It seems like I'm always a bit grumpy after the weekend... >_> [Monday July 21st, 2008 @10:09am] [ mood | blah ] So yes, back to work, Monday morning, don't want to be here, etc. :P The weekend was good though. Got to hang out with fuyu_no_fuhei, which was nice. :) ...Unfortunately, she had to witness me practicing the fine art of sucking at video games (even really easy ones) and generally making an ass out of myself in the process. Oh well. ^_~ I also saw the movie Kairo (a/k/a Pulse) which was scary, but also pretty depressing. @_@ Seemed more like a social commentary on the state of personal isolation in Japan than a horror movie, to me, but... It was really good. *_* I did not see The Dark Knight, but I will, later this week. I also survived our office picnic on Saturday. Oh, and I started That Fic. *nod* >_> And I think that's about all. I hope everyone had a great weekend though, and those of you back in the office today like me, I...wish you well. :P ...Ah, and I also watched the first three episodes of Antique Bakery. Random Blossam sighting... [Thursday July 17th, 2008 @4:49pm] [ mood | curious ] I didn't notice it right away, but... Nagayan's wearing that Blossam wristband thing from a few years ago (this one, but in pink) here :D I don't think I ever remember seeing him (or anyone) wear that before. And I think it's cute. :D And while we're on the subject... What's going on with his hair here? Is it a wig? Is it just the angle? It looks really short though, and... I can't figure out what I'm looking at. :P (tokie_chan - I must be insane, because I'm totally still trying to figure this out. ^_~) ...Can you tell I've had a really interesting day at work today? :P I actually got a lot done in the morning, but then over lunch Alyson and I went to the art fair again (just for an hour this time) and I haven't been able to bring myself to be very productive since. ELT+Nagayan+Bambino~ [Wednesday July 16th, 2008 @9:08am] [ mood | surprised ] Okay, so I just figured out a very interesting connection. :D I was looking through the Every Little Thing cast blogs, and scrolled past this entry, which I'd seen before, but somehow just today, I realized that one of the girls in the second and third pictures looked familiar. Poked around some more just to verify, but sure enough, it's 小松彩夏 who plays Kozue in Bambino!! *__* And this really excites me, for some reason. :P In other news, I'm trying really hard not to be in a bad mood today, and I'm not sure how well it's working. *sighs* It's turning out to be one of those days were everything grates on my nerves, even though I know it's not that bad. :P At least it's art fair though, and I get to take a two hour lunch. \^o^/ (26 made it count|Speak your mind)

[Wednesday July 9th, 2008 @8:50am] [ mood | chipper ] I really liked Wall-E. ♥ Seriously - I highly recommend that all of you see this movie right now, if you haven't yet. XD I honestly wasn't even that excited about it from the previews, and I was worried that it wouldn't live up to the hype, but... It's really pretty unique and special, I think. I love the fact that for the first good bit of the movie, there's no talking - nothing but the soundtrack, and that they're absolutely able to tell the story that way, and have it be completely effective. *__* Plus, I loved all of the Hello Dolly references, which were...very random, but did a good job of endearing me from the very beginning. ^________________^ So yes, I was happy to have a weird and random excuse to go to the movies last night. ^_~ The weird and random excuse was that the power went out again, this time for no reason at all. :P The weather was perfectly clear, perfectly sunny, and all the sudden about an hour after I got home from work, it just went out, and didn't come back on until just after I'd gone to bed at something like 1AM. Ohhh, Monday. >_> [Monday July 7th, 2008 @8:46am] [ mood | blah ] I really don't feel like being at work. *sigh* Weekend was great though. Friday was Jeremy's concert out in...somewhere in Ohio...and so I sat outside and listened to a bunch of patriotic band songs and nearly had my eardrums blown out by the cannons that were set off at the end of the 1812 overture. :P On our way back, we stopped off in Toledo because they were having a big July 4th celebration down by the boardwalk/riverfront area, so we walked around there for a while, looking at people having fun on their boats, sampled some food from the random food vendors, and then came back before the fireworks because we didn't feel like waiting the 3 hours we would have had to wait for them to start. We ended up sitting around and watching Zettai Kareshi and then went out to the park to see