3:33 pm - Procrastination....
Well, I'm SUPPOSED to be writing a paper for my religion class. Hehe.... don't you just love procrastination? Anywho, I got finals next week X_X I'm worried about a few of them, namely my physics and computer science finals, but hopefully I can break out of this procrastination and focus on studying by then. Yeah right... Hmm, let's see... well, I'm looking forward to seeing everybody at christmas. I come home the night of the 19th into Santa Barbara airport, which means I can't be there to pick up Peter. Sorry bout that man, but were definitely gonna hang out k?Chelsea, I'm still a bit mad at you. We were supposed to hang out sometime during Thanksgiving, but I think you forgot. I even called you and you never returned my call. Oh well, hopefully I can see you this time around. Sandy, no strangling me this time if I visit ok? ^_^;; That's about it for now. I need to try and get this paper done. Oh, in case you didn't know from my last post, Mina-san means everybody and Ja mata means see ya later. So, Mina-san, ja mata. ^_^

7:08 pm - Konbanwa!
Hehe. Just taking a little break from studying japanese. I'm trying to excellerate my learning so that I can skip up to the sophomore year class by next semester. I think I'll still audit the 102 class for the extra practice :) Saa.. I should buy the second volume books sometime this week. I should be done with the first volumes then. Today Miyahara-sensei caught me off guard. I had memorized the core conversations for the section but he decided to focus on the new particles and counters we learned instead. Guess it just goes to show memorization isn't everything. I feel like calling mindy right now, donno why. We've been talking fairly regularly now, which is kinda cool. It's nice to hear a familiar voice once in awhile. The only problem is, everytime I call, tony decides that I haven't heard enough cussing recently and then decides to take it upon himself to see that I do hear enough. So maybe I won't call.
Peter... good for you man. I'm glad your working things out and stuff, that's wonderful. You shouldn't have to put up with the crap some people say about you. Who ever did say that either doesn't know you, or if they do, then they definitely aren't your friend. I don't even think I would say that to someone I didn't like, it was pretty heartless. Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing you at christmas man. Once I find out when I get in on the 19th, I'll let you know if I can be there to meet you at the airport. I hope I can :) Give me a call this weekend, alright?
Mina-san, Ja mata!

8:58 am - Weeeeeeeee!!!
I love the snow hehe ^ ^;; It started snowing here the day before halloween, which made it seem more like christmas time than it did halloween. I thought we were done yesterday, but nope, I was wrong. It started snowing again half-way through my 8 o'clock class, which was kinda bad because I hadn't dressed for it and my class was all the way on the other side of campus from my dorm. By the time I got back to my room, I had icicles growing on the tips of my hair hehe. Oh well, I like the snow anyways. Probably gonna get into a snow fight later, which should be fun with girls *evil grin*. Hmmm, I was gonna hike up to the top of Mount Y today, but I guess I can't now. Maybe it will clear up a bit by then though and I can get some spectacular pictures of the rockies covered in snow and mist o.o Oh well, ttyl!!

7:23 am - I couldn't help but post about this...
Ok I couldn't believe this when I saw it, but I think the world has finally ended as we knew it. I was looking around on the website for how to draw manga and decided I'd take a look at the art contest section and see who the winners were. Well low and behold one of the winning pieces was a manga about LDS missionaries!!! That's right! MORMON ANIME!!!!!! I saved a picture of it to my computer, just wish I could post it here for you all to see. I laughed sooo hard when I saw it hehe. When I come home at thanksgiving break I'll have to show it to you all ;) I never thought I'd see LDS anime, it's actually drawn quite well too. Anyways, just letting you all know! Talk to you laterz!

8:41 pm - ACK!
Sorry I didn't answer your aim peter! I was actually off doing church stuff for about three hours but I did see your aim and I added you to my list. Normally if my screenname says I'm on, I'm there. I look forward to talking with you next time I see you online. I wasn't aware that you could use the internet. Anyways, I'm glad your doing better and stuff. It must be cool having someone you know from back home there with you. As for me, I've been sharpening my halo skills here at college (a group of us here play it every saturday) so I look forward to playing it with you when you get back ;) Yup, I'm going to be home on the 19th of Dec. as well so I look forward to hanging with you and everyone else then. Anyways, gotta go to bed now. I have a japanese mid-term tommorow ^ ^;; Talk to you laterz!

4:41 pm - I finally updated!!!
Well, I finally stopped being lazy (after much pressure from some friends, who will remain nameless *cough* Ashley *cough* Mindy *cough, cough* ;)) and updated my live journal. So, where to begin?
I've been in Utah for about two weeks now and I'm really enjoying myself. BYU turned out to be far better than I ever hoped it to be. I've yet to meet a single jerk here (which are quite numerous in California) and everyone is nice and friendly. I couldn't count the times that some random, cute girl has struck up a conversation with me ^_^. I was a little homesick the first day coming out here, but since then I haven't been homesick at all, which surprised me because I was expecting to be homesick for awhile. The culture here is quite a bit different from California in a number of ways. For example, I still haven't got used to hearing "pop" instead of "soda." The rules on dating are quite a bit different as well. Any guy can easily get tons of dates (there are a lot more single women then guys on campus), but it's very hard to get an actual girlfriend (unless your a returned missionary). This is mainly because the girls here only get into a relationship if they think marriage is an option, which it isn't if the guy has not gone on a mission yet. Therefore, if your a freshman then you have practically no chance for a real relationship to develop, while if your a returned missionary, you better watch out for the herds of husband-hunters running about ^_^! Also, since this IS a church owned school, there isn't even a slight trace of tobacco, drugs, or alcohol anywhere on campus. I also haven't heard a curse word in well over two weeks (the only similar words being, "jerk," "crap," and the rare "shut up!").
Besides the campus culture, the city of Provo is actually really nice. It's a lot greener here than I thought it would be and it's actually quite picturesque, a belt of green plants and warm homes nestled between Utah Lake and the Rocky Mountains (which I have a spectacular view of from my dorm window, the BYU "Y" included). My roommate is pretty cool. His name is Terrell (pronounced like Darrell but with a T) and he's from Boise, Idaho. He's an avid rock climber and me and him go rock climbing regularly (there's some really good spots nearby). He's also taken two years of japanese and we both happen to be in the same japanese class. Which reminds me, I forgot to mention that I'm now double majoring and double minoring. My majors are Computer Science and Electrical Engineering while I'm minoring in Japanese and Math. Gonna keep me pretty busy, that's for sure! Well, I'm done talking for now, but I'll post a lot more soon. Love you guys and I miss you! I hope to see you all at Thanksgiving when I come home!
