Sale?

Desperate times...

It is december already, and I still don't know when I'll be able to do what I was planning for august, namely, buy those 4 japanese video games I really want (Dragon Quest IV, V and VII, and Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy in Itadaki Street Special).

I am temporarily giving up the american versions of Dragon Quest VIII, Kingdom Hearts 2, and X-Men Legends 2 so I can get these games, because if I let them go now, it'll be impossible to get them later.

But even so, at the rate I'm going, it'll be february and I will not have got even one of them.

That's why I thought of a desperate measure, only available to my contacts (that is, all of you who actually check this place).

I am placing my drawings for sale. The ones I still own, I mean.

I usually like to keep everything I do, even if I've given one or two of the pics away, but now I'm willing to part with them for the greater good.

I'm not good with prices, but I know someone who'll kill me if they are too low, so let's say... From US$25 to US$40, depending on the selected illustration.

I'll be surprised if anyone even shows interest, but hey, anything to get my hopes of buying my games a little higher.

I might even do a comission or two. I am not sure, because that takes more time than I may have this month (what with pastorela rehearsals and travels to visit my family).

In case I actually accepted a comission, it'd most likely be a Marvel or Dragon Quest (or a Squaresoft game) pic. And of course we'd have to agree on a special price.

Any new pics will have to wait until a certain present is finished.

Don't forget amigo, anytime you sell one, this is you getting paid for art. As in, something to put on a resumé. Push that website and get yourself out of IT before it is too late.

You could contact EA Games and competitors, offering yourself as a freelancer. From what I hear, that is really all there is to it. You contact places and offer yourself as a freelancer, and if they dig your style, they will call you next time they need an awesome manga-style illustration for something...I believe in you man. Get out of IT!

I'm thinking of three different pricing categories, according to the picture's detail, and color, and complexity. Those would be $25, $32, and $40 (do you think those are okay?).

That one would belong in the last category, fetching the $40 price.

I don't have old e-mails, due to some troubles with the account a few months back (u_u)...

BTW, you were the chosen recipient of a special, unique offer. I am positive you must have received the e-mail with the details by now.

I don't have a PC, so it should be limited to paper drawings, not electronic media (u_u).

That is still doable I think, if you print a screen capture of the game demo, then draw things to scale and without much detail. I would go over the drawings with invisible blocks for walls, etc.

Okay, also wanted to add this. I know you said you aren't taking requests/commissions until you finish with the present drawing, but if you were ever to do a drawing of the DQ8 party I'd definately be interested in paying for it.

The Jessica pic with witch lady was donated to my comic book shop back in Torreon a few months ago, in return for favors received (like, storing my comics and giving me credit (n_n), no less).

You should really play X-Men Legends 2' It kicks butt! If you complete the game, you get to unlock Deadpool as a playable character.

I just remembered!

Since I do like Impulse and Young Justice, I may also be able to draw something from DC. Not just anyone, though.

There are no set rules for who from DC I would or wouldn't draw, except that anyone from Young Justice has a direct pass.

I won't draw Plastic Man, but then again, I'd draw Granny Goodness because I think she's cool enough. Ah, and no Hawk-People, please. Gar Logan is okay, but Jericho and Cyborg are an automatic no-no.

And there's no way I'll draw the Falcon! What? The Falcon is a Marvel character? Shit!
