The college students are beginning to come back to Sunnydale. Which means it's time for the Annual Back To School Sale. Of course Giles has gone back to England, so I can't count on him to help with the sale. Honestly, being possessed is nothing to be ashamed of, some of the times he's been knocked unconcious were more embarrassing than the almost causing another apocalypse was. Well, he was in some way responsible for almost causing one when Angel had that statue of Acathla from what Xander had told me. With the way some of the people around here throw responsibility around I guess I can see why Giles felt it was better to leave the country for a while.
I haven't seen much of Spike lately, either. There hasn't been a need for him to work as security at the shop, but now that the students are coming back shoplifting is bound to become rampant again. It would be nice if he could help with this sale as well. Not that his lack of attention to either me or the shop is surprising. I've been around long enough to know that this is typical behavior for men, no matter what species they are. It's all fun and games until a woman asks for a little support, then they suddenly have other things to do.
Perhaps I'll call Tara this afternoon and see if she'd be interested in helping me out with this sale. She's the only one besides Giles that I trust with the money anyway. She might be able to do something about these pesky Jais'n'ti demons that have been scurring around the basement, too. They keep the rodents from nesting down there, but they also like to eat some of the merchandise. I killed four of them this morning with my bat when I went down for more Raven's Feathers. Reminded me of the annual parties D'hoffryn used to throw; Lloyd always brought fried Jais'n'ti with pureed Blood Larva, it was D'hoffryn's favorite appetizer.

I don't know why Buffy's so surprised at the recent happenings around town. After all, this is the Hellmouth you know. Regardless of what she seems to believe, summer doesn't automatically mean no demon activity. I was a demon for over 1120 years, take it from me when I say that evil doesn't follow a nice neat schedule.
Although from the reports I read in the newspaper, I think it's more likely that these recent crimes were done by a human. Unless the man that looks like the ground beef at the supermarket was a victim of vengeance. No other self respecting demon would leave good meat just laying around like that out in the open. I told Buffy I'd see what the latest gossip is on the demon line, but not to expect much.
Business has been very well at the shop over the past few weeks. Mostly in part to one customer who's looking for some Mexican artifacts. He was willing to pay a lot of money if I could special order these things for him, so I spoke to a few of my contacts and was refered to Randall Cosmoe as the man to get the job done. Luckily he's a friend of Astraeia and her husband's, so when I heard about the grand re-opening of their bar and grill I made sure that Spike and I went. I was able to speak to Randall while Spike was having a few beers. Unfortunately we had to leave after a short time; Spike was getting looks from several of the other customers there and while I enjoy watching Spike fight I didn't want him to bust up Astraeia's new restaurant and bar on the opening night. I made it up to him later many times, and with Buffy calling on him to help patrol he was able to get his violence for the week in.

I don't understand why I am being chosen as the savior of people wanting to die lately. Is this my penance for accidentally killing Antonio? Now I must save all who wish to die by their own hand? Well, it's better than being locked up in a jail cell I guess.
First there was Spike, and I would've saved him anyway even if his was not exactly by his choice. He was influenced. Then there was the guy that wanted to meet with Buffy and Faith that one time. He collapsed in the doorway of the Magic Box and tried to die yesterday. Well, ok he did die, but I believe the doctors revived him later at the hospital. He took an overdose of medication apparently. At least he was nice enough to bring the bottle of medication along so the doctors knew what he had taken.
So far there have been no other people trying to die in front of me. I called Buffy last night and told her that the crazy guy that had hit her that one time tried to kill himself in my shop. She said she would look into it. Which is good, because I certainly don't want to. I've had enough of all this strangeness. I think I will take a bottle of Spike's favorite alcohol over to his crypt after work and get drunk with him. It's been far too long since we've had orgasms together, too.

