CONGRATULATIONS TOKI STA. MARIA!!!
congrats on being chosen as the newest Crew member!! super proud of you!!

it was the first Club GA of the year last Wednesday, and this, as well as other things, were announced, such as the Club's new vision-mission, which really was a God-given blessing to us. also, i got to see the apps become new mems (CONGRATULATIONS JOHN BAUZON!! im so proud of you blockmate :p), and i got to know other club mems a lot better.

- despite my having just one class yesterday from 10-1130, i went to UP at around 8 and stayed there until 2, just spending time in PHAn, in the AVE (the psych lib), with my orgmates and other psych people. it made me realize how much i really love my Buklod and my psych family, even if i haven't been in the department for as long as others have.

- im really grateful to ogy for accompanying me to ortigas yesterday, even if he/we got in trouble with his parents because we came kinda late at his cousin's birthday party. so yun.

ok yun lang. wala lang. goodmorning!!

My mum's prayer meetings were drawing more and more people. God would help us. We just needed to pray more. A prayer was like a tickle. Sooner or later God would have to look down to see what was tickling his bum.

Phoophie has new items! This time I got a lot of memo pads. I also got in some stationery, stickers, a Hannari Tofu pencil case, and Cactus Pups Tokidoki blind box toys. I got a lot of items back in stock as well. Phoophie accepts credit cards, Paypal, and money orders and ships anywhere in the world. There is also free shipping on orders over $100.

Recycled Magazine Picture Frame [July 18, 2008 ++ 4:54pm]

Hi everyone!
Does anyone know how to make a recycled magazine picture frame?
(Like this one: http://www.outblush.com/women/images/2008/05/recycled-magazine-picture-frame.jpg)
My friend's birthday is coming up and I really want to make one for her, but I can't figure out how to get the magazine page that tightly wound.
If anyone's had any experience with it, or ideas on how to do it, that would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

And her sweet red lips on these lips of mine
Burned like the ruby fire set
In the swinging lamp of a crimson shrine,
Or the bleeding wounds of the pomegranate,
Or the heart of the lotus drenched and wet
With the spilt-out blood of the rose-red wine.

Earring/necklace newbie- follow-up questions [July 18, 2008 ++ 1:28pm]

Thanks to all those who posted wonderful responses to my previous post.  I have one more quick question.

I am interested in using simple chain and charms for necklaces- do I just use little rings to attach or is there a better product?

For earrings, I'm interested in charms as well- I know I need the earring hooks, but other than that I don't know how to attach them - do I need pins or rings?  The simpler the better.

Thanks- sorry for the follow-up, I'm just trying to get started.

illuminate the possibilities [July 18, 2008 ++ 12:59pm]

So I have a wine bottle and a bunch of... uh... flat marble things.
I wish to illuminate the wine bottle with the flat marble things laying at the bottom of it to give it some extra color. (What ARE those things called anyway?)

pictures beneath the cut )

The two ideas I've heard that sound like they would work the best are a LED push light. (The link's just for the sake of the LED light. I don't think I'd want to use hollowed out coaster's for this project.) OR Christmas tree lights in the bottle. (I was told if I wanted to use Christmas tree lights that an LED strand would be best to avoid potential fire hazards and overheating the bottle.)

Does anyone have any experience with either of these options, insight in to which would be more illuminating, more cost effective, or any other ideas for lighting this project?

Thanks! <3

Sadly, the social experiment I have conducted on myself has given negative results.
Tonight was not how I should have spent it, and the desperate side of myself has re-awakened.
Never EVER go to a party (especially the mmmtmmmtmmmt party) without thinking of the outcome.
Tomorrow (or later) I will be spilling tonight's uneventful events to my bestfriend, who sadly, did not come with me tonight and I am missing terribly.

Oh, and always finish your homework before anything (like what Mrs. Isidro used to do in her student days).
Because unlike you (or maybe like you) I am cramming for the most annoying projects for my favorite subjects right now.

Its 2:22.
Good mornight, not yet.

I know. I just posted yesterday, but today, it's MY craft.

I'm totally proud of what I'm posting today. More polymer clay stuff.
I checked out some books from the library about Polymer clay and got some tips as well as ideas for things I could make... I wanted to go simple this time and just use black and white.

LOOK WHAT I DID!! )
