What we have here is the top 106 books most often marked as "unread" by LibraryThing’s users. As in, they sit on the shelf to make you look smart or well-rounded.
Bold the ones you've read, underline the ones you read for school, italicize the ones you started but didn't finish.
Here's the twist: add (*) beside the ones you liked and would (or did) read again or recommend. Even if you read 'em for school in the first place.

Well, damn. I was tentatively looking forward to OotP, and although it was extremely strong in some areas, I was incredibly disappointed.

Wow. I get back to spending time on the internets only to find that fandom is exploding!
And I thought things were going to be chill until the 7th Harry Potter came out. But all the stuff with FanLib and now Warriors for Innocence is really messed up and totally not what I expected to come back to. Wowness.

This is so cool:
In other news, my life is awesome, and I was elected Junior Treasurer (which means I'll be junior next semester, senior the semester after that) of Alpha Delt (the co-ed Greek society of awesome geekiness I'm in)! Yayness!

I just finished a (short) paper in the exact same amount of time it took me to listen to the Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack. As in, I started with the Oveture, and right this second I'm listening to the very end of the "End Title."
I thought that was cool enough to share. What a good way to finish Halloween (even if it's tecniqually over).

I’ve been meaning to write a long post about why my boyfriend is awesome and how happy I am with him and such. But I haven’t because I’m lazy. However, I do feel the need to share this brief conversation we had, because it totally made my day:
ME: But honestly, you really don’t have to worry about me cheating on you…unless Johnny Depp shows up wanting to have sex with me. Then you need to worry.
HIM: If Johnny Depp shows up, on this campus, specifically asking for you because he wants to have sex…then I’m pretty sure that the next day Orlando Bloom will show up looking for me. Not because he’s overwhelmingly attracted to me, but for revenge.
ME:...*adores the boyfriend*
This is also a guy who has a) started watching Gilmore Girls with me, not because I asked him to, but because he realized he liked it after watching 15 min. of an episode, and b) responded to the statement “Luke is basically the perfect Hufflepuff,” with “we have to talk about that.” I thought he was going to take issue with my Harry Potter dorkishness, but no. What he meant by “we have to talk about that” was “we have to talk about the Hogwarts Houses, because I don’t understand them would like you to explain them to me, partially because I would like to learn, and partially because I find geekishness adorible/sexy.”
Seriously now. He’s the best.

I find it very sad that iTunes does not sell HBO show. Because The Wire is just about the one show on television that I'd be willing to spend a couple bucks on to watch every week. Heck, I'd pay like, ten bucks to watch it every week. If I had to watch only on TV show period, it would be The Wire. And yet, it's the show I've had to give up here. Sad.
O well. I guess I'm in for a very intense DVD watching experince in the future. Or...ooooo, maybe I can watch all the episodes thusfare On Demand when I go home next week. I think I can. That's exciting! And then I can watch the rest at Thanksgiving and Winter breaks. Spiffy!

| Time: | 1:24 pm. |

Wrote this for summer flinging. Originally poster here. (Note: the pseudonym is not related to the Lost character, but is (of course), a reference to Peter, of Ender-verse. Love him.
Title: Light and Warm Fandom: Harry Potter Characters: Harry, Draco, random Death Eaters Word Count: 1,533 Rating: Pg-13, for language and angst Summary: In hell past rivalries lose their meaning Author's Notes: I did a bit of experimenting with style for this. And by that I mean I had lots of fun with the scene breaks. Thank you SO much to Natalia for the quick and wonderful beta. Any mistakes left are completely my own.

I was going to do lots of HW today.
Then I agreed to explain all of Lost to a friend of mine.
Yes, it's been four hours. But he understands. Wow.

I have a very strong desire to read "Repent, Harlequin! Said the Tick Tock Man" right now, and I can find the full text via google. I hate it when the internet doesn't have what I want :(