Spike explained about his recent strange behavior. I knew that Riley returning here was going to cause trouble for him, I just didn't know how. Not like it was Riley that acted alone, but he helped that Robin person try to kill Spike. I believe Buffy will make sure it won't happen again.
I haven't been able to talk to Spike about Antonio yet. I don't know if he heard my confession through the door that one night or not, but he hasn't said anything if he has. I should go by his crypt after work today. I'm wondering if he wants to come back to work as well, since most of the butcher's shops have re-opened now.

It's a good thing I went to deliver some blood to Spike the other evening because I overheard that friend of Buffy's telling him that he'd do anything to end the pain if he were as guilty as Spike were. Well, I don't know how he judges people, but 120 years of mayhem and murder isn't very evil in my opinion. I'd hate to hear what he had to say about me if he knew I was an ex-vengeance demon.
I knew if Spike were seriously considering suicide that I wasn't strong enough to keep him from doing it, so I went to find Buffy. Luckily she keeps a fairly regular patrolling routine, I found her in the second cemetary I went to. That Robin was gone when we got back to Spike's crypt, but he was very distressed. He was talking all kinds of nonsense and trying to get Buffy and I to leave him, but we sat with him all night and tried to talk him out of it.
Just before the sun rose he started acting more like his old self. I thought perhaps it was a trick and that Buffy should chain him up but Spike started talking about how he'd been under the influence of something and he was pretty sure who was behind it. Well, that and any chaining up would have to wait until he got his coat back, whatever that means. I stayed with him all day just to be sure he was over wanting to kill himself, and when the sun set he told me to go home and he would explain things later. Which was fine with me, but he had better come over tonite and do that explaining.

Something's wrong with Spike. He wouldn't let me in the other night when I went to talk to him. In fact he held the door closed when I tried to get in anyway. I could hear him in there telling me that it was all wrong and he was sorry and that he wanted it to just stop. I tried to ask him what he was sorry about and he just said everything over and over. Oh, and something about Dru and innocent people. I think he was actually crying, too.
Well, I wasn't going to just leave him like that. I tried to talk to him through the door but he kept telling me to leave him alone because he didn't deserve to be helped. I even tried to look through the small windows on the side of the crypt but I couln't see anything.
After sitting at his door for half of the night, I realized he wasn't going to let me in. He must've been sitting against it on the other side, because when he got quiet I couldn't push it open. Finally I just told him about Antonio through the door. I'm not sure if he heard me or not, because he didn't respond.
Tonite I'm going to take him some blood now that Mr Anderson has re-opened his butcher shop. Maybe he'll talk to me then.

I tried to go by Spike's crypt last night. I've felt this strange need to confess about Antonio to someone and I think telling him would be the safest. After all, he has kept his word all this time about not telling anyone that I slept with Angelus last year. Besides, I think he would understand that it was an accident and not judge me for it. He's killed many humans in his lifetime, too.
When I got up to the door, I heard voices coming from inside. I was about to knock, but I recognized it as Riley's voice and not one of Spike's television programs. I was going to barge in because I don't trust Riley alone with Spike, but then I heard him telling Spike about vampires targetting tourists in hotels recently. Which means Antonio. I knew it was on the news as a murder victim with the usual suspects being gang members, but I didn't think Riley would be investigating it. I expect Buffy to have Willow hack into the coroner's computer and possibly try to stake him in the morgue before they ship his body back to Italy, but that should've been the end of it.
Except now Riley's looking into it, too. I'm sure I have nothing to worry about, it's not like Riley's that smart anyway. I also overheard him offering to pay Spike to look into it for him, too. Once Spike knows what really happened, maybe he'll be willing to tell Riley he found the vamps that did it and staked them. I just have to get to Spike before he gets out for the evening, so I'm closing the shop early and going over before the sun sets. Maybe then I'll feel better about this and the annoying desire to confess will go away.

