One of my friends at SCAD is created a movie about the future mixing with the present. It's a lot of fun and I recreated one of his characters. I'm not sure what her name is, but she comes to the present to sleep with the main character so she can become famous. You have to see the whole thing to understand. I hope you enjoy her look!

Another busy week! I like being kept busy! Sadly, I'm running behind in some areas such as the sketchbook. I'm suppose to draw on it 30 minutes everyday for my Drawing in Motions class. And I think I've sat down and drawn about... hmmm.... 0 minutes. yep. Haven't even started. Guess what I'm going to be doing this weekend!!!!
AND midterms are next week, so CRUNCH TIME!
Comp-generated Modeling/Design
Dutch Still Life
Placed in the back burner. I have to have at least some process in the chess set, so I'm focusing on that now.
Nurbs Car
I need to redo a couple of areas... well, 90% of the car really. Turns out a car isn't a puzzle. You have to create the body, and the chop of the parts (like the wheel/door/hood). So i have to start from semi-scratch!
Chess Set
If you looked at my previous post, you can see that my Battle of the Sexes was turning too sexual. (bad bad!) So I'm sticking to something more safe. same theme though, but just different models.
Drawing in Motion
Rotoscoping project. I worked on it, but have to images of it. I have so far 30 out of 150 frames. I am using indian ink to draw the figures. It's fun but it takes about 8-10 minutes for each frame. At this rate, it will take about 25 hours to complete. So far the 30 frames is causing my back to spams since i'm slouching so much! *
*need to exercise more
Animation II
This time we did a Run Cycle! I got complimented. Couldn't believe it. The next project is going to be with a full figure. 0.0; i thought the legs were complicated, i can't imagine the whole body! should be a challenge! ^_^

This is terrible in a hilarious kind of way....
I'm creating the first pieces of the chess set. I decided to do Yin and Yang. The teacher said I should stick with items that interlock to represent male and female.
I thought it would be a great idea to have the ball which is black be part of the black piece. They will interlock and the ball will be 'part' of the white. (and vice versa).

I decided that this would be a great place to show my progress in some of my pieces that I'm working on... specifically 3D!
In my call Comp-generated Modeling/Design, I have to design:
a) a chess set with a theme
b) Dutch Still Life
c) Car with Nurbs
My Progress:
a) I picked out my theme!!
BATTLE OF THE SEXES
Now I just have to figure out if I want powerful female/male figures of the past, symbols that represent male/female, so on. I'm aiming for symbols because they are easier to model. XD
Symbols suck as: spear vs chalice, moon vs sun, ying vs yang, male/female bathroom sign,....
any other suggestions would be wonderful!
b) I have pictures!
And here is what I've done so far... This about 12 hours of work (I think).
Got a long ways to go... but I've accomplished a great deal!
c) Nurbs car
Yeah... no. I'm not going to enjoy this at all. All the guys are talk talk talk about the cars they are going to make. I could give a rats @$$ about a car. but i have to make it... So i picked a Audi TT, which previous students told me its the easiest car to model. so there we go!
I haven't started so nothing to show!

Since I'm in vacation (for only a couple more days... :( ) I've completed some new pictures!
One is a gift art to someone I promised a long time ago... but I can't remember who it is. Only thing I remember is they were from DA and they wanted a horse. I can't remember!!!! Must be old age.... XD

vacations have arrived so i'm spending some quality time with my folks. they live in FL. FL = sun.
They just recently moved to a new house. to my horror, i woke up the next day with over 15+ little bumps that itched.... which means the house is infested with fleas. my parents don't get bothered by them for some unknown and aggravating issues, because i have to show them my flea bites and they still can't believe it.
then they said they were not planning to put a screen around the back porch. why bother? No mosquitoes. I sat there for about twenty minutes, and my legs are covered by huge welts.... = mosquito bites.
ack! i'm itching everywhere!!!
dad took us to one of his friend's boat... it was a cloudy day and not very hot, especially with the cool winds caused by the boat. well, i come home, take off my shorts and shirt....
I AM FRIED!! i look ridiculous! nothing like the center part of your body is pale while the rest is red... i looked so ridiculous!! :~(
and it hurts, and i itch. that has been the start of my vacation.
no worries. i'm having a great time! fishing (even though we didn't catch anything) is still fun. just the boat ride alone is a blast! as for fleas, i've been using boroc acid all over the floor and vacuuming it up. so far, i'm gained three new bits. a huge improvement to the 15+!!
that is so far my two weeks vacation.
I hope everyone is having a good time too!

i can't believe it. it's been 9 weeks since i last updated! ack!!
sorry everyone for the loooong break from LJ. Grad school is a full time job, especially this place! Yikes!! and someone poked me! i guess that's a sign that i have been absent for a while.....
the reason why i have time to write is because today is that last day of school! so i'm packing my stuff and moving back to FL for two weeks and then i'll be back for the summer! so you may not hear me from a while again. ;_; please forgive me!
anyway, i've worked on Art History since 1960 (i'm not very good at remembering names or dates.... so yeah. history is a real struggle.)
I also took 2d animation, which, like walking, is a slow way of getting nowhere. so i definitely will not do 2D in my computer. 3d all the way.
and my 3d modeling class. you can see my 2.5 months of work at my DA account!

Hi everyone!
this is the first LJ coming from my new home away from home...
Savannah College of Art and Design!
can't believe i am finally here. i can't believe classes start on monday. so much crazy stuff has happened.
as i was driving (a 5 hour trip from orlando), my adviser calls and tells me several good news.
1) i have a place to live in. I wasn't sure for a while. i was planning to stay in a hotel until it was figured out. well, my adviser figured it out for me and told me i can pick up my keys. ^_^ score!!
2) since i turned in a new portfolio with my most current work for review, SCAD has given me a fellowship!! WOOT!! $3,000 a year! (it really isn't that much since a year cost about $33,000). but its 3k that i don't have to worry about paying!! WOOOT!!
3) since my new portfolio was much improved, i no longer have to take some prerequisites. i had to take about 9 classes which is basically a year just feeling prerequisites. now i only have to take 4!! which means i can do three this quarter and during the summer i can take another one and VOILA!! its a huge savings cost! i'm really glad cause it turned my 3.5 years of debt into 2.5. XD i'm very excited about this!
so there you go.
haven't met my roommate. she seems really nice. we'll see! (please don't snore!)
orientation is tomorrow at 8:30 am. (a forsaken hour). at least the location is only about a block away. :)

but today...
is my LAST DAY ON THE JOB!!
woot!!
except i like my job.... so its sad.
yesterday was my good bye lunch. it was yummy. and they gave me presents. books about savannah! hehehe! that cracks me up!
after work i went took my relatively heavy box to my room and i dropped it. somehow my eye got on the way and BANG. so it looks like my bf beat me.
my co-worker said 'if you look like that, then i can't imagine what your boyfriend looks like!'
