Can anyone point me towards some great font and text tutorials? I don't know how to do much with fonts, mine are really boring.
Also, does anyone know of any tutorials dealing with backgrounds? I don't know how to get my icon subject in front of a cool background unless I use the pen tool. I have shaky hands so I suck at the pen tool. I hope there's another way!
Lastly, does anyone have any gradient tool tutorials? This is one tool that I just don't get. Thanks so much, any help is appreciated!

Hey!
um...Idk where I read this but it was an amazing fic where Naruto has a think for Neji but accidently leaves a love letter in Sasuke's locker whose locker is next to Neji's and then they later end up living together because Iruka moves in with Kakashi and Sasuke. Kakashi is the owner of the school that Naruto and Sasuke attend. Naruto loves Burt's Bees stuff and gets his nose pierced his best friend is Sakura he calls her when he's in the bath after sasuke tries to get him to be his slave, which fails b/c Naruto gets fed up with him and tells Neji that he likes him then runs away. Sasuke gets a new car and is then okay with the move. Sasuke gets sick and Naruto takes care of him. Sasuke then cannot sleep without Naruto or something so he's always going in Naruto's room to sleep. um...other stuff happens something about a motorcycle crash and Naruto being in love with this mystery guy who died but I can't remember much else.
I hope that some oen knows what I'm talking about *sigh* I'm all sad because I left for college without thinking to copy over my bookmarked items from my home computer...^.^;

Kakashi's birthday is about a week from now... I know some of you guys are probably already busying yourself with fanart or fanfic presents, but I'd like to propose a challenge and get as many people involved as possible for the special day. Here goes:
Kakairu Community Drabble Challenge: 100 Ways to Fall in Love
RULES:
- Within 500 words (the limit of an LJ comment), describe the EXACT MOMENT Kakashi or Iruka falls in love with the other.
- post the story as a comment to this thread, with the title of your story in the subject line
- it can be funny, serious, angsty, birthday-themed or not, as long as it screams LOVE♥
- each person is only allowed ONE ENTRY, so make sure you pick your favourite scenario!
- Please do not post anonymously
All entries will be screened until 15th September (I'll make it American time, so Australians like me'll have to wait, but I don't mind delayed gratification anyway :P), it'd be great if you can get your post in before the date, but submission will stay open after. Feel free to comment on the stories themselves! But please make sure you keep them neatly in their respective sub-threads.
I've tentatively set the goal to 100 stories (hence the title... the comm has over 2000 members, it shouldn't be too hard to reach, right? ^_^;) But I want to keep this as a permanent fixture in the community and I hope that one day we can make it to 1000. <3

In other news, I'm so crazy busy. Man. I really need to catch up on a lot of things. D,: Oh man oh man oh man oh man oh man... I don't know if I can even get to it before this weekend. Dammit. Here's a quick art dump of some of the things I've doodled at school in the past three weeks.
By the way, my tablet is completely dead. So very, very depressing!

So I was wondering how to get the smell out if the skeins? Any thoughts or ideas?
The fabric I am happy to wash the fabric, but I am not sure about the skeins...

Book 93: The Road by Cormac McCarthy, 2006. 256 pages.
This post-cataclysmic novel about the journey of an unnamed man and his unnamed son through a destroyed landscape was the August selection for one of my reading groups. I found it a very depressing read with its bleak and dark vision of humanity and the fate of the earth. It generated a lot of words in my review as I sought to understand my negative responses to it.
Book 94: The Stand by Stephen King, 1978, revised in 1990. Complete and Uncut Edition, 1421 pages and unabridged audio edition read by Bruce Huntley (approx 33 hours).
I'd had this as my 'audiobook in the car' for some months as well as dragging the doorstop size paperback around with me. I decided to review it now as its themes were similar to that of The Road. It's a novel I have read a number of times though this was first encounter with the audio version. The Stand tells of the events in the USA as a super flu decimates the population. It follows a number of survivors who polarize in two communities that come into conflict with each other. An epic tale with a Christian theme that I consider it one of King's finest works. In some ways it is quite pessimistic but much less so than McCarthy - at least most animal and all plant life survives. My full reviews for Books 93 & 94 can be found here.
Book 95: Dark Fire (Matthew Shardlake Book 2) by C. J. Sansom, 2004. 503 pages.
Set in London in 1540, hunchback lawyer Shardlake become engaged in a case trying to prove the innocence of a young woman accused of murder. He is given a stay of execution for twelve days due to the influence of his former patron Thomas Cromwell, who needs Shardlake's help in recovering a formula for the legendary Greek Fire. He has a deadline of twelve days to accomplish this before Cromwell is due to give a demonstration to the King.
I enjoyed this very much, even more than his first in the series Dissolution. I think this was because it was set amidst the political intrigues in Tudor London. My full review of Book 95 here.
Book 96: The War at Troy by Lindsay Clarke, 2004. 452 pages.
A skilful retelling of the Trojan War including the various factors that led to the war.
Book 97: The Good Fairies of New York by Martin Millar, 1992. 2004 edition with introduction by Neil Gaiman. 288 pages.
A delightful comic fantasy about the misadventures of two Scottish thistle fairies in New York. A complex, chaotic plot and a myriad of characters that also comments on social issues amid the whimsy. My reviews of Books 96 and 97 can be found here.