Well, Spike no longer has to worry about Antonio trying to run him out of town or kill him. Because he's the one that's dead now. But it was self-defense, he got angry when I told him that I would find a way to stop him from harrassing Spike. He attacked me first, so that's self defense, right? I didn't mean to hit him on the head with that lamp so hard but he was pushing and shoving me and trying to get me to admit that I loved him and would leave Spike once I saw reason.
I only wanted to get away from him, not kill him.
I've been responsible for many men's deaths in the past, but never so directly. And I wasn't trying to kill him, I wasn't. If he hadn't of hit the nightstand on the way down, he might still be alive. I almost called 911, but he wasn't breathing and there was blood everywhere, including on me. I forgot how much a human can bleed, it never used to bother me, even when their entrails were wrapped around their throats and there was blood everywhere.
I almost called Giles, but he would tell me I had to call the authorities. Instead I wiped my prints and the blood off of the lamp and left, taking the room key with me. I made sure no one saw me leaving his room, and then went home and called one of my suppliers, Fahkir. He's a J'hahd demon, and while they're not especially violent types, the do cause enough mayhem to warrant a visit from the Slayer. After explaining my situation to him he agreed to help me dispose of the body.
We were going to poke holes in his neck using a BBQ fork to make it look like he had been bitten by a vampire and leave him on the docks, but there was already too much blood in the room. So instead Fahkir poked the holes in his neck there and destroyed the room to look like there had been a struggle. Which there had, but not between him and a vamp. A motel is a public place, so after I left Fahkir kicked the door in to make it more believable. The authorities will believe it was a vamp, therefore there will be no investigation. Yes, they'll report it as gang members on drugs and leave it at that.

The shop has been very busy today with last minute Beltane shoppers. I even sold that fertility goddess statue that I've had since last year. Hopefully all of the little wiccans will have everything they want by the time I close, or I may have to call Sam and let her know that I'll be late for our meeting this evening.
I still haven't found Antonio. Weasel, I know he's still here somewhere. This town isn't that big, there's not many places a human can hide themselves without getting eaten. He must be staying under a fake name. Well, I'll find him sooner or later and then he and I will have a long talk about staying away from Spike.

I went straight to Spike's crypt the other day after I got back from LA. When I got there, it was covered in crosses and there was holy water all over everything! Poor Spike had to hide out in some other crypt until I got back. Well, I cleaned that mess up right away, after giving him one of the container's of blood to drink. Although why he didn't just go and stay at my place is beyond me. Not like he doesn't know where I keep the spare key for the apartment.
Spike and I did some talking about who would do such a thing to him, and between that and the sudden closures of all the butcher's shops in town, we came up with one conclusion; Antonio. I thought for sure he'd left town after I sent his flowers back, but who else would want to make Spike's life so miserable? After all, Antonio did admit to me that he was the one sending the demons after Spike before.
I decided to go and talk to Buffy about it. She's the one that takes care of all of the evil in town, and while Antonio may not be evil exactly, he certainly needs to be taken care of. When I told her about everything that had been going on, she reminded me that she's the Slayer, and if Antonio's human there's nothing she can do about it.
Well, she may not be able to, but I can. I will not just sit by while Antonio continues to play these games with Spike. I'll track him down and let him know why I was the most feared vengeance demon for over 1100 years. And if that doesn't work? I'll call in a little vengeance of my own.

Well, this is a fine mess. Sure, we stopped another Apocalypse, but now Spike's even more in need of blood! I tried to kill the demons that went after him last night so he wouldn't have to exhaust himself, but there were too many of them and I had a hard enough time keeping them from killing me. Good thing that nice Robin was there to lend a hand, or we could've all been more seriously hurt. I wonder why Buffy hasn't snatched him up yet? He's very nicely shaped, I bet he'd be a good orgasm buddy for her.
So now Spike's laid up in his crypt trying to heal, and there isn't any place to buy blood in this damn town to speed up the process. It's been over a week since we've enjoyed orgasms together, and without any food for him I doubt he'll have me upside down and halfway to happy anytime soon.
Well, this has got to stop. Seeing as how I'm all bruised up thanks to that little weasel and his Apocalypse attempt, I'm not opening the shop until Friday. I'm not too bruised up to drive, however, so tomorrow I will go to LA and pick up a shipment of blood for Spike. Hopefully it will help him heal and hold him over until the butcher's re-open here in town.

