9/26/08 09:25 pm - Something entirely different

I took part in a shoot a couple of weeks ago, for which my old friend and housemate from a few years ago agreed to be MUA. I have decided that I now need Leila with me on every shoot! I have never managed to get so many different looks in on one shoot before! Here are a few;

This is the "just stepped off the set of Dallas" look:

It's amazing what a wig can do! )

This weekend I am taking a well deserved rest from modelling and am attempting to do the social thing instead, so that's probably me offline for the weekend. :) Ta ta!

9/15/08 07:58 pm - Pamper'd

I thought I'd post a few images from the shoot I did a couple of months ago with Pam of www.slipland.net. I found Pam wonderfully easy to work with, and I was quite intrigued by the idea of her website, which is based on vintage slips and includes a soft fetish section for those who find little glimpses of slip erotic.

As well as modelling for her with some pretty good feedback from the website users, I've also volunteered to start writing for the site and submitted my first short story to her yesterday, although it probably wont go up for a while.

Here is a selection of some of the shots I did at my shoot with Pam;

More pretty dresses and slips )

I'm also collaborating with Pam this coming weekend, as I shall be assisting her in a demonstration at the Guild of Erotic Artists. I have yet to be completely briefed, but what she has told me sounds interesting and I'm really looking forward to it!

9/2/08 05:19 pm - Tim Rosier

Despite my best intentions to try and put more time into this livejournal, I still let it lapse for a week or two. I thought I'd post up another picture entry though, as I'm very excited about some of the initial pictures that I've received from my shoot last Saturday with TimR. Another model friend recommended me to him; I think I owe her dinner!

I went into the shoot mainly wanting some more art nude pictures, as it was a bit of a weak point on my portfolio. While I am really really pleased with the nude shots we did, I also came away with some fantastic portrait, glamour and fashion shots. I'll leave the nude shots for my net-model folio and my nearly completed website, but here are a few of the others;

Some of these are very pretty but not work safe! )

In other news, my website is more or less online, although I still need to send content to MarcinGFX, who is kindly hosting it for me! Think I'll be getting on with that tonight and hope to be able to post a link up soon. :)

8/18/08 06:47 pm - The Magnificent MarcinGFX

I really cannot find enough nice things to say about this photographer. I had a second shoot with him last weekend, and the initial set of images arrived today. I cannot believe how lovely they are (even without any fairy wings or monsters photoshopped in!), especially given how short a time he's been photographing models. Marcin is definitely a name to look out for in future!

The shoot itself is in a ruined church which is a few minutes' drive from where I grew up and is supposedly haunted. We didn't capture any ghosts, although he promised faithfully to shop some in later! Here is a selection of my favourites from the day (although choosing favourites was definitely difficult this time!)

A few more )

This aside, my diary seems to be filling up. I have a few more photoshoots coming up with over the next couple of weeks, which should keep me out of trouble. I have also become a member of the Guild of Erotic Artists and hope to be a bit more active on that front. Watch this space. :)

8/12/08 07:03 pm - Oh dear!

I am ashamed of myself! I have been modelling more or less continuously since my last entry in September 2007, but have simply been too lazy to log out of my personal journal at [info]frozen_wishes in order to log into this one and upload any new pictures. It doesn't help that I have more friends on my personal blog I suppose, so I might have to go on a friending spree in order to balance things out!

To sum up life generally, I am currently back in my hometown of Northampton for a spell, although I hope to return to Brighton in the near(ish) future. I spend my time mainly catching up with friends and family, trying to learn juggling tricks, reading a lot of books and re-discovering 90s music, much to my parents' chagrin! I'm also loving my regained proximity to proper woodland and am going blackberry picking tomorrow for the first time in YEARS, mainly so I can impress my friends with a blackberry based dessert at a dinner party, and also because I can't resist scrambling around in scruffy clothes and getting covered in mud. :)

Anyway, here is a small sample of what I've been up to for the last eleven months!