some random neighborhood fireworks later, which was nice. :) Saturday during the day, we didn't do much, and then Saturday night we were supposed to have a few people over for a scary anime night thing, but that turned into just...having one person over, Jeremy's friend Allison from Starbucks (because everyone else bailed/didn't show up at the last second) :P It was nice though, and Allison brought fireworks and we set them off in the park after it got dark, which was fun. I hadn't done fireworks in a long time. XD Yesterday I finished Zettai Kareshi (T____T) and... That's about it. Went to the park again, went on a long walk downtown with Jeremy, discovered a random cafe within relative walking distance of our apartment... And now... I now have a lot of mosquito bites, and I don't want to be at work, since I was rather getting used to not working. :P Tonight I get to take Jeremy to the airport AGAIN, so that he can go on a fun trip to Colorado without me. Again. :P But that's okay, because I get to visit Genie this weekend, and that's only...a few days away. \^o^/ ...I suppose now would be a good time to get to work, maybe, since there are actually things I could/should be doing. ^_~ I hope you all had a great weekend (celebrating, or not) <3 (2 made it count|Speak your mind)

[Tuesday June 10th, 2008 @8:22am] [ mood | disgruntled ] I should probably wait until I'm a little less grumpy before I update, but... jkfgjfhgkjfhgkjh Everything is stupid. :P :P The a/c is broken in the apartment, and at first I didn't mind so much, and was sort of thinking of it as saving electricity, but after 3 days in a row above 90... It's starting to make me mad. And I have no idea when they're actually coming to fix it, but if I had to guess, I'd say that it will be at least another week. Since that's just about how fast things get fixed around here, in general. But what I'm more mad about is the fact that last night the power supply on my computer at home died. ;__; And apparently Best Buy and/or anywhere around here that sells computer stuff doesn't have the kind we need, so we have to order it from Newegg... And I'm just not really in the mood to be without a computer at home for 3+ days. *sigh* And I also spilled something on the shirt I was going to wear to work this morning that's dry-clean-only and had to throw something else on at the last second so I'm feeling all disheveled at work and it's raining and... Work, writing, rambling... [Monday June 2nd, 2008 @3:07pm] [ mood | working ] I hate sitting at the front desk. :P Let me tell you why. :D So the way our office is set up is that we have a main entrance to the 3rd floor, which is where the front desk that I'm currently sitting at is, but we have something like three departments up here, only one of which I have anything to do with, so... People are constantly coming up to me when I'm up here (because it's the first thing they see when they get off the elevator), and telling me very officially that they're here to see such-and-such-person that I've never heard of, and then they either get really stressed out, or really pissed off when I have no idea who that person is. We don't even have so much as a list of names here for the other departments up here either. And it's just... annoying. :P I feel especially bad when people come for interviews. I just know that when I go to things like that, it's just...unnerving if the person you're greeted by at first doesn't know what the hell you're talking about, you know? XD;;; Would it be so hard for everyone to give a list of names of people who might show up to the front desk? Either that, or they should tell these people that the front desk isn't a reception desk, and that when they show up, they should just go directly to their office. And...it's really not that big of a deal. I have no idea why I'm rambling so much about this. @__@ [/absolutely pointless rant] :P ...On another completely unrelated note, I realized today that I don't write nearly as much as I used to, and this makes me kind of sad. I was looking back at a fic that it felt like I just wrote, and realized I'd written it almost a YEAR ago. And then I realized that the reason it felt like I'd just written it is because there really weren't that many others between then and now that I'd finished and posted. *sighs* It's not that I don't have ideas either, it's more that... I feel like I can't write things the way I want to see them written? I feel like I'm in the mood for something really detail-driven, and I just... can't do that, because I don't have the attention span to see it through, or something. Hrm. >_< Anyway. I'll get back to work now. ^_~ I'm feeling moderately motivated, for once.