I cannot believe all of the local butcher's shops have closed at the same time. Every single one of them in town is either closed for remodelling or closed while the owner takes a vacation. I tried to look through the windows of one that is supposedly closed for remodelling and I didn't see any sign of work being done in it. There was no permit in the window, either, and having been engaged to Xander I know that you cannot do any work without a permit.
Being part of the local Merchant's Bureau has it's advantages. I know some of the men that run the butcher's shops and I've called their houses to find out if this was some part of a butcher strike or something. The only one I was able to reach was Mr Anderson, and he told me he was on his way to Mexico for a long overdue vacation. Luckily he's always found me attractive, and after telling him I was flattered but didn't think Mrs Anderson would be very pleased to have him take me out to dinner, he agreed to sell me the remaining pig's blood he had in the shop when he closed last week. It's only about five pints, and it's not the freshest, but it will have to do for Spike until I can convince one of the butchers in the next town over that I really want to buy their left-over pig's blood. I don't see what's so hard to believe about that. And who is this Carrie that they think I want to play a joke on?
I gave Spike the weekend off after giving him the pints I keep here at the shop. He hasn't done much more than pace around and curse about the closed butcher's shops in town, anyway. Not to mention he's scaring off the paying cutomers with his attitude. He even growled at one that asked him where we kept the crow feathers. Normally I find this attractive, but when it's directed towards me during sex, not when it's at the customers. Besides, I caught him looking at my neck the other night when he came over.
After I close this evening, I'll take him the pig's blood that Mr Anderson dropped off this morning on his way to the airport. I'll even add the cinammon to it.

Well, it's finally safe to turn the television back on again. Although all of the other stores are still trying to get rid of their excess merchandise left-over from that damn holiday. I had to go to the grocery store yesterday and was assaulted by huge displays of stuffed bunnies in hideously colored baskets.
*shudder*
Spike has been rather grumpy this past week. Apparently most of the butcher shops have either closed for remodelling or gone out of business. He's had to cut down his meals to conserve whatever blood supply he has left. If he runs out before any of them re-open, I'll call around to see if I can get some shipped to me from another town. Can't have him going hungry when there's perfectly good blood out there to be purchased. He looked terrible the last time he was unable to eat and had to beg food off of his enemy.
My meeting with Ms Hamilton, or Sam as she prefers, went very well. She really listened to what I had to say, unlike some other people. Since she's offering to pay me, I can afford to pay for the shipping on Spike's blood if it's necessary.

A customer wanted to know about my days as a vengeance demon today. Ms Hamilton is a demonologist, and has heard of my work. I was more than happy to answer her questions, so we've set up a time for me to be interviewed by her on Friday after I close the shop. She's even going to pay me for my stories! It's about time someone appreciated all of my useful knowledge.
I had to make a sign today for the shop that says "No Bunnies Here!". Customers kept coming in and asking if we sold them, because the pet stores were out and we're a magic shop. Why would we have bunnies? Well, we have spell books and ingredients to summon bunnies, but why would you want to? Once you get one bunny, they multiply and then you have many bunnies, all hopping around and twitching their noses, why would I want to encourage that? Even I have my standards, you know. I will not be responsible for unleashing that evil on Sunnydale, no matter how profitable it might be.
This whole human custom of using bunnies to celebrate Easter is very disturbing. Last night I was innocently eating my dinner and watching the evening news when suddenly there was this bunny on T.V singing! And then he turned into more bunnies, and suddenly there were hundreds of them filling up a store! All of them singing some song about Peter in this creepy little voice, it made my skin crawl. I'm not turning the T.V on again until this horrible holiday is over with.

