Whee!!
So... ringing in ears persists. Balance slightly better, although I think that's partially due to the fact that I'm getting used to relying on visual cues for standing and walking straight. Saw 4 doctors yesterday, which was fun. Basically, the following happened: doctor does a series of tests. Doctor looks puzzled. Doctor vanishes for 15-20 minutes and returns with colleague. Doctor watches as colleague performs exact same set of tests. Both doctors look puzzled together. Then, I get sent for a CT scan, and then to DCAM, where the same thing happens again with two different doctors. Tomorrow I get an MRI, and hopefully the mystery of whether this is a viral ear problem that will clear up on its own or some form of damage to the base of my brain will be resolved.

On a more AWEXOME note, theAssbook.net has 943 registered members representing 99 schools. There were two articles about it, one in the maroon and one in the stanford daily. It still cracks me up every time I work on it... ah. I still have a few things I want to do with it (events, maybe even groups should be up this weekend), mostly, of course, turn the UofC into a cesspool of vice and sin.

The thing is, it's actually more or less an ethical thing for me - not just not unethical, but actually something where I feel I'd be doing good. I'm not sure why, but there is now an "Ideology" paragraph on the About page. Needs some work.

Aw. MRIs are fun, if you expect them to be. Lemme know how it goes.

Well, this one wasn't particularly. It took 2 hours and they botched the first i.v., sending shooting pain into my right arm until I screamed and they pulled me out of the machine to discover their mistake. Thankfully the second one worked, because I was running out of arms. But yeah, I'll find out the results on Tuesday or Wednesday... and it's over, so that's good, because it was one of the most intensely unpleasant experiences of my life. Much worse than the time they set my arm without anesthetic. I thought I hated needles more than anything else, but it turns out that's only because I'd never had an i.v. before.

Did you like how your picture came out? Everyone in the office who saw it thought it was funny stuff. :)

On another note, man, what are you going to do about server space? Do you have enough, now?

Server space was never an issue. I'm using about 25MB right now, which means it could be running off of the space I have in my CS home directory. The server, for the record, has a 180GB drive, so I won't be running out of space anytime fast. What I am worried about is processor use... a lot of the work the server is currently doing is non-trivial... if I get too many users, they may end up seeing a message like Error 406: Server on Fire. So, I want to avoid that.
