The con is going really well, lots of fun people and good music.
We arrived around 8 on Friday night, greeted tons of people and then saw some fun concerts by Judith, JoEllyn and Rand. UT's performer circle with Martin and Andy, Daniel and Melissa, Jeff and Maya and Rand was next and it was a really wonderful set. The con suite was gracious enough to help us host a UT 10th anniversary party at 12:30. Con suite mistress, Robin Holly, made the most delicious maple baklava to help us celebrate.

Saturday started with UT's kiddie concert, which was great fun, and then concerts by [info]filkerdave, Robin, Dan and Melissa, as well as guests Erica Neely and [info]bardling. Rika and surprise attendee, Katy, also performed some lovely duets together during Rika's concert. GOH Jeff and Maya Bohnhoff rocked the house and got a well-deserved standing ovation. Ah, man, those two are amazing performers!

At the Interfilk auction each of UT bid on and won one volume of an out of print trilogy of novels by Maya Bohnhoff. Yay, now all of us can read all three :). Thanks to [info]autographedcat for buying our UT "Sushi and High Tea" package.

Open filk was fun and included two parodies of "The Lady" and a lovely version of Seanan's "Galadriel's Lament". I didn't sleep that well on Friday night, so I crashed pretty early last night, but I hope to make up for that tonight. It's a real luxury to be here the entire day today (we fly back to TO in the morning). You have to love summertime cons. UT plans to just relax today and enjoy friends.

Exercise log- Whee, I actually have one, which I didn't expect this weekend :). We walked two miles to a restaurant for dinner last night, putting me at 277 miles along the roads of Middle-earth.

The kids' circle was great fun, as was just getting to see you this weekend. And I finally added you to my reading list. :)

Sounds like you had a great time (like I'm surprised. :) )

And I agree- Jeff and Maya completely rock. :)