My shop is once again open and back to being profitable. Honestly, there ought to be an insurance company that provides help to shop owners that are prone to frequent demon attacks. I'm not sure how much longer our insurance company will continue to pay for damage due to "violently insane" customers. Not to mention our rates keep rising because of the frequent damage. Surely someone else could see how profitable a company like that could be besides just me. Perhaps I should talk to Giles and see if he'd like to invest in starting one with me, we could offer the shopkeepers of Sunnydale an alternate choice in insurance without having to make up reasons for why their shops were destroyed in the first place.
The human that was responsible for sending the demons to try and rob my shop has been taken care of. We all went to the house he stole last week and stopped his plans to do any more damage to the innocent people of Sunnydale. I let quite a few of his minions how I felt about it, too, before they were either killed or ran away. I heard from Fakir that word's out on the grapevine not to mess with me or my shop if you don't want to see the business end of my bat. That makes me proud, I haven't terrorized anyone since my vengeance days and it feels good to know I can still strike fear into the hearts of demons, if not humans.
I haven't heard anything from Antonio, either. Spike hasn't reported anymore demons or vamps harrassing him, so I believe Antonio has given up. Which is good, because I have other things to do than worry about what he's going to do next.

I know who sent those demons to rob my shop. Not personally, but I have a description and a name now. Of course, it may be a fake name but it's still a name. And I have an address.
After interrogating a few demons and vampires last night, Spike and I came across a woman being attacked by the Espresso Pump. Spike started to interrogate the vamp that was attacking her, and I spoke to the woman. She told me that the vampire had been sent after her for crossing this man that she believes has been robbing banks. When she mentioned the demons and leather, I knew he was the one behind the attempted robbery and destruction of my shop. Spike staked the vamp after I told him we didn't need him anymore. Well, after I beat on him with my baseball bat a few times. The vamp, that is, not Spike.
I'm still waiting for the new glass cases to be installed at my shop, so I'm going to Buffy's this afternoon to tell her I know who she needs to go beat up. He's human, so she can't kill him, but she can hit him a few times. He has demons she can kill, though. I suppose we'll turn him in to the police after she gets rid of his minions.

Nobody's found out who sent those demons to rob my shop yet, so I'm taking things into my own hands. Well, actually Spike's hands, and my gift for interrogation. I know there has to be a demon or a vamp around here that knows something. Word spreads quickly on the demon grapevine and I intend to find out what exactly the latest word is. I'm taking my Super Soaker 1200 CPS and my baseball bat in case any of them need a little motivation to talk. Not that Spike's not motivation enough, but you never know.
I also plan on telling Spike that Antonio's the one that's been sending vamps and demons after him recently while we're out looking for informants. There haven't been any more attacks on him since Antonio came to see me that I know of, so perhaps Antonio's taken my advice and gone home. Then again, he did send me a note apologizing with some flowers the other day, but I had them sent back along with a note of my own. So far I've yet to hear anything more from him. Maybe I'll get lucky and see him tonite; that way I can hit him with my bat like I should've done when he slapped me. Bastard.

