We found a huge tumour in Adele's chest. And it has to come out - either surgically or chemically. We'll be doing a biopsy first to establish the cell type.
First things first - it's highly UN-likely to be malignant. If it was, Adele would have been taken a long time ago. But there are going to be challenges associated with the reduction/removal of it. And of course there are usual risks.
And just so you know - we're really OK. Our mood's kinda up and down at the same time. Yes it is a very challenging situation but at the same time, we've been blessed in so many ways in terms of the circumstances leading up to this (you'll have to hear about those in another post).
Adele is at SGH. She can't take visitors (post SARS and now Bird Flu precautions), but she'd love the virtual "hey there" on the good old SMS (if you know her number, you know what to do). She's also asked that I print out all of the posts that may come in response to this - so please feel free.
Most importantly - what we really would like are your prayers.
Please tell her I'm sending her my love, strength and prayers. (you too for that matter)
She will be in my prayers each day.
Much strength to you guys..
Adele, you were on my mind alot today, and now I know why. I love you girlie, when you need strength just reach out and take some of mine ok? I'll talk to you soon, and we'll laugh about the Wiggles again :) xoxoxoxo!!
YIKES. *big hugs for Del* What a nasty surprise! But I'm glad they caught it, so they can get rid of it and you'll be all well again. Wish I could visit and bring you cheng tng and roti john! (and bai nian also, hehe...)
In the meantime, if you want a good book to read while cooped up in bed, I recommend anything by Bill Bryson, particularly Notes From A Small Island and Neither Here Nor There. If you've already read them, then I shall try to think of more ways for you to amuse yourself... apart from endless round of Bounce on the handphone! ;-)
get well soon, dear. We'll all be thinking of you.
oh my....I'm so shocked Jo, be assured my and Judy's prayers will be with you. We pray that she is ok and the biopsy results are good!
I'm glad to hear your both keeping in high spirits and I know how difficult that must be. I guess you never know what surprise life has around the corner for you.
There's not really much I can say other than our thoughts and prayers will be with Adele, yourself and the kids in this difficult time
I'm really sorry to hear this. I'm glad though that you're all feeling alright, and that things look hopeful. Is it within the ribcage? Or in her breast? Adele, Joe, you and your whole family will be in my and James's prayers; I pray that He watch over all of you at this time, and for strength and peace.... And may you know just how loved you all are...
You are absolutely in our thoughts... George, Edward, Suzanne and I will all take moments to wish with all of our hearts for your well being.
You've been such a wonderful friend these past years and I absolutely demand that you get better so we can carry our friendship into the distant future.
I am holding you to the notion of showing us the beauty of Singapore when we can find a way to travel there!!
Thank you Joe, for taking the time to communicate this info. :D
Take care Adele! And Joe and Kids too! I'll defintiely be praying for you. Please do not lose heart and be strong. And let us know when we can visit ok?
