    87/88/89 Tri-Sectionals Info
    Hello all!

The first ever 87/88/89 tri-sectional conference will be held the weekend of November 2-4, 2007 at Alpha Delta Eta chapter at UAlbany. All are invited to attend.

Cost will be $35 and includes banquet, t-shirt, glassware, workshops, etc. All the usual conference stuff. The theme is "Saved by the Service" and is 80s-themed. All guests are encouraged to "dress the part."

Registration packets will be going out soon. Chapters and staff should receive them by the end of the month.

The official conference email address is 87.88.89.fall.07.conference(at)gmail.com. Feel free to ask any questions or leave any comments there. The chapter website is still being updated, I'll post as soon as it is.

If anybody would like to host a workshop, please email me (at the above address).

    See you all in November!!

    First Ever 87/88/89 Tri-Sectionals Question!
Hey! I have a quick question I was hoping someone here could help me with! My school just let us know that to get funding for members of my chapter to go to Sectionals, we need Albany to send us an "official" e-mail confirming the conference dates (because they won't believe us? Silly, I know...) and a price quoth or reasonable estimate of the price per person for attending sectionals.

I have sent an e-mail on behalf of my chapter to the general Albany e-mail as well as their conference e-mail, but I was wondering if there's another way I can try to contact them in case we haven't heard from them by the time we need our answer. We're worried because we found out so last minute and we need the info by Tuesday night the latest.

    Thank you in advance!

    Gamma's 80th Birthday!
    Hello fellow brothers!

As you may or may not know, Gamma chapter, the longest continually running chapter in APO, is celebrating it’s 80th anniversary and we would love it if you could join us for this celebration!

***THE EVENTS LISTED WILL BE ON SATURDAY, APRIL 21ST!*** Sorry I forgot to mention this the first time I posted, showing how silly I can be....

Here is a list of some of the events we will be having throughout the weekend that we would love to see you guys at!

    Speaker Event

This event will be at Kauffman Auditorium in Goldwin Smith, and the tentative schedule is as follows:

    2:45 Introduction
    3:00 Speaker 1
    3:20 Speaker 2
    3:40 Speaker 3
    4:00 Q&A
    4:20 Networking (mingling)

This event will be open to the Cornell public, and the topic will be how leadership skills and other skills that are not directly related to school come into play in the real world. For speakers, we will be having some of our very own alumni : )

    Formal Dinner

The banquet will be held at Ramada Inn, and the schedule is as follows:

6:30pm: Guests start to arrive, and the bar is open.

7pm: The food is served. (Dinner buffet: Fruit salad, Cucumber dill salad, Tossed spinach salad, Green beans almondine, Oven roasted potatoes, Chicken marsala, Top sirloin fillets and a vegan dish)

9:30pm Closing of the event (and the bar closes.)

While the speaker event is free, the cost of attending the dinner will be $35 per person, and there will be a cash bar as well!

We’re also looking into having some big name speakers come, but I’ll leave who as a surprise, at least until we get confirmations ; )

If you would like to attend, please RSVP to the event as soon as possible, and send checks (for if you attend the dinner) to Box 26 Willard Straight Hall; Cornell University; Ithaca, NY 14853 by March 20. When you are writing the check, please specify that it's for the formal dinner (since we’re also offering baby sitting services for our alumns and staff so this will help us keep track). Also please RSVP to Jess Park, jp357@cornell.edu, with what chapter you’re from and specify whether you are a brother, pledge, or staff (we want to keep track of who’s who ; ) ) and your contact info!

Thank you for reading this post, and I hope many of you can join us in our celebration! It’s going to be a lot of fun and, as I get more info, I’ll relay it to you ; )

    Johanna

    SUNY Cortland Chartering Ceremony
    Brothers,

It is my distinct honor and duty to invite you to the SUNY Cortland Chartering Ceremony. Please join us as Section 89 welcome's it's newest chapter on December 10, 2007 at 12:30 pm. The Chatering will take place on the campus of SUNY Cortland at the Corey Union, tentatively we are slated to be in the Fireside Lounge.

There is plenty of parking available along the campus streets or also there is a paid parking lot diagonally across from the Corey Union.

Additionally SUNY Cortland will be celebrating their Alpha Class Pledge ritual around 4 pm.

This is an excellent opportunity to support our goal as a fraternity to have "more students, on
more campuses, doing more service!" I have personally been able to see this latest petitioning and I can honestly say I am eagerly awaiting the chapter's future.

I look forward to seeing you at SUNY Cortland!

I remain, humbly, yours in Leadership, Friendship, and SERVICE,

    Help!
Hi, we at Chi Pi Chapter are selling Niagara Chocolate bars for the March of Dimes. They are a dollar each.

We have Orange, Mint, Caramel, Crispy, Peanut Butter, Toasted Almond, and Milk Chocolate.

The brothers and pledges heading to Phi Sectionals will be selling them there, so be ready with some money for yummy candy and helping babies!

I will personally have two boxes. If you want to reserve any (specific flavors?) and you WILL be at sectionals, let us know! Thanks!

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Assassin
Ok, so I've been dying to know.

Can anyone please tell me who my assassin was supposed to be at Regionals? Or tell me who CAN tell me? I don't think I was even threatened by anyone other than someone who was just trying to scare me! Please tell me?

    Free Tickets for Syracuse Concert
Hey all. I apologize for spamming this, but hopefully I'll get some takers.

I unfortunately have had to pull out of attending a concert with some friends who were driving up from NYC/Philadelphia, and they have three tickets-already paid- to see Default, Hinder, and Bif Naked at 9pm this evening at Club Tundra in Syracuse, NY. If you're interested, please give me (Noah) a call at three15.771.240eight. I'll give you the contact information you need to meet them at Tundra.

From the Frozen North a few of you have visited, aka Potsdam/Canton, thanks.
