There is nothing like rushing around in the morning before work, hurriedly grabbing all your trash, cramming everything you can into your recycling bucket, setting it out and getting to work just in time...

... then realizing today is a federal holiday and, therefore, they won't be picking up trash.

ever since they privatized our trash collection, we get it picked up regardless of holiday, unless it's like labor/memorial/thanksgiving/christmas
