WOO!!! MIRACLE!

[Frame of mind: | creative]

So here are pics of my new laptop

It’s so awesome :-) we don’t get internet till tonight (hopefully) then the first thing im gonna do is download skype so I can webcam it up with donna and the parents/sister. It’s gonna be aweeeesome.

I started my BSL Level 2 course last night..the tutor, chris is deaf and he’s really nice. He knows that I’m not that hot on the BSL but already knows I know ASL (aussie sign language) so we managed to sign together pretty well.  Don’t know if I’ve explained the story behind it all but basically there is a young person in the children looked after team (at my work) who has deaf parents..she doesn’t live with them but visits them every weekend. She knows the basic signs and wanted to take it a step further BUT she’s only 15 so in order for her to attend this adult course she needed to have an adult go with her, so the CLA team unit manager asked me if I wanted to do a level 2 and I jumped at the chance! It’s an expensive course but thankfully I get to do it free as it’s kinda part of work (not part of my PA job though)  the young person is really cool…I was worried we wouldn’t get along but we get along great. We’ll both be doing this course every Monday night until next July…there will be 3 exams during that time…and at next weeks lesson we have Ofsted inspectors sitting in so Chris is a bit nervous haha.  My homework this week is to describe 2 rooms in my house and tell it to the class next week (all in sign language of course) haha. All the ppl in the class are girls..aged between about 21 – 35 (cept for the YP of course)

I have put a BSL dictionary on my amazon wishlist so I hope I get it cuz It will be so useful as the course doesn’t provide a dictionary. Oh oh oh and at last nights lesson we learnt about professions…like how to sign ‘butcher’ and ‘dress maker’ and ‘chemist’ and ‘doctor’ and all that kind of thing…then how to put them in to sentences. BSL is different to Aussie cuz they miss out the ‘and’ ‘it’ ‘to’ words and just sign the main words. That will take some getting used to.

Anyway..martin was supposed to find out about the police on Friday and it’s now Tuesday and we’ve still heard nothing..so hopefully today we will get some news about it. He’ll get a letter either saying Yes or No. we’ll see.

[Frame of mind: | cheerful]

i had a chilled out weekend. didn't go anywhere cept out with mark and his layydeee luise *she's from gympie mate!* on friday night to the chequers, then to the grand cafe...then i found £5.00 on the pavement whilst walking to the kite to meet MTN after work. so that was sweet.

Saturday mtn and i walked around cowley road looking for chillis and stuff to buy as he made a curry on sat night. i had a tesco finest pizza cuz im lazy and realised i couldnt taste it cuz my nose was blocked so i saved the rest for sunday.

sunday i took aj to the cinema to see clone wars, then we had a walk around the car boot sale at the kassam which is AMAZING...some lady was selling a brand new wooden bread box for £1.00...so im gonna go back there next week and pick it up...couldnt really do it with AJ there. we scored his mum a free pub ashtray though and got him a free tottenham FC football shirt. yeeaahh then sunday arvo/night MTN and i walked up to shotover and went on a little bushwalk. got stung by a stinger nettle and ate a milk icecream called 'Snow man' or something...watched X factor, was disappointed at the lack of talent then went to bed.

facsinating. well i get paid tomorrow so i'll prob be buying my new laptop from laptopsdirect. i got a quote on the one i'm prob gonna order (the acer) and the price has magically gone from £419 to £487 or something so i've emailed them back just asking about that. if it stays at £419 i'll purchase it on wednesday...but i might get an extra GB added onto the memory which is prob why the price was £487 in the end (Cuz i requested an upgrade) what do you think? does an extra GB of memory usually cost £60 odd?

ahh my mate cecilia brought her baby in today...look how cute she is:

she looks like a china man in this one:

GIVE ME ONE SOON PLEASE THANKS.

So it's my birthday soon...i've recieved 3 packages in the mail already that i'm not gonna open till the morning of my birthday...so excited!!!

here's another look at my wislist ;-) i'm really hoping it's gonna be a wicked birthday this year. last year was sweet..mtn surprised me by taking me to the Fox at Boars Hill with his family. We'll prob do something similar this year.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/registry/registry.html?ie=UTF8&type=wishlist&id=3PDK6G4W2MUUM

also..here's the dress i brought at glasto for £5.00 that i'm never gonna wear in public cuz it looks like i'm just wearing a bin bag with yellow crap painted on it:

So if anyone wants it...let me know!!

