Die Bilder habe ich für einen Wettbewerb hier bei livejournal gemacht, Nummer 1 hat sogar den zweiten Platz belegt ;-D

Einige Ältere unter euch erinnern sich vielleicht noch an "Ross the Boss" Friedmann, den EX-Guitaristen und Mitbegründer von Manowar. Er hat nun mit seiner Band "Ross the Boss" das Album "new metal leader" herausgebracht. Ich habe es mir angehört und finde es ganz ok, es klingt wie Manowar bei ihren ersten 4 Alben, nur Erics Stimme/Gesang kann von dieser Band nicht imitiert werden, was mir persönlich fehlt, wenn ich die Lieder höre. Deren Sänger versucht zwar wie Eric zu singen/schreien, aber erreicht einfach nicht sein Niveau. Meiner Ansicht nach sollte er auch nicht versuchen eine EricKopie zu sein, sonderen seinen Stil finden, welchen ich klar in einer "rockigeren" Gesangsart sehe.

Ich wüsste gern, was Joey von der CD seines EX-Kollegen hält oder ob er sich dadurch bedroht fühlt, weil einige unzufriedene Fans sich evtl. von Manowar abwenden könnten (die "Ross soll wiederkommen und Karl gehen" Fraktion). Joeys Kompositionen und Texte sind im Moment ja nicht gerade originell, trotz angekündigter Großprojekte (Buch/Film/Album/PC-Spiel). Ich spreche hier garnicht von der Kritik an der Organisation der diesjährigen Magic Circle Festivals.

Some of the older fans might remember "Ross the Boss" Friedmann, Manowar´s former guitarplayer and Co-founder. He now published the album "new metal leader" with his, named after himself, band "Ross the Boss".
I think the songs are ok and they sound like Manowar´s frist 4 albums, but I miss Eric´s voice and singing abilitys. Their singer shouldn´t try to imitate Eric´s styl, but find his own way of singing which I see in a more "rocky"-way.
I wonder what Joey thinks about this album and wether he considers him to be a rival or not, because some unhappy Manowarfans might like Ross better (the "Ross in , Karl out"-fraction). Joey´s songwritting was criticised recently by some fans, despite the announced big book/film/album/pcgame-project. And I´m not talking about the critics about the not well organiced MC-Festival08.

Eigentlich habe ich ja mein lg auf Englisch geführt, damit ich international verstanden werde und mein Englisch übe...aber nun wird es hier auch mehr deutsche Einträge geben, weil nicht jeder Deutsche so gut Englisch versteht und weil es tatsächlich Interesse an deutschsprachigen Einträgen gibt.

Nun kommen sie ;-D

On thursday, I went to that concert,that I won tickets for(Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra Prague playing songs by ABBA). It was an openair concert at a vinyard/castle. First, I thought it was supposed to be an instrumental concert only, but it was a combination between a rockcoverband playing and singing ABBA songs accompanied by the orchestra (which was really cool and reminded me of synphonic metal ,lol). I know ABBA from CDs only, so I can´t compare it to the original performance. The only thing that, I recognized to be different was the czech accent of the singers (two women dressed like Agneta and AnniFried and two men being Björn and Benni), but the violinplayers had no accent , lol. The conductor played violin, too.
The audience really liked it and "clapped along" with the music and we had fireworks at the end (and got lightners at the entrance, to hold them up at the end of the concert).
We were lucky, that the weather was ok during the concert,because we had a thunderstorm that night.

But I never went to a metalconcert so far... ;-(

Yesterday,I went to see that movie and was a little disappointed, because the plot was so thin and nothing new ,it was like taken from a TV-episode and stretched to movielength. Even the first movie was better than that one. I think, a comeback won´t work with such a not interessting movie.
What do you think about the new movie ?

Callum Keith Rennie had a part in it, he played a criminal (like he does most of the time ?),but it´s difficult for me to judge his perfomance without hearing the original voice.

I just painted the colorful letters not those backgroundpatterns Stuart did, because it would have made it look too chaotic...and tried to make it look like "popart" instead.

This drawing is inspired by a manowar-screenshot, but it´s not exactly like it. The screenshot got something, some expression of him singing, that captures his feelings so well. Maybe I´m wired, but to me he´s the hottes man wrapped in skintight leather ever...
