has taken us a while to get this community up and running, and that has caused some frustration. From now on, we will post topics which will be discussed by the Advisory Board prior to the date of the meeting and summaries of meetings after they occur. Throughout the year, the Advisory Board may also post requests for opinions on topics which may be discussed at future meetings. This is the official community for communication with the Advisory Board – comments will be read by Advisory Board members who will respond as they feel appropriate.
RTE + Opera and Safari = <3
RTE stands for Rich Text Editor, which is the default method of posting entries from the Post an Entry page. Our Rich Text Editor is based on the open-source FCKeditor code. It allows you to make links or LiveJournal user tags, insert photos or videos, and format your entries without needing to know HTML. That is, unless you use Opera or Safari as a browser, in which case you couldn't use the RTE.
That will be changing today. We are pleased to announce that the RTE has been upgraded to the latest version of the FCK code, which includes support for Opera and Safari! In addition, many of the bugs in the old version have been fixed. If you've been using RTE, you will most likely need to clear your browser's cache in order to use the new version.
<strike> vs. <b>
Last year we changed the visual display of deleted and suspended usernames from a line through the username to a bold font. This had the effect of making the name unclickable - which meant that no one could easily determine whether the username had been deleted or suspended. We've reversed this display, returning deleted and suspended usernames to a struck-through and clickable state.

Notable changes:
This release will also be discussed in
Notable changes:
- The RTE editor has been greatly improved, and is now using the latest (2.6.3) version of FCKEditor. This means that modern versions of Firefox, IE, Opera, and Safari should all work. Please comment with any problems that you find. Please clear your cache before trying this feature as it might not properly detect updated javascript files.
- Basic accounts are back, as discussed in lj_2008 and news in recent weeks. Logged-out visitors will now see ads on Basic journals but the experience for logged in users will not change.
- We're bringing strikethrough back. Last year we changed the visual display of deleted and suspended usernames from a hyperlink with a line through the name to a non-hyperlinked bold font representation. We've reverted this change, returning deleted and suspended usernames to a struck-through and clickable state.
- New comment subscriptions are no longer displaying empty comment strings.
- LJ names with leading or trailing underscores are no longer automatically eligible to rename their account for free. In these cases, a support request is now required in order to request a free rename.
Several users reported seeing incorrect userpics. Support says that "LiveJournal developers have recently taken action to correct the issue where user's userpics appeared to randomly replaced with another user's images and the issue should now be resolved." (Source)
Edit (September 1st, 5pm GMT): Reports about similar incidents keep on being filed. Editor's Note: it seems unclear whether this issue has been really resolved or not.
Edit (Sep. 2nd, 10:20pm GMT): "LiveJournal developers are aware that some users have been reporting problems with incorrect userpics displaying but have been unable to reliably reproduce the issues that are being reported. If you are having any problems with the userpics displaying incorrectly, please clear your browser's cache. Please be assured that your userpics have not physically been replaced, nor does it mean that anyone has accessed your account. If you are worried that someone may have accessed your account, please view your login sessions. If you notice any sessions which do not belong to you, please contact the LiveJournal Abuse Prevention Team for assistance." (Source)
