Terms and Conditions
You are welcome to use and disseminate any of the original publicly accessible material in my journal, according to the copyright terms specified under my Creative Commons license, unless I've specifically noted otherwise. Basically, you don't need to ask me first, or even notify me, providing it is not for commercial use, although I do ask that you give me due credit, preferably linking back to the original in web media. You're also welcome to modify what you've used, providing you grant others the same right to modify your derivations. You must obtain my permission before exceeding these terms.

Those of you who have access to the restricted work, please note that I reserve all rights to this material. If I've placed filters on something, it's for a reason. I'll be very disturbed if I find anyone has distributed any of this material without my express permission.

I restrict access to material for one of two reasons: either a) because it includes details of other people's lives, and I want to ensure that their privacy is preserved, or b) because it includes details of my personal life, that I don't want let loose into the public domain.

Generally speaking, anyone on my friendslist has access to material in category a). Category b) material is protected by one of a series of three increasingly restricted filters; I use them as much to respect the sensibilities of others as to protect my privacy, since some of material in question is fairly salacious.

If you would like access to material to any of the above restricted material, drop me a note via email or a comment in my journal, explaining what you want access to and why (and why I should give it to you; generally I will, so long as I consider you trustworthy).

I've tried to ensure that all unorginal work is clearly marked as such, and cited the sources wherever possible. The rights to such work remain those of the owners.

*reaches out a soothing hand*

I perhaps should have added that there is also a third category, of private correspondence, that no one but me and my correspondees will ever have access too.

Category a) above is stories I relate that include details of other peoples lives, rather than private conversations.

You can relax. (Oh, Mu, do you really think I'd betray trust like that?)

That said, I guess it's worth noting that, generally speaking, you won't be able to tell which filter I have a particular thread on, so if you absolutely want to guarantee a private line, you're better to mail me.

I've recently started locking down a fourth category of material: that pertaining to my novel-in-progress. I'll be but unbelievably fucked off if anyone I've granted access to this does anything untoward with it; I'll come sue yer ass. Talk about betrayal of trust.

Read it, by all means. Use it to generate your own stuff, by all means. Just don't swipe it or I'll have to kill you.

Welcome, Steven, to my rather weird and wonderful world.

I'm kinda surprised we don't have any LJfriends in common, given that I'm always fairly ready to add locals for the that reason alone.

(Lovely icon, by the way, is that your own work?)

And welcome to you too, Kate. :)

There are three other Wellingtonians on my f-list (and have been since before I moved down this way): [info]sun__king, [info]notyourgirly, and [info]deuxmoulins - so, one name I recognise on your f-list is [info]starlajo as she has those three listed as well.

Well I took the photo, I'm not sure I'd call it work. It was at the school I used to work at in Hamilton and one of the digital cameras was newish, and I was going to be showing a teacher (and/or their class) how to use it the next day, so I snapped a few shots to practise with, and that one turned out okay (so I guess it was work).