A very recent one, taken on Sunday and received today. I've had two shoots with this Marcin so far and think he's wonderful. :)

Cut so I don't take up your entire friends page with a MASSIVE picture heavy entry! )

Well, I hope it was worth the wait! I am going to try and be more active on this journal in future, as it seems a shame to waste it. I also have a website under construction, so I expect I'll shortly be posting a link up and pestering people into banner swapping with me! :)

Lots of love

9/23/07 06:50 pm - Crawling out of the woodwork

After quite a long break, I've decided to start taking up modelling again: mostly for fun as there's a ton of other things I need to start focusing on - such as my long-term ambition to own a trampoline for example. I figured I might as well have some fun along the way, however. :) In short, I'm still in Brighton and have no plans on moving anytime soon. I've taken up ballet in an attempt to give myself arthritis by the time I'm 30, but it's helping to keep me fit for now.

Anyway, here's a sample of what I've been up to since the last update:

Wow, more there than I thought there would be. :) I have a few upcoming shoots over the next few months: hopefully I'll have more to post up here soonish.

11/12/06 09:21 pm - Zombies and woods and dirt and stuff

Since last updating, I went to a zombie group shoot in New Milton. It seems to be one of the manifestations of Murphy's Law that I always end up doing my location shoots when it's cold. If by some freak chance I get a shoot in summer, I seem to end up throwing myself into the sea or something.

Well, despite being silly enough to wear skimpy clothing and freezing myself into an attractive shade of blue, the shoot was lots of fun and I got to work with some lovely models and photographers. The photos I've had back so far are from LightnDarker.

10/31/06 02:22 pm - Happy Halloween!

I'm starting to think I could make a career out of being a temp - it seems to be the only thing that I'm both good at and that I seem to do on a regular basis! That said, however, the agencies haven't managed to find me work for this week as of yet, and I am currently sat at home very very bored. What I need is a diversion, but the only activity which is currently diverting me is sitting on the sofa watching the internet. Not healthy.

Still, it's Halloween/Samhain - officially my favourite day of the year. I need to go out in a bit to get the ingredients for a pumpkin stew (I'm going to attempt a recipe which is baked in the shell of a pumpkin!). HOpefully some fresh air will do me good... We're also going out to a ghostwalk with some good friends of ours, which will give me some exercise as well. Can't wait! :)

a real ghost story for Halloween! )

Soo... enough about me. Has anybody else on here ever seen (or heard) a ghost?

10/5/06 09:18 pm - What would life have been like if I hadn't discovered eyeliner???

I had a photoshoot the other day in order to get some decent headshots for acting purposes. I didn't want to look at all alternative, and basically set the makeup artist loose on me. Luckily we managed to fit in some fun stuff as well as the boring headshots, which means I have some nice pictures of my new hair in order to update my modelling portfolio.

It's a bit scary to see me with a completely different image, however!

a couple more here )

7/18/06 07:36 pm - I think I'm turning into a Brightonian!

I just got in today to find another CD arrived from the Brighton group shoot. Strangely, I've spent the last hour or so in the sea for the first time since the shoot!

These ones are from Geetee

another one, and a couple from other photographers )

7/5/06 11:57 am - Wibble

I feel like I should update because I neglect this journal terribly... not a lot's been going on though. I've sold my soul to a typewriter for cold hard cash again, but luckily it's only temporary. Our flat is starting to look habitable - well, the so-called bedroom is still untamed, but one day we hope to make it into some form of study as we've got used to sleeping on the sofa bed!

I'm starting to organise all those shoots I've been putting off because of the move - pity they're all in Yorkshire and we're currently carless, but at least I love public transport - no really! I like nothing better than a long train ride with my ipod. :)

Anyway, here's another shot from the Brighton Group Shoot. This one's by Photodeviant.