Bye for now x

ryanair is doing flights to pretty much anywhere in europe for £5 - £10 including all taxes.

it really sucks that i wont be booking any of these because it would be upsetting certain people that can't afford to go on a holiday.

rubbish.

also, i found this:

How to stay independent
Remember who you were. Don't drop the friends, hobbies or lifestyle you had at the start of the relationship in order to fit in with your man. If he doesn't share these, there's no need to abandon them; if they fulfill you, keep them in your life.

Take breaks
It's great to be together but 24/7 bonding creates dependence. At least twice a year, take a weekend away, either with friends or on your own, to gain a fresh view that you can share when you reunite.

Final hint
Start asserting your independence today by thinking of something you'd really like to do and suggest it to your partner. If he's up for it, you've taken the lead. If he's not keen, then give him a big smile and simply do it by yourself. But most importantly, have a great time!

*sigh*

Seeing as I can't really go anywhere on holiday i thought i'd try something else to occupy my time:

i applied for a part time promotions job at Fox FM. I used to work for them a few years ago so hopefully i'll get the job. I also read on their website that Jason Donovan now hosts teh Sunday night show. I'd love to meet him hahaa. My resume is pretty impressive I reckon...if they've heard of the warped tour that is.

i'm an updating maniac!

Anyway..got the travel bug again but this time i want to dooo something about it...i want to go to either LA or NY but i've been to NY like every year for the last 3 years and im thinking LA is the way forward.

i found this:

but the thing is..there are cheaper flights going to LA via Atlanta but i'm sad and i only want to go to Toronto so i can visit canada again (well the airport for 5 hours) ANNNDDD SO I CAN HAVE TIM HORTONS! flights are pretty cheap anyway...i really want to visit shannon and all them in nova scotia but flights are £150 more exxy..which makes no sense cuz it's way closer.

martin wont want to come :-( and wont be happy about me wanting to go but waaahhh i want to DO something with my annual leave!!!! i want to TRAVEL. isn't that the primary reason why i'm in the UK? well..it used to be.

what should i do?

finally...a nice sunny day!

wanna hear something gross...i was eating this yummy cinnamon roll that someone at work made and i take a bite...then i look at it...and there is a long blonde hair curled up in it :-( needless to say i swiftly threw it in the bin and now i have been put off food at least until tonight....tonight martin and i are going to frankie and bennies (i know..i know) for his brothers 5th birthday.
we got him this MASSIVE incredible Hulk toy that goes 'RAAHHHH' when you press it's chest haha. it's awesome. Mart got a 33% discount too cuz we got it from boswells and he used to work there and luckily still knows some of the old boys that work there so they gave him a discount.

we also went to the fair and i got my candy apple, candy floss and donuts. it was good times :-)

i just brought the wilkinsons 'nothing but love' cd on amazon.co.uk for 0.01p BWAHAHA! I remember melissa and i used to listen to it back in highschool when we were going through our country music phase haha. psshh..still like a bit of country music. can't deny myself a lil conway twitty every now and then. ohh and loretta lynn. mmm louisania woman! mississippi man!

i got a random package from amazon today :-) but i think i know who it's from (but i have NO IDEA what it is) and im gonna leave it unopened until my birthday next month. Woo!!

seeing gym class heroes on the 20th...their new music sucks so much but it's on a saturday night and that means we can stick around for the club afterwards so yaaay!!

the weather is horrible (as usual) but i don't care because this afternoon i'm still going to St Giles Fair in oxford and buying all their hot cinnamon donuts. they're soo good. and cheap. wont be going on any rides cuz it's raining and they're ridiculously overpriced but wooo..DONUTS!

i've decided to have a house party for my b'day in Oct. I bet only a few ppl will show up but it'll still be fun. I reckon all the boys can sit in the annex and play super nintendo and us girls can sit in the conservatory and drink sparking rose and listen to music. then we're gonna go the zodiac because let's face it...there is no where good in Oxford to go besides the zodiac. last saturday we went out to town for a few drinks and all we did was sit in a few cocktail bars (two actually)..then went home. it was hardly eventful. i woulda picked the Z over that any day. Tis nice to have a few quiet drinks somewhere i suppose though isnt it?

