12:46 pm - Three AU Severus Snape drabbles
Didn't use to think that I'd write HP fanfic, at one point. Didn't use to think I'd be able to write drabbles, either.

Two attempts at humour and one at angst.

Title: (possibly spoilery)
Category: drabbles
Character: Severus Snape
Rating: PG

2:26 pm - To think that after all this time
This would be my entry into the HP fandom.

I'll probably post some actual thoughts about Deathly Hallows in a day or two. Meanwhile, here's a little bit of fic that something forced me to write last night.

Title: The Special Edition
Category: Humour, post DH
Word count: 819
Rating: G
Summary: Trying to keep your ship from sinking? Dislike the ending of the Deathly Hallows? Find the writing style out-of-place? Want to dismiss it for all your fic-writing purposes? Here's a quick, easy fix.
Warning: DH spoilers

Right back at ya, JKR )

ETA: I think the summary is non-spoilery enough, but if it isn't, please let me know.

A tune gets stuck in my head, and it's the Thomas the Tank Engine theme. I'm definitely getting old now.

I'm still on a high cloud after the incredibly review you sent me for Long Night. It's been a while since I've looked at that fic indeed. Going back to read it, however, kind of made me think. There were a lot of stuff that now don't quite read so well, which I suppose is to be expected with old fics. But there were quite a bit of more substantial things--I wouldn't quite yet admit that it was bad, exactly, but I would have done a lot of things differently now.

Ramblings about Nerdanel, Fëanor, and the flight of the Noldor )

It almost makes me want to write it all over again, not to replace the fic, but it might make a somewhat interesting side-by-side comparison of how I thought five years ago and how I want to think now.

Half an hour ago it was snowing like a million torn-up goose comforters in the sky, and now it's sunny but still close to freezing. Looks like another long winter ahead.

Recentlt I've been tempted by the strange desire to return to the Tolkien fandom; even dug up a bunch of ancient notes and outlines for my Elwing fics. Except I just don't see where the time's going to come from...Oh well.