6/21/06 08:15 pm - Matt Miller

Thanks to everyone for the response on the last picture. Will definitely put up some more from that shoot, once we've received the CDs, but for now I've decided to put up some photos from the shoot with [info]matt_the_viking. Not sure how long it will take Photobucket to take a couple of them down, but decided to put them up anyway. :)

avert eyes, cover ears and hum loudly now )

6/18/06 10:11 pm - Brigton Group Shoot

[info]raven_blood has sort of stolen my thunder on this one, but I can't resist posting this up for the people who aren't on his friends list. :)

This was taken londonsam shortly after I threw myself into the sea fully dressed. Couldn't resist. ;P

The photos I've seen so far have all been fantastic and I have a feeling I will be putting up many more from this over the next couple of weeks once I get sent the images.

6/4/06 02:42 pm

We finally have internet access at home! Obviously I haven't really been able to check this at work (which has been in a legal firm) due to the content, so I hope I haven't missed anything on my friends list.

Things are going quite well in Brighton, although we've had to curtail our social life until we both got jobs. Luckily, that situation seems to have sorted itself out now, and we've managed a couple of nights out. The metal scene here is amazing. Not managed to make it to a goth night yet, but I'm sure I will. :)

Anyway, I've been dying to put up this particular piece by [info]decline_gothica since he put it up on his journal, but as mentioned above, I've had to be careful about what I did online. This is definitely my favourite photo from my shoot with him - hope you like. :)

5/14/06 12:25 pm

Might be offline for a bit as we move to Brighton in two days. I'm really looking forward to it, although being in imminent danger of getting crushed by stacks by boxes is not much fun...

Back soon!

I'll update more when Desperate Housewives isn't on! ;)

4/20/06 10:07 pm - Ready Teady Death

It's been a few weeks now, but I've been dying to put these photos up. Technically it was [info]raven_blood and Thamiel_Kain's shoot, but as I had no work that week and I love being plied with sake and Japanese food working with Fozzie, I decided to tag along.

These pictures were probably my fault: I seem to have earned the reputation of being nasty to teddies. I can't think why.. I mean, just look at how well me and MissBearHaving were getting on...

Send your small children away now )

On a completely different note, I'm off to Whitby Goth Weekend tomorrow. Quite looking forward to catching up with some friends and spending far too much time and money in pubs. It's also my and [info]raven_blood's one year anniversery, and as we got together at Whitby, it should be quite romantic for us. We probably wont make the mistake of trying to snatch a quiet moment in the graveyard at 5.30 in the morning again, however - as we found out last year, some goths do not sleep! :)

4/14/06 02:03 pm - Happy Good Friday!

My big bit of news for today is that we were finally able to hand in the notice for our house yesterday. This means we'll be moving in less than two months! We're still not entirely sure where we're going, but we've been focussing recently on flats in Brighton. After having a hunt around on the web, I've found that Brighton definitely has the advantage over York for nightlife: and it also means travelling to London is affordable, so I can work with all the brilliant southern photographers I keep seeing! :)

Anyway, although I seem to have quite a dearth of photos, I thought I would put this one by [info]davecharlsley up first, as it's quite an interesting one. The model I'm leaning on is [info]raven_blood, who now has a profile on Dark Arts! I should be putting up a few more brilliant photos from [info]davecharsley over the next month or so - watch this space. :)

4/6/06 07:19 pm - Playing with dolls

This is from quite a recent photoshoot I did with Paul O'Reilly: great tog with his own wardrobe and plenty of ideas. His wife, Sanja, bought a doll from a flea market and gave her a makeover so she would look a bit more like me - they've decided to call her Araminta, which I'm rather flattered by! :)

3/30/06 05:40 pm - It's not easy being green...

I've finally got permission to put up photos from what was possibly one of the most fun shoots I've ever done! These are by Scott Sawyer, who travelled over from the US at the end of last year. I think the funniest part about this shoot was walking into the Hilton in York looking more or less normal... and walking out looking like Grotbags. A very entertaining tog with lots of ideas - I'd recommend him if anyone gets the chance to work with him! :)