again..here's my amazon wishlist bwhaha: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/registry/3PDK6G4W2MUUM boo-ya! i'm always adding stuff to it :-)

donna will be proud to know i brought some wheat/gluten free food today and it tastes exactly the same as normal food haha only more expensive, but better for you. i brought some crispbread and i had it with vegemite for lunch and it was wonderful! now im eating strawberries.

blah. the rain is really starting to fall now. i wish it would just go away :-( martin and i are off to dundee/edinburgh next month and if it rains for that i'll be most upset!

bai for now.

Donna Taylor...Always bringing the LOLz [Aug. 27th, 2008|04:51 pm]

Enjoy our Eastenders conversation today: (about last nights episode mainly)

Donna:

easties was a bit annoying, dawn talks so slow all the time and she's really quite sickly, the way she goes on about loving jase. they've not been together that long and he's kinda gross looking and grimy and greasy. idk. it's just weird, i can't see them together really and i imagine she'll fall into the willing arms of gary and they'll fall romantically in love. why do they all just date people on the square? that never happens in real life lol, you get sick of the people you see everyday. and billy is such a tard, i kidna feel honey could try and share the work responsibility instead of suffocating billy under expectation and stress. i'm not surprised the poor guy got desperate and went with the break-in job. she's bartended and worked in the laundrette, if billy's having problems finding a job why doesn't she try ffs. pisses me off. especially when she wanted money for this and that. poor billy.

Beth:

Easties was RUBBISH..it just DRAGGED ON AND ON AND ON AND ON. I felt sorry for dawn though..having no one turn up to the hens do but then I felt sad for her because she kept wearing that ugly wedding dress and drinking pink champagne..it's like …dude..you paid like £1500 for that dress, I wouldn’t be drinking ANYTHING around it..or let anyone drink anything around me..bah..tis only acting though innit lol. I always wonder about easties why do they ALWAYS stay in the square..like you were saying about the dating thing. Like when they go out to dinner it's only ever the Vic, that posh place or that indian place. Or the caf. WHY DON’T YOU GO INTO LONDON TOWN FFS? I think bradley is the only character that doesn’t work in the square either lol YET he spends his lunch hour in the vic. LMAO. Sort it out easties!  Billy is weird looking. He looks like a skeleton. I think honey is really pretty though but yeah…she needs to get off her ass and do some fricken work. Put that disabled kid in a creche or something.  Same thing goes for Dawn…why is she hassling Jase about 'the perfect life' when she doesn’t get off her ass and help with the money making? What does she do anyway?

Donna:

LMAO i loved the whole indian family with their family business, who just ran it from their kitchen and didn't worry about, you know. hygiene standards hahahaha. what a rip off. i love how whenever someone goes off looking for a job it goes like this:

the vic
the caf
the laundrette
one of the market stalls (although they always seem to get strangers to watch them anyway)
the club
the quik-e-mart thing that yolande runs and patrick is too frickin' lazy to do anything with
then, oh well, the world is over, it's off to the vic for a pint with all the money they're not earning...

lmao. honey is gorgeous but omg, i know the whole storyline when janet was diagnosed with downs must have been realistic, and i'm not a fan of babies, but i wanted to slap her. i felt for billy, that baby is adorable, who cares if she's a little less than perfect, who's to say what IS perfect. i wanted to smack her around bigtime and cause that woman serious damage for wanting to give a mentally handicapped child up for adoption just because she wasn't *perfect*. holy cow did i hate it then, i actually stopped watching it around that time. i stopped watching it when keif and his gross wife were still in it. benefit scroungers.

i think dawn is a full time mummy and ponces around in her house in stilettos and a nice frock. just a question, do you ponce around your house dressed up like you're going to a movie premiere and clump around in high heels constantly. it's so unrealistic. why aren't any of them complaining when someone's done a poo and stuck out the bathroom? where are bare feet and socks? and why do people pay for a taxi into london when they're in fooking walford and could get there on the tube for like, £2.50 i think it is. cab costs ten squid. ridiculous. why is peggy always going away for a "nice relaxing break" when she does jack all? lol. /rants.

----------------

lol love her!!
