Okay, I made a banner for ljlayouts.org and spent 23942390 hours trying to make a layout for it. The fucker, I have another layout made for the site, but I've decided to hate it. Phill helped me with the color schemes since I couldn't make up my mind.
This is how I made the banner, using Paint Shop Pro 7 (CLASSIC :OOOO), well the different layers. So yeah, only rule is to not take the banner and tweak any of the steps to make a thing of your own. Just demonstrating the steps so you can start understanding it, or trying the same thing on your own stuff. XD Bah, I'm sure everyone knows the drill here. And would you look at that, I did the usual Rebecca thing and made a typo on it. Oh well.
Original Image
File > New > width: 559, height:258, background:transparent
Layer 1: 100% Normal
Fill - #C0C0C0
Layer 2: 82% Burn
beforehand- Resize the orginal image to 80% then place in layer.
Original Wolf Image
Duplicate Layer 2: 92% Burn
Original Wolf Image
Duplicate Layer 2 (second time): 49% Dodge
Original Wolf Image
Layer 4: 100% Difference
Fill - #0A3172
Layer 6: 85% Overlay
Text - Lainie Day - vector - 20pt - black - White or black, I depart beyond you
Text - Apple Garamond - vector- 20pt - black - with the hope to change destiny... (custom size)
Text - Apple Garamond - vector - 48pt - black - ljlayouts.org
Text - Japanese - vector - 24pt - black - ;
Layer 7: 100% Normal
Text - Courier New - vector - 6pt - black - although in the body the soul blazes
in the darkness the distance becomes infinite
Text - Courier New - vector - 6pt - black ljlayouts.org - verson boxed in
Final Product:

Also, I've downloaded all of Wolf's Rain OST 2 thanks to AnimeMP3s.org. Which I find them all nice and soothing. Need a new layout, need to finish layouts, need new icons which I will do right now. :O And yes, I've conformed to the recent trend of layers and different blend modes. It's nice, I need a trend to keep me sane so to speak..
