My 'verse is made up of ficlets, short and finished. Some can be read without having read the others; others you need to read a previous one to understand. The timeline will be recorded here with the ages of the boys as the ficlets go.

The point of this 'verse is to fill in the gaps as to how Dean Winchester became the big brother we know and adore for his over-protectiveness with a certain little brother of his. *coughcoughOhSammycoughcough* Looking back at the two flashbacks we've seen of the boys when they were younger, Dean was the typical big brother: making fun of Sam, picking on him, annoyed by his being younger...like I said, the usual things.

So how did he become a VERY over-protective big brother? What turned Dean into...Dean?

These stories were/are written for that purpose.

WTF, CW? I cannot BELIEVE they would do that. I myself love spoilers, but I know tons of people don't, so am VERY careful to keep any and all spoilers under cuts or to myself. For the CW to do this...you suck, CW. This was NOT cool.

For those not in the know: the CW apparently ran spoilers for SEASON 4 underneath the episode as it re-aired. To keep the fans interested and coming back for more, I assume. Ass-hattery is what I'm calling it.

You can ship them off a letter of complaint here; I encourage you to do so. This is what I sent (and trying to explain that while I like spoilers, this wasn't cool, wouldn't have worked, so I just went with saying I didn't like them for their little corporate brains to try and process easier):

To whom it may concern,

I'm a firm watcher of Supernatural; it's actually the only show on the CW I feel is worth watching, and I stand by that very strongly. I watch the reruns during the summer whenever I can, and promote it everywhere. I love looking forward to each season with its surprises.

That being said, myself and MANY other fans of the show were supremely disappointed and shocked when spoilers, mentions of the upcoming and unaired season, were shown during the rerun of Supernatural tonight. We've been very careful to avoid spoilers all summer long, in order to make things enjoyable, and now they're on the actual show?

I've been watching it during the summer not just for the show itself, but also to give it the ratings and attention it deserves. I feel you spend far too much time focused on other shows, and barely show Supernatural, one of the shows with the most dedicated fandom. If you continue this, however, I will not be watching. This was a very poor decision on the network's part, and disappoints me greatly.

Please remove future spoilers from reruns, so as not to ruin the surprise and anticipation for us. We ENJOY waiting to see what happens in the fall, and WILL return, I promise you. You don't need to do anything about that except air the episodes: Eric Kripke, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and all the other fine men and women in the cast and crew ensure that I'll return to watch more.

And truly (because I'm not a saint, and I'm fairly annoyed with your network at the moment), I would consider giving the show the time it deserves outside of Thursdays: commercials, promos, something like that. Please stop shoving the reality shows and the teenage sex gossip programs in our faces. We want to watch a real show with real plot, real characters you can care about, and you have that with Supernatural. Please don't ruin one of the few good shows on television for us.

Grrrrr on them. Not cool at ALL. Spread the word if you think this wasn't cool at all, and that they should just air the episodes, plain and simple.

Yes. I'm listening to Christmas music already; what of it? It's July. That's totally acceptable.

I'm also in quite a bit of pain because hello cramps! You're late! And you're making up for it! *bitchface* I also have a coldsore on my lip which hurts a lot, mainly because I bit it by accident a little while ago, and now it's swollen, so I look like a dork when I try and smile. So it's a good thing that I have no reason or inclination to smile at this point.

You, however, may feel free to laugh and snicker all you like, because A) you're my friends and you're close and I can take it, and B) because I can't see you doing it. So you're safe.

And they won't let me into my class! *whines* Lemme in already! Want IN! Me good student. Me get good grades. Me. Want. IN! (Seriously. I've been waiting for this class to open up, for some idiot to go, "Oh wow, I don't want that class, and I don't need it, so why take it? I know there's some wonderful, fantastic woman out there who wants it, so I'll give it to her." And yes, this idiot is male. *glares* I'm allowed! I'm in PAIN because I didn't get knocked up this month! WHY am I getting punished because men are deficient and not capable of recreating for their species? Other males do it!