Antonio came to see me the other day. I was trying to sweep up the merchandise and broken glass when he came in. I didn't even know he was in town, so you can imagine my surprise. Then he started talking to me about Spike, and how he couldn't believe that I would choose to be with Spike rather than him. Well, I didn't know I had chosen! Antonio's the one that left town abruptly and never called again after that big mess at Willow and Tara's reception. A woman has needs, you know. Of course, had I known that Antonio felt more for me than he had said when he was here last, I may not have slept with Spike in the first place. Then again, I've always admired the way that Spike is so nicely shaped. Not to mention I'm not sure I want a conventional human relationship anymore. I thought I did when I was with Xander, with all the things that go along with it like marriage and children. Or possibly without children, I granted a lot of wishes to women in labor who had been left by the father of the children they were currently giving birth to. I could have that with Antonio, if I didn't want to rip his entrails out and strangle him with them right now, that is.
Then Antonio went on to explain how sorry he was that he has been harrassing Spike for the past few weeks. Apparently he's been trying to get Spike to give me up so he can have me. I would've been flattered if it wasn't for the sending demons and other vampires after Spike part. I'm not just another of his possessions, you know, and I told him so. He got angry then and had the nerve to actually slap me! Me! Does he not know who I am?! I used to destroy men like him for doing less! Which reminds me, I hope he doesn't summon Astraeia. She's bound to accept his summons, since he could be considered a scorned man.
And when was Spike going to tell me about all of this? Unless he was trying to be noble and didn't want me to worry about him. Which would be sweet, but unlike Spike. Perhaps Spike doesn't realize that the demons and vampires that have been after him lately were hired by Antonio? At least I know it wasn't him that sent the demons to rob my shop, I asked him and he said "No, that would not accomplish anything". Well, I told him he could go right back to Italy, because I was not going to stop having sex with Spike just because he decided that he wants me now. Besides, I have more important things to do, like get my shop back together and open, not to mention tracking down who sent those demons to rob it in the first place.

I had a nice quiet evening of sex planned with Spike last night, well maybe not quiet, but that's when the local gang of biker demons decided to try and rob my shop! Honestly, what would they want with magic supplies? That race of demons are usually more concerned with smashing and looting people's houses and taking over towns than they are with how to turn your friends into toads. Of course Spike immediately thought they were there to kill him, but if that were the case they wouldn't have been stuffing the Slug Candles into their leather vests and heading up the ladder for Giles' books. Those security cameras come in handy sometimes, you know.
After reminding Spike that it was his job to protect the merchandise and sending him out there, I picked up an axe to help defend my shop. There were at least ten of those demons out there and a few vamps as well, and Spike may be good at the fighting, but he's not that good. If he were then he'd be the Slayer and not Buffy. Which would mean he'd also be a girl, and probably sleeping with Willow and not me.
That's when Buffy and Faith came in. Apparently they heard all of the glass and merchandise being broken from outside and came to see what was going on. I let them take over and stuck to whacking any of the demons that got too close to my merchandise or Spike. Well, he was recently injured and I didn't want him to have to take another sick day. Although now that my shop's been all busted up again, he won't be needed for security reasons at work for a few days. It doesn't mean he won't be needed for other reasons, though.
Once the demons and Buffy and Faith destroyed almost everything that was in the shop, Xander came in with his pickaxe. Of course there was nothing left for him to use it on, even the big table had been broken. Spike said he thought that it was also peculiar for those demons to rob my shop, and naturally that got Xander and Buffy to thinking there's a new big bad in town. It seems that Giles' museum was also robbed, and they took books about the Hellmouth. Now we have to go over to Buffy's tonite for a Scooby meeting. Why don't we have these meetings before these disasters happen? If we had had one after the museum was robbed, maybe my shop wouldn't have been destroyed again. But no, we always have to wait until the Magic Box looks like a herd of Fyarl demons went through it.

Well, this is just inconvenient now. Those vamps that were picking fights with Spike recently have now progressed into demons. And with tails. Tails that have been throwing Spike around and causing him to have to spend a night alone in his crypt recuperating instead of in my apartment giving me many orgasms! At least he's being reasonable and telling Buffy about this now. It is her job, you know. Just because she doesn't get paid for it doesn't mean she can go off dancing with Faith instead of doing her Slayer duties.
I don't know when she and Faith got all chummy, but that's what she's been doing. Going out dancing with her, I mean. I called over there earlier to complain about the demon that assaulted Spike recently, and Buffy was still in bed. That's when I found out about her being out dancing almost every night since Faith came for a visit. Well, that's all fine and good, as long as they do some slaying, too. You'd think with two Slayers in town there wouldn't be these demons with tails running around freely assaulting people. I haven't seen Giles in a few weeks, either. He really needs to pull himself out of those books and get Buffy to do her job.
